It's a decent app, but it's extremely frustrating when the app closes down at night and during the weekends. I don't see a point in it, especially since the 'updates' they're making are barely noticeable, if they're updating it at all. Another frustrating thing is my payment doesn't post to my bank until four days after the scheduled payment, I'll get the confirmation that they received the payment, but it doesn't come out of my bank until way later.

If I could give it a zero star I would. Good experience for the first couple of years. But afterwards not only has the app has crashed but no notification that the app was being updated ahead of time so I can make my payment but I don't have access to most stuff I would have to use the website for anyways. Also the company in general there is no room for a tenured person to lower payments or apr rate. The customer service was also hit or miss depending on who I was connected with.

I used to be able to use the app just fine but now I can't because of so-called "WiFi connection issues". All of my other apps work just fine with my WiFi, so apparently its this app. I can't open up the app without it popping up over and over saying it cant connect. I even turned my WiFi off and it still didn't work... Fix your app. All I want to do is make my car payment. It honestly should not be that difficult to use an app.

Worked great for 1.5 years. Completely useless now. Thought I had forgotten my password. Was able to reset password, but still can't get in to pay bill. Cleared cache, didn't help. Tried Firefox, didn't help. Uninstalled, powered phone off, waited a few minutes, turned phone back on. Reinstalled. Still didn't work. Next step? Holy water and a priest.

Every month when I try to log on to pay my bill, the app is under maintenance. Every single month, for over two years. I've read "sorry for the inconvenience" so many times now that it's becoming ridiculous. If Ally is so concerned with me paying my bill on time, perhaps the only method which I have to pay it should be available at all times, not when it's convenient for Ally. Worst app I've ever been forced to use on a routine basis. 0 stars

Ally Financial and their app both absolutely suck. The app is down almost every night, but the bank is worse than the app. For auto lending they have consistently messed up my payoff on a vehicle for almost two months. I made an extra payment after the first payment attempt failed, to keep up to date. On the second attempt they processed it weeks late after receiving it weeks early, impacting my credit report. The customer service and company appear to be fully incompetent.

HORRIBLE APP!!!! It never works. I've been trying everyday to schedule payments through the app and no luck... This app is a Waste of time. They will tell you it's the area You're in. The signal isn't strong enough but lets be real. There is no possible way that every place I end up has a weak signal strength. The app just doesn't work.

The best thing I can say about it is it sometimes lets me make payments. The app (and their website) undergoes more maintenence than any product or service I've used in 30+ years on the internet and it's always when customer service is closed. It seems to exist just for the sake of having an app while completely missing the point of why that's supposed to be useful or convenient, since it's almost literally down for maintenence any time I try to use it for something.

Simple to use....when it actually works. I have been able to log in only one time since starting my loans. Constantly get an error saying the app and website are under maintenance and to call if you need help with anything. The app and website options should be convenient however they are more of a hassle than a convenience. I will say they have good customer service from my experience talking with them over the phone. That's the only reason for the stars. Deducted 2 for the lack of use of app.

App is useless at this point. It worked before, but for many months now when I log in and try and open the vehicle specifics the app either logs me out or crashes. I have removed the app and even tried reinstalling and still crashes. Google occasionally provides the following message after the app crashes. Something went wrong with Ally Auto Ally Auto closed because this app has a bug . Try updating this app after its developer provides a fix for this error

Really bad app, never works, set up payments that never go through always have to call my payment in for a fee. App always says "they are working on it.' and you can't even Access it. I think it's a scam so they can make $3.50 service charge to card over the phone . Really really bad, needs to be improved... Luckily I am most likely going to refinance and be done with ally. Do not recommend at all

Better have auto pay set up cuz the app is under maintenance 28 days of the month making it impossible to make extra payments each month or change any settings without calling them directly. Seems like a good way of keeping customers paying full interest every single month. Other than that the other 2-3 days a month the app works fine. I'd show screen shots but they aren't allowed even on the error screen for "my security" of course... pretty excited to refinance my loan for this reason.

The app used to work fine, but for weeks now it's been saying, "service temporarily unavailable" and to try back later. I've cleared the cache and data, I've uninstalled and reinstalled and have waited days between trying to log in and it's still doing it. The app has become completely worthless and it's extremely irritating when trying to pay your bill and access your account. Please fix this!

This App is completely worthless! I have not been able to make ONE payment using the app! You cannot look at your account information, no text message integration, there's no button to contact customer service, you cannot see the balance owed, payoff amounts, etc... I've not been able to submit a payment through the app since I downloaded it, despite continued attempts! Plus, it will not allow you to pay with a debit card. Terrible! A complete waste of storage space on my phone!

Too time consuming!This app is terrible!....I couldn't even get passed enrollment. I tried several times and it's impossible. They want you dob however they put a calendar up so if your born around the time I was (1965) I had to go backwards to get that calendar of 1965 and as soon as I get that the screen goes black and you have to start out. I did this é times to many! I'm done! Deleted right away! If I could taste lower, I would!

This app needs basic bug fixes / improvements. For example: - the sername doesn't save even when I select the "remember username" checkbox. - viewing pdf statements could be a better experience. I have to click "close" for the pdf to open. There area a bunch of other little things that I'm sure the QA team could find if they did proper app testing

Usable, but needs improvements. Add fingerprint login. Have your programmers add code to bring up just the number keys when entering a field that only accepts numbers. For those of you who are entering your birthdate for the first time or because you forgot your password: Tap the top left corner of the birthdate window and it will let you select the year. Much easier than scrolling backwards 48 years one month at a time, yes? This does need to be more intuitive, but the functionality is there.

The app is easy to use but doesn't not give the flexibility for a card payment like some other institutions do. I really dislike when financial institutions don't give that option to pay by card makes it more stressful having to wait for funds to be pulled out for 2 days. I like to see the payments I made same day coming out of my accounts instead of waiting. Just makes things easier to track since everything is pretty much digital.

Functionally the app is good. But, UI, UX is garbage. 1. Doesn't play well with password managers. If lastpass fills in the password, there is no option to click 'Okay' or 'Enter'. I have to work around by closing the keyboard and opening it again to be able to enter. 2. No other authentication modes supported. No fingerprint access. 3. The app name is generic and unintuitive. 'Mobile pay' is a horrible name. How am I supposed to remember to look for 'Mobile pay' instead of 'Ally Auto'?

I've had this app for 3 years and now all of a sudden it doesn't work AT ALL. I don't have auto pay set up because there might be a time I can't pay my full payment and I'd have to split my payments up because of other bills. But now when I log into Ally auto it says there's another app to use and it wants you to go there but when you put in your credentials in the other app it wants you to go BACK to the first app and the screens just go back and forth between apps but you're not able to pay...
