I've been with Weibo since 2014. But it sucks that whenever I forgot the password (since I've changed my phone 3x for the last 10 years), I had to sign up again, make another new account, and redo everything from the beginning because I never got to receive their email and text to reset my password despite me asking them to many times!!!

I love the app. I love browsing through the "Hot" page and see what's trending on there, but I can't make an account because I don't have a Chinese number. I'd like to have an account for many reasons, but I can't.

My phone broke recently and I need to sign in with a new device. It asks for 6-digit code through message but gives me only 4-number code through a call. I am a 5-year user and now I'm not welcome anymore. I can't either take back my old account or sign up for a new one. Funny

I would love to use this app to it's full potentional by creating an account but unfortunately it does not work for me, it doesn't send me a code or let me create an account via email :( I really wanted to enjoy the artists on weibo.. ❤️

I encounter difficulties when logging out and subsequently logging back in, particularly in obtaining the verification code promptly. It may be beneficial to consider implementing a QR code scanning feature for login purposes, not limited to website access. I am keen on receiving updates regarding my favorite personalities. While the application is performing satisfactorily, the login procedure poses a challenge.🥺

This app is really annoying 😭, I can't register. Despite inputting correct phone number and country code, it giving me "the phone number you entered is not match with the selected country". Why is it like that? Have you guys ban foreign countries from registering?

I am not a Chinese but I would definitely love to be connected with Chinese culture and obviously people. But the whole things are in Chinese language that's why we who don't know Chinese language can't understand anything at all. So, please, can you fix this problem in the next update? Please........

I just wanted to follow my favorite Chinese actors, actresses and so on.** Edited after finally getting logged in!!!! I only wish it were more user-friendly for those who do not speak the Chinese language. I'm considering becoming a member however it's not very easy, the types of payment methods are only Chinese payment methods.

Using weibo for so many years.. first time unable to login app as it say the OTP number is not as per selected country code. Can't even send help because the phone number is not in the correct format? At least tell me what format you want man.. and I just got to know from review I'm not the only one having this issue. The best part is you can use web based version and receive the OTP without issue. What sorcery is this? Might as well ask us uninstall this app

When I changed my language settings to English, I expected that some things would be in English (eg my profile, following...) but it didn't change if at all it did! I tried checking if there was international setting, but I didn't see any. I don't know if it's supposed to be like that or there's something I'm not doing..? It's kind of stressing, to keep translating manually. I hope you can address this. Thank you😊

I've been on Weibo for almost one year and so far my experience was great, I easily signed in at first and I was able to join and post things on my idol's "Super groups". but like most people's ratings on here, I couldn't log back in easily like how I signed in. I used both my number and email but whenever I want it to send a verification code it wont send any.

App is fully functional and enjoyable. It sucks on registering my account. I have already tried several times to "Get Code" but i didn't get it. I verified many times. But in the end, there is no code. Whenever i press "Resend" there is always some red text showing some outdated version with numbers. Although I downloaded new & up-to-date version twice. Registration SUCKS.

Keep crashing and after clearing cache, unable to obtain verification code to log in eventhough i have a password Update: I had to delete the app, all the apk file in the phone, and reinstall the app from under my web weibo account, which is the older version of this app. I was then able to get a verification code and log back in. Until they fix the new version I am not updating this app.

I had the same troubleshoot like others below. I couldn't log in through the app. I was transferring data to a new phone. I finally figured out how to sign in again. Had to do it from a mobile web browser. That's when the verification code will show up. For security purposes I added a google voice number as verification from now on.

Latest update: It's 11/24, I still can't login to Weibo. Although the app had been deleted, cleared and cleaned by using CCleaner, I still get the promoted error as I exceeded the daily verification. Yet, I just clicked to get the code. 11/17 After updated to the latest version, I can't log into my account at all! Great job Sina Weibo! 10/12/2020 Alright, I've having issues with login, Super topic for nearly 2 months! Left messages to the customer service, no one seems to care to answer.

I cannot reasonably give this app more than one star. Sounds like a decent app, but is impossible for non chinese users to get into. You use the recommended option. Too many attempts (0 attempts previously). Go to the only other one non chinese users can. Redirects you to a different account creation screen. Then, it says that it hasn't been created yet and puts you at the start again. I cannot give an app that doesn't work any stars, regardless of how it's intended to work.

The app itself is perfectly functional to browse weibo, but as others have mentioned, registering an account feels god awful. Getting the verification code from text proved impossible, either from the website or the app after several tries. What eventually worked was after pressing "get code", there was some red text under with some blue text "voice". Clicked on "voice" and there was a pop-up and got a toll-free call that recited my code for me. Hope this helps someone lol.
