I use this app to record lap times to review between session and output overlaid lap videos from my gopro footage. It works at a circuit style course where you do lap after lap (use a start/finish gate), and also on an autocross style course where the start and end are different locations (use separate start and end gates). If I mess up the gates or want to adjust split locations, the analysis will update based on track config associated with the session. Very helpful. The raw gopro data embedded on its mp4 files are compatible with RaceChrono Pro, and the import/session creation is simple. If you do outdoor rec karting or amateur autosports and want to own your own data, at least give the free version a go.

I use the app in my circuit race car with an external GPS and it works brilliantly, I do not have a Go Pro camera but have one of these generic ones, video overlay is a breeze after the race day, support for the use of the app is amazing.

Easy to use and we can share all our data with one another. If you forget to set your traps, you just hit start, and go in retroactively and set them. I use with my Racebox Mini, and Vbox Sport with great results.

Using internal camera, Pressed record for video and it says it is , time counts down but nothing is recorded, gutted, was really looking forward to watching my laps back from the day but I have nothing. Without the video I might as well have the free version than waste 17.99 on this. Real shame. If know one helps me then I will probably ask for my money back

Love it but it's really slow to export the video and data. And the interface probably could be cleaned up. I would also like all the data to be pushed down rather than the data be covered up when it's asking for a track or something.

Great app for motorsport, I use it for club events of various kinds, and even for stuff like snowboarding. Works really well with a Garmin GLO Bluetooth GPS. Great support on the forum, and easy to overlay video and export to YouTube, and to analyse different laps to find out where you can improve lap time

The app itself is fine. But I'm not getting hold of anybody for support. I paid for the Pro Package on one of my phones but decided to use a different phone. Downloaded the app on the new phone, signed in, and the app is now requesting me to pay again for pro package? Why? Being desperate, I decided to pay again just to get it working on the new phone. App asks to load my card details, save it....and nothing else. No payment can be made? Not a happy customer currently

An excellent platform for data acquisition that is widely compatible with tons of devices. The UI is in a league of its own with fantastic displays for data traces, track position, and camera, all time synchronized, allowing for review of the same lap from several angles. Excellent support and reliability.

Extremely disappointed. I gave the free app 5 stars. Worked well. I bought this one and it didnt record 1 timed lap today It recorded the session, but left me wondering why. After each session i searched for an answer (its not a gps thing). I beleive its becausr my track is not listed in the ccw direction and will only pick up the direction the arrows show on the map. Just a guess. I couldnt figure out anything else. Oh....the free app did record last track day maybe because it was going CW.

App records 8 laps but says I went 0 miles and has no lap info. Also, shows 4 video files recorded but when u click on it, says "no video available". Plus tons of other bugs that make it a frustrating and useless app. This is REALLY BASIC FUNCTIONALITY THAT JUST DOESN'T WORK. Don't waste ur money. Go with Harry's Lap Timer. Update: I'm sure it works in the right situations and even used to work for me but buggy and now doesn't work with skypro & GoPro. Says it's recording but doesn't.

It used to work, now it doesn't record anything. 20 min on the track, 0 miles and no stats. Too bad it's the only point of the app and that I was stupid enough to pay for it... Edit: I did all that. I chose the track alright and put the phone in a specific case out in the open.

The only application can add an overlay with lap delta. But the export is buggy and unfriendly: Export is very slow and its performance the same on the low and high end smartphones. Export can die unexpectedly from various reasons. If you merge 2 videos together, export will add a picture with a timer for a time elapsed between videos, and you will get 20gb of a static image with a timer. Poor video quality after the export.

Great app. Would love the ability to create some "Math channels" to generate some more useful plots from combined channels, but overall the ability to quickly review data and get real time feedback on track has been great. I would love to know if the app will be getting support for any additional devices anytime soon. • Newer GoPro's (12, 13) • DJI, Insta360 action cams? • Racebox Micro

Videos from my Gopro will not load. I have attempted to contact support several times through their website, email, and the play store with no response. Since I have been unable to use the app at all, I requested a refund, which was promptly denied. I downloaded the free version of Racerender, which is working flawlessly.

Great app, used the free version for a while and decided to buy the pro version to support the amazing work. I do have a small request tho and that is the option for a 60 fps recording mode. Currently its locked to 30 and that is fine but i think we can all agree that 60 fps would be nice to have 😊 (unless its hidden somewhere)

I actually think it's pretty remarkable for the price... might not have some of the tools or functions of a dedicated racecar data-logger/dash set up, but RaceChrono Pro costs about a six pack of beer and is surprisingly detailed when you dig into it (especially with a decent hz external GPS).

Fantastic job done by the author. It just gets better with each update. I don't understand some of the many settings, but it it works great. Easy setting up with OBDII adaptor. I have been using it for the last 7 years. I have managed to get quite a few other people to use this app after showing them mine. Love the ability of importing gopro footage to generate a video with cluster overlay. Easy 10 stars if I could give it. Author very responsive if you need to know something.

Captures data appropriately. The only thing that might improve it would be the ability to export and share multiple sessions; you currently have to select a session, export it, then share it. This is probably not a big deal if you're doing AM/PM sessions on track day, but if you're using it for stage rally and each "session" in the program is a stage, you might end up with 14+ sessions over 2 days....

I created my own data logger hardware including GPS and ECU data feeds, I linked my Go Pro Hero 8 and got video feeds. The app is quite customizable and initially you are going to work through the best setup and learning how to do the video side of things. Once you are past that learning phase it gets a lot easier and its a turn on, connect your camera and go which is great. I'm more technical and part of the fun for me was making my own hardware and configuring it - that side of things is not for everyone - I loved it.

This is the most dependable of all the apps that are available on Android. I have tried them all and I settled on this one. It has the ability to tap into the Can-Bus to get the data there. It can record video up to 4k. It can overlay the data, and you can do some good analysis of your data. The other good thing is that it has good support, and the developer is frequently on the app forum helping, solving problems and/or developing the app.It is well worth it.
