Popping into street view loads long. Also, you need to zoom in for the blue lines that are street view to show up. There is also a weird dash on the ocean near southeast Asia, that for some reason gives China as claiming the entire ocean on. Seems like land grab to me.

Come on Baidu! You can do better! The map doesn't have the location sharing. That must be a joke. Whoever is in charge and released the international version should feel shamed. Baidu needs to have a gate keeper or some essential review process in place prior to the release of the map. Or Baidu can stop aspiring and pretending to be a top tier international corporation if it considers itself a mainland China bound and framed company.

There is nothing in English. I bought a navigation device and it said to down load this map. Well didn't know I had to do that when I bought the device. Would be nice to have an English option, if we didn't put options for other languages on our things people would at that to their list for one more reason to be haten on the U.S.

Should have an English version for android. No point of using when you can't understand the language. Maps are mostly for tourists and majority only stands English so you should look into this as Google maps are blocked in China.

If you are using a Pixel phone, this app makes GPS non-functional for other apps. If you try to open Strava, or other map programs, you'll receive a message "no GPS signal". Are uninstalling Baidu maps, the GPS is normal again.

This app is completely in Chinese language. Option for English Language is not available. If English language is added then I can give 5 Star but unfortunately now its no use to me since its in Chinese. Further, Apple store has English version of Baidu Map. The developer can update English language in this play store as well. Dear developer, please help and update Baidu Map in English language as well. Myself and people like me who are in China and do not chinese will be really grateful to you 🙂🙂🙂

This is what locals use in China, so it works. However there's no English UI at all, so be prepared to use a second phone to translate the screen.

By far the slowest (RAM-demanding?) app I have ever had on my 3-year-old phone, regardless of the internet configuration/connection. A pity as this is probably the most comprehensively useful map app for China, but it's practically unusable for me.

Vitality useful app in China. Careful: this app is burning battery and memory. All Chinese apps are trying to kill your phone by consuming all possible resources at once and driving foreigners crazy with the amount of useless notifications and permissions. Amazing fact is that chinese people are fine with all this.... :) So I guess we foreigners just have to get used to it, we are guests in China anyway.

Very useful app when you travel to China, tells you which direction to go, which mrt or bus to take, when to get off etc. Google map is not updated there. But you have to know the name of the place in Chinese. Great n helpful app. Saves us lots of trouble

This app could easily be better than 90% of other map apps but No English???? How are foreigners supposed to use it in China? I mean directions can be in English (optional) not locations or street names it's impossible to use without having to learn the most difficult language in the world first. It would get

This map app wants to do everything except map. Pages and pages of other stuff (ads) with a map or 2 in there somewhere. Even the Didi taxi app makes a more useful map application than this thing at times. If you need to map in China and you can read Chinese, I guess this is better than nothing hence the second star

No English mode, fairly faulty GPS in major cities. Needs to be updated to get new locations (doesn't automatically sync with a server). That said, a fairly good way of getting around China. I wish the Didi option linked to the English version of the didi app instead of within the Baidu Maps app.

this app is good but not user friendly. if i need to share my location or specific location to my friends on wechat. Don't know how to deal with that it's too confusing. Even the Chinese characters confused allot. other than this it's good, i use this app or Amap for traveling most of the time. Without these maps it's difficult to travel here in China. you must need to learn to read the map or find locations on the map otherwise you will be lost in this big country. 😁

Baidu Maps is the best resource for navigation in China, Google Maps cannot compare in any way there. I use it to find attractions, navigate, explore cities, and use Baidu's version of Google Street View. However, THE REVIEW SECTION (评论) is not showing up. No other user reviews are displaying despite having the overall score shown.

It's generally a good app . I cant read chinese but I've found this map quite useful. It is really good for those who use public transportation, this map shows the wait time for buses and trains, you can also use it to order food/drink for pickup. I am only downvoting it because since the update , I've not been able to use the app to call a taxi , and I take a taxi twice daily. ☹️

It is *incredibly* slow to load the base map layers and seems inferior to Google Maps in every way. It often can't find things when you paste the name or address in Chinese. Being all in Chinese is fair, but the reason the developers don't translate it to other languages/expand to other regions is because the product could not possibly compete with Google Maps. Install it if you're going to China and use it to find bus routes. That's the only use I've found.
