I use it everyday several times a day and it's great. Very accurate for my location. It keeps me up on current happening to the extent of some days running my battery down but it's worth it. Keep up the good work and THANK YOU!!! P.S. ads are better but wish I could block them totally. I really feel they the ads play a big part in using battery but I'm not tech. smart so I really don't know,

widgets don't work for me anymore. and I'm assuming by the secondary question that pops up after this you guys are already working on fixing the widget issue. never mind then I will give you a five star instead of a three star because I've been using this app since my first Android phone ages ago. so knowing that you guys are at least working on fixing the problem I can give you the five-star rating that you've always deserved. but the widget still don't work after the update

I usually don't like having certain apps forced onto my phone, but this is one I would actually recommend using. It used to suck but it's been vastly improved over the past couple years. No longer spams you with full screen ads or irrelevant news about weather in other locations, you can turn all that off in the notifications now. Still a bit laggy on budget devices but much better than before.

An excellent weather app with one flaw. I wish I could remove the "Weather Shorts" section. Its just in the way of an otherwise efficient, yet detailed report. Please add the ability to turn off and rearrange the order of the sections. I'd happily pay for a premium version with those features. ETA: Also, stop pestering me to enable location permission. I've entered the locations I want weather for. The app doesn't need to gps-track me.

Accuracy of all forecasts has gotten progressively worse. I got the paid version. Nothing but regret now. This app has become unusable. Forecasts have been very inaccurate for a long time. Local time and day have been wrong in the hourly, daily, and radar sections. And now I feel stuck because I paid for this app that was great at one time, but garbage now. I keep hoping they'll fix it, but they keep making it worse.

Gives me the weather info I need, at the detail level I want, for any location I desire (I travel regularly), with clear easy-to-read visuals (no annoying non-functional frills) and easy-to-use navigation. I happily rely on it daily. My only quibble is that, when I travel, the app doesn't always switch to "current location" automatically (even though I believe I have that function enabled); often I must tap "current location" manually. But that's a very minor flaw.

App came pre-installed on my Motorola phone. Used it for 2.5 yrs. I liked its appearance and functionality - or really wanted to. The deal-breakers: 1) the constant freezing-up (it now FINALLY works more often than not, thanks to debugging) and 2) it uses up a FULL 25% of my battery power, even when not in active use! Sorry, but to put up with this much trouble and battery usage from an app, it'd have to be something I use all the time. Uninstalling as soon as I can find a suitable replacement.

What an app.... Not really it's horrible it doesn't connect half the time. It gives notifications from things in different states. Why? No clue live in Co don't care what the weather is NYC. Changed andnupdated all settings, but still same thing over and over. On top of it's being slow not connecting they added forced ads. Their excuse is constantly check your data WiFi.... Its the app and those who develop and run it. They just won't accept it. Plus their tech team are trash for responding.

The obnoxious full-screen ads are back; louder, dumber and longer than ever! 😾 I installed this years ago, just for the widgets, but for ages those haven't updated the location as I travel. So it's definitely time to uninstall this and find a better app, which doesn't wake my partner at 6am if I accidentally tap on a notification! I'm sure they've put a lot of work into this one, but they need a smarter product manager, one in touch enough to not think the way to get subs is to be annoying!

Update (June 6, 2024): Uninstalled I'm giving this three stars because there is no way to permanently disable being asked to enable weather alerts. I get weather alerts elsewhere and don't want them from 1weather, however I'm constantly nagged to enable alerts with no way of turning this off. Additionally, when I click on "daily" weather alerts it takes me "hourly" weather report. I have to click on "daily" a second time to get to the actual report I want. May uninstall this app... Again.

Works great. Simple. Accurate. This app has weather "news" and videos. BUT, they're after the weather info. Both Weatherbug and Weather Channel, paid versions, choose to put this in front of, or in the middle of the weather. I don't mind those items, but I want weather, not "weather stories" . 1weather does this correctly. Thank you.

Version 8.1.1, the last update April 2024, added 2 permissions. One is to run location in the background. It's No matter if your 'Location is OFF' and, you have set 'No Background activity'. I'm getting to the point where I'll have to find other apps that are not so intrusive or secretive. I've never used this app, and I don't think I will. Some permissions are necessary but almost every program has permissions that undermine our privacy and rights. Just my opinion.

This used to be the best weather app up until a year or so ago. It was more accurate than the TV weather. But for at least the past year, it hasn't been as accurate as it used to be. And most recently, it has a lot of glitches! It keeps crashing after an ad plays, or sometimes crashes in the middle of checking the weekly forecast or the radar. I can't delete it from my phone because it came with it (so therefore I also can't redownload it if there's a newer version).

It was a great app, had the weather on my home screen with the widget and it was always easy to see the weather for the day. But a month or so ago the widget stopped updating the information after a couple hours, telling me to open the app to update instead. Then it started asking for precise location data to be "more accurate". It has my town already, unless it's magical and can predict the weather over my house I don't see a reason for this other then to sell my location data. Annoying.

Why? Do you have to have ADS on a weather app? What is even the point? All people do is look at the weather and they want to know what the weather is. I do like using a weather app. But not when there is too many ADS. I click on one thing and an ad pops up and there's no skip on it. Also, the ADS that pop-up at the bottom of the screen. It covers certain things. I report the ADS for blocking the stuff and another one pops up. I know that you have to make money on.There's No need for ADS. Sad.

Honestly, the app was baked in on my phone at the time of purchase,and I find it really useful for weather alerts, but the banner ads on that particular part of the app need to go or be moved to a different spot on that page. I understand this is a "free" service, but with how intrusive they are, the information is so obscured that it's difficult to read a weather alert for something potentially life-threatening. EDIT: Thank you for the response, information is really clear now!

It's a good weather app. However it has a particular technical issue. For some unfathomable reason, it associates itself with a secondary email account. I would like to pay for the non ad version. But as of right now, there no way to correct the email for correct payment method. Or guarantee it won't happen again, I looked into this issue, and someone else had this 2 years ago, with no resolution

I normally use the Weather Channel App. Had to get a replacement phone and this 1Weather App was already on the phone. I've been using it for several months. I was just getting tired of all the ads so I clicked on the Remove Ads section in the menu. It said I could be Ad-Free Forever for $4. I was charged $4.99 plus tax. I used a $0.50 discount. I just looked at what I was charged. My total charged was $5.40. Not that it's a big amount difference, I just don't like being lied to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It used to be fine, but for the last few months the forecast has been insanely wrong. Like 90% chance of rain, high of 64° when every other site/model shows 5% chance and high of 82°. My location was correct, so I think something in the model is broken. I like the layout, but it should probably be able to do the most basic thing of...showing me the weather.

works!! sometimes. the weather was accurate for maybe about a week and now it's just doing its own thing. it's mid 80's as I'm typing this and not a cloud in the sky, but 1Weather says it's raining! haha right. this issue doesn't get fixed even with the precise location on. Another issue I've been having is that the ad's and radar will more often than not, crash the app. zoom too far out? crash. move it too much? crash. try to pause it? crash. it's just a little ridiculous to be honest.
