I don't like the new surface. I want my usd account to be independent from my CAD. I preferred the previous version I can't stand the new outfit of this new one. My usd and Cad are completely dealt independently that is the reason why I don't want them fuse. You should create a option to have them independent outlet

Issues with new 2FA system. Constantly removes my decision to sign in VIA PASSCODE. Constantly removes passcode and requires me to enter VIA PASSWORD, which then forces a text to be sent to my phone. This is very frustrating.

Updating review: WS is my main app for a mostly all in one finance app and I like it. Support is also great. However their crypto accounts are a joke. 2% open an close is actually pathetic. It was already bad at 1% but then they raised it. Apparently they dont know about the literal thousands of extremely better crypto exchanges. They are also weak in the US stock area. I only recommend them for cash accounts and CAD stocks. US Stocks or crypto expecially you should absolutely go elsewhere!

They charge 1.5% fees on crypto trading. Like really!? It is Highway roberry. Also they only allow a Max of 5000$ withdrawal per day. Imagine you make a 100,000$ crypto deposit but you are only allow to withdrawal 5000$ / day. Stay away from them. Their customer service is horrible. Sometime you deposit your crypto and they won't allow you to sell them. Stay away from wealthsimple! You will thank me.!

By far my favourite app for investing, but definitely still a few things I would like to see: 1. Limit buy/sell for fractional orders- as it is you can only place fractional orders at market price. 2. Being able to edit orders instead of having to cancel and re-place them 3. A sticky note in each stock where you can keep personal notes 4. MERs listed in descriptions.

They are absolutely beautiful and do an outstanding job. They really do have your best interests in mind. They are very personable, professional, clever and even fun! They genuinely care about you and your long term goals, and it most definitely shows. I actually feel grateful that I found them. Highly recommended 🙂

Not only did it take over 6 months to transfer my investments from CIBC to WealthSimple, only 1000 easy steps.... But they also have such a long hold when you cancel a trade that was on a limited by and then try to repurchase at a different price. Today for example I canceled a trade at 3:47 p.m. and they would not allow me to buy for the rest of the day because they didn't actually put the money back in my account for some reason.

I'm not gonna talk about trailing orders or candlestick charts, but having a market stop order/stop loss is a MUST in a self-directed investment account, so at least add it, please. Thank you! Other than that great platform, I like that they finally added joint accounts this year. Written August 2024

Edit: I still use a Pixel 5 and the experience is much smoother these days. Original Review: This is a good app overall and great for a beginner. I've been using it for over a year now. I have had some bugs but they have been worked out over time. The only reason I'm not rating 5 stars is because this app lags bad sometimes and doesn't always load charts without needing a refresh. I use a pixel 5 so I would expect the experience to be smoother like the other apps on my phone.

For the past few months, the platform has been quite reliable. But today, after purchasing a stock during a rally, w.s decided to not show my holdings and the sell button. It took 18mins to get a hold of somebody that can fix the issue. They had to "resync" my account. But by then, the stock had already reversed on a downtrend. This is a major flaw. Don't take the time to reply to my comment. Do something about it. The rep I spoke to said this isn't the 1st. Lost $$$ cuz of this server issue

It's been good but recently I haven't been able to get into the app it just stays in the loading screen and won't open. Two updates have been downloaded and nothing changes. Could you please fix this. Edit-It is now working, the issue is gone. Thanks

The charts are absolutely trash. I hate the fact I can't just search the options on the mobile app.. I gotta scroll through the alphabet order. Hopefully wealthsimple does a major overhaul.. add trailing stop losses and short term puts... You guys are going to lose a major amount of customers to Robinhood when they finally launch in Canada.. I know that the chart function alone will be enough for me to switch. How are you not investing more in the coding of this app to maintain dominance?

Thanks for including filter for CAD and USD stocks. Could you add price high to low and low to high filter in future updates? Also when I add funds for sometime the performance chart shows I have made profit. And same thing happens when I do withdrawal, it shows that I have made loss for sometime, so if you can fix that it would be great.

The app keeps saying connection issues everytime I try to log in, have to hit the try again between 5 and 20 times before I can get to the login screen. Very frustrating, especially when you are in a rush to sell or buy on a slump or rise. Edit: I can't even load the website now to inform support of the issues, the same thing is still happening with the app. I sat there for 20 mins trying to sign in to the app, hitting try again over a 100 times. Revised to 1 star, might move my money elsewhere

Very basic stock app with poor fill. I can't believe there's no way to even modify an order, you have to cancel the existing order and then place a new one. No way to sell covered calls or anything like that either. The main issue though is the fill. I've watched level one on another broker after putting my order, and it's never going in as even a bid. It doesn't get filled till it gets to ask or even below. Quite unfortunate

best we have in Canada. not perfect but I see them trying to make it better all the time. not for day trading like activity the speed isn't there yet (speed is not always consistent for quick trading).but for buy and hold also learning it's top rate.would give 5stars but it's not 100% perfect yet. need to add watch lists so we can group stocks in categories for ourselves. also options would be nice but I understand how it's can take away form their user friendlyness feels. otherwise great app:)

Terrible app This app is over simplified/under featured, hard to navigate, lacking features and has a useless help system. I was unable to send an email to support unless my question fit a canned solution which it didn't. I am thinking it was a mistake moving money here. Usually there is a desktop web interface that is better than the mobile but it is even worse. Still struggling with doing the most basic things on this app and support response, particularly email is virtually non-existent.

Super slow. Account totals dont always match. I have a balance but can't withdraw. Support is useless. The search function is pointless. If you know exactly what you want to buy, it's pretty easy but if you want to browse and read up on stocks this is not for you. If you need an app for more passive investing this is probably a good option. If you want to know what you're investing in and pick specific stocks go elsewhere. Also, deposits and withdrawals take a week each way.

This has the potential to be a great app. Design is really good, commission free trades are awesome There are things that can be improved: 1) app performance is extremely slow. 2) price data latency is pretty high. 3) stock discovery is hard to do. 4) no analyst ratings are available. 5) no stop loss sells are available as an option.

App is functional, but recently started losing the session and forcing you to login with password and OTP even if you have already enabled it for biometric login. It's as if the app lost all it's data! Also even after waiting for an year there is no way to transfer to RESP from Wealthsimple cash account, so even if you have the money right there you either need to call their support and have them transfer or enterac to another bank and deposit bank to Resp!
