I use this app for my 401k and since it is through work, I did not get to choose it. I will often open it just for it to crash or go in to see how my investments are doing, but thw feature is so buggy I cannot tell. It will give you a graph that never displays or won't show accurately. I cannot see my ROR despite my funds being invested. On the surface it looks nice, but too many of the features are broken or buggy. It needs some major reworks before it will be helpful.

It's ok but a little clunky and basic. On the login screen it gives an option for fingerprint login in. It says to log in and then set it up but once you log in there are no settings. Also the "loan" part of the app locks up & won't return to the main menu. While the layout is nice the program itself needs a little work. Until then I'll just log in using my computer. As for Empower, have not had any issues with this company they have been pretty good and have some nice investment options.

Trash, crashes constantly, shuts down when I click in menus, asks for , 2 part verification over and over when it never remembers my phone. The website isn't much better so I'm stick with this. I wish I could rate it lower and 1 star. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times in hopes it would get better, it never does. Next time I won't reinstall.

This application can not have quality control. Everytime they add "features" they create bugs. The latest "feature" (bug) is when you scroll down and hit the bottom the app shutsdown. I have nicely reported issues or data that was wrong ( wrong data on a financial app is unbelievable to me) they responded once. They said their new version can give me the data it used to give me easier in an older version; when I pointed out the numbers were completely wrong, they never responded again.

This is the most ridiculous and frustrating experience I've ever had getting into an application. The app forces me to provide all of my personal information and has to search for my account every time I try to login. Additionally, it will not allow me to set up my fingerprint to get in. I would switch to another application if i could, but since that is not an option, PLEASE FIX THE LOGIN.

Requires a security code via phone only to access account. So if you work on a computer only without a phone, then the app is useless, or if the phone on file with Empower is long gone, then the app is useless, or if you're traveling around the world and don't have a U.S. number because of sky-high roaming charges, then the app is useless, etc, etc, etc. No email verification option? The app is useless.

Has potential but buggy. I had an Empower account already so didn't have any issues logging in, though their login screen leaves a bit to be desired. Backspace deletes your whole password. Login button covered up by keyboard and enter doesn't submit it. My only other complaint is the only reason I wanted to use the app in the first place, for an easy way to take pictures of receipts. But whenever I try to take a picture or attach an image to the transaction, I get an "Invalid input" error.

Garbage app. I have been unable to login for MONTHS. I have to enter my personal info and get sent a code, only for it tell me my username, which I already know. I have tried many, many times to reset my password - I always get an error message, if it even gives me the option to reset it. Usually it just tells me that I've had a login error and that I get 2 more attempts (repeat the above process). I literally cannot access my account at all. This is beyond infuriating.

For some reason, this app makes the keyboard not respond the way it normally would. You know how when you tap outside the keyboard, it'll go away? Doesn't in this app. The way it makes you choose a date (namely birthdays, that tend to be very far in the past) is incredibly inefficient (just let me type the date! don't make me choose on a calendar!) and then there's the issue that I cannot name my beneficiary in the app due to an error? why have it in the app if it doesn't work?

Confusing dashboard for 401k management. The numbers don't add up, and there are false projections at the top that confuse the important numbers (balance, growth %). There could also be UX improvements to the paycheck allocation. I chose a total $ amount vs. a % of salary, and their system took my entire paycheck (instead of dividing it out per pay period). Not the end of the world, but not a good UX. Such a shame because their sister company Personal Capital is one of my favorite apps.

Awful. I have an account with about $400 in it from a previous employer. I just want to get the balance transferred so that it doesn't all get eaten up by fees. They won't let me do it over the phone or website because I don't have a computer, just a phone. No, I have to download an app (which also requires access to a long-defunct email address.) Neither Fidelity nor Vanguard does this. At least customer service was helpful. Had to sign in three times within one hour.

I can't even get past the first screen. It pops up saying "enrollment" at the top. It says my plan, then says "investing options" which leads me to a set of options that I can not complete. The biggest problem is at the bottom of the enrollment page it says I need to accept the terms or whatever, but the button to accept them is grayed out and I can't tap it. Nothing fixes this. I've read through all of the terms, downloaded them, gone on the website, still can't tap that button.

I am currently having issues logging in when before I had no issues. Same with the site, it shows the loading symbol and took a long time to move on. When it did move on for me to do the 3 step enhanced security, I put the code in that was sent to me and it took a long time for it move on and then when it did move on it said error and to contact a "Participant Services Representative". Very annoying when I'm trying to check my account.

App is horrible. Website isn't much better. Nothing ever works right, can't switch between accounts or see details, constantly getting error messages, half the time I can't even get logged in. They are still using an email address for a company I no longer work for and can't access - every time I log in I update it, and yet when I come back it's the old email again. At least I can see the total balance.

This app is pretty terrible. It won't let me log in half the time. When I do finally get logged in, I can't do much inside the app because it either gives me an error or it refreshes back to the previous screen. For example, if I click download document, it won't download the document it instead, it just goes back to the previous screen when I click on the document.

Glitchy app, It takes forever to open up when you try to log in. It just buffers for a long time, and this is after the new update. Sometimes, it won't even open. You have to try 2 or 3 times before it actually takes you to your account. Then, after a few seconds, you get taken back to the login page, and you have to start over again, or you get an error message. I sure miss Purdential

When first installed the app, it was fine. The past several months, the app doesn't allow you to make withdrawals, you must call Empower. Now the app prevents my phone going into sleep mode, draning my battery. Disabling background & unlimited data didn't resolve it. Had to uninstall the app, will have to reinstall everytime I want to check my account on my phone. VERY disappointed & frustrated with this app!

I wish I could give this 0 stars. Every time I open the app and attempt to log in, i del prompted to verify my identity and get a numeric code to log in. Yet, when i do finally log in, my password does not work and i have to reset it. This happens EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I always change my settings when I finally get to my account, but the very next time i attempt to log in, I have to go through the whole process AGAIN. This app is broken and needs to be fixed ASAP!

Crashes all the time. Needs some work. Update 10/29/2022. Worked for a few months, and now it just sits and loads. Please invest some money into a group that can help fix the app issues. I'm just going to uninstall it now. Web access seems okay. Update as of 4/23/2024 - reinstalled app and still no improvements, slowest app to load, still crashes randomly. Web access is still acceptable. Once the app loads, it is pretty simple to navigate and use.

The most useless app. EVER! The website is just as bad! I am able to login from a desktop but not anything else. It keeps telling me that my, "username or password is incorrect." When I go to change it, I get a verification code, but no option to actually change my password. So I go through the process again and get the "maximum attempts has been exceeded" message. When you call them you can never get through and they're only open certain days and hours. It's super frustrating!
