Unfortunately this app not useful for foreigner at all. Some of my friends and i cant make an account and support team didnt responsible for that.

I am trying to sign up to purchase a BTS concert through weverse. It seems there's no English version of this app. How can customers not living in Korea use this to purchase online Korean merchandise? Weverse payment methods are all Korean companies. Making it hard for Global customers.

The app is useless for expats living in korea. It doesn't allow me to register. I contacted kakao customer service chat but they told they cannot do anything and told me to call.

I just wanted to cancel my subscription and the operator says no one can speak English. Kakao is an international company. How come there is no one catering for foreigners? It is so easy to subscribe but so hard to unsubscribe.

Recently my home country way put on a greylist and Kakaopay has taken away its functionality to people from my home country. That means everything has become more laborious, when you call the customer care line, its all in english and does not offer any other languages. You then try and fill out a customer care form which gets sent but no responses.

If you are not Korean, your name will be registered differently with your bank, phone service provider, etc., because different companies do things different ways (surname first/ last, and Roman/ Korean script). Once you've tried registering one version on your name on KakaoPay, and it's been rejected (as is likely because the chance of getting the right one the first time is negligible), you can't change your name, so you cannot use this service.

I seriously don't understand what's stopping Kakao from making its apps (aside from kakaotalk) compatible for use outside of "domestic users" (aka ppl w Korean phone numbers/Korean bank cards). Surely it wouldn't be THAT hard to add like a paypal/foreign card option on their stuff even if they can't make it in English? They'd have so many more users for KakaoPay, Kakaopage, Melon, etc. It's just silly from a business standpoint, and annoying for potential users.

My life in Korea would be so much easier if we could have english version, but unfortunately it's not (so) foreigners friendly. I hope that Kakao would consider to make the app with English version also.

Like all Korean banking apps, a headache to use due to the over-complicated verification methods. Why is there no English version of the app? & why can a foreign credit card not be added? I'm afraid that while Korea is leading the world in markets such as electronics, its tangled banking / PC system is stuck in the 1990s. Disappointed in Kakao Corp. When I first moved to Korea in 2012, I believed Kakao was the future. I now see its many many' limitations and stagnant nature.

Always endless games trying to use these companies. Nope. UNINSTALLED. Couldn't even install because it's all in korean and due to "security policies" I can't even screenshot and translate it into papago to see what I'm doing and there's a list of over a dozen checkable items and I have to select to continue. BAD APP.

I only use this for online transactions while living in Korea. Although lately I've had some technical problems which I needed to call special services. Now I'm being asked to update the app in order to enter the app, which there isn't!

It's works well before. But suddenly the apps starts acting up. It's asking me to do verification again, which I do. I input my ARC credentials, and then get stuck in the face verification untill it's reach the limit then prohibited me to do verification until 24hours after. I didn't edit my ID card photo, and didn't undergo the plastic surgery either even though I am in south Korea. I already repeat the same process this past few days and still doesn't work. I still have some balance left.

Too difficult for foreigners - an overly complicated verification system. *Edit* your response asks me to "please contact the customer service center for accurate verification" - which I have done. Still nothing. Thanks but no thanks. The verification is still pending. Kakao will never be an international company with this level of poor service.

There is a problem with sign up, the worst thing is it says cannot recognize my face, it really hits different. Tried for the last 6 days😢

it says they ameliorated the app for use domestically and abroad by domestic and foreign nationals but it's a lie. I'm home during winter break and attempting to pay rent and tuition before the new semester but absolutely unable to login. The app doesn't even load even though I'm logged in on kakaotalk. Keeps giving me an error code that says something like "일시적인 오류가 발생했습니다/ 연결 상대가 저지 않습니다" type of long message but it's not temporary, it's constantly popping up.
