It never plays! This app used to work fine but it's terrible now. It needs an update badly! I always send the report when I get the app error message but I guess no one is looking into them. Update.....downloaded again to try and watch live TV. App still sucks 5 years later. I get "error occurred" everytime.....same thing even if I try to to watch online through a web browser.... ridiculous considering ABC is owned by Disney. They have plenty of money to ensure thier platforms work properly

I love that I can watch shows I have missed. I hate that it takes 2 hours to watch 45 minutes of show because the app freezes, crashes or is showing one of the 50 ads it shows during the one episode. Edit: 3 years later and the app is still just as crappy. I have spent 40 minutes trying to watch the last 15 minutes of an episode and I still have not been able to view the last 2 minutes. I have never used an app that sucked this much.

The number and frequency of ads in between segments of the view and other programs is sometimes 2 to 3 times the number . No one is obviously monitoring this and it becomes extremely painful to try to watch something. This should be fixed! This app is still absolutely one of the worst apps for streaming. Still too many commercials, now sometimes the ads are completely blacked out, the app forgets who you are and throws you off in the middle of streaming something. Its outrageous! Do something!

App works pretty well but it does not keep where we left off on a show. Probably the most annoying thing is there are way too many commercials. Also when I turn down the volume on a show or commercials (mostly this) the volume slowly increases and that should not happen. If I turn it down its because I want it down and it should not get louder unless I want it. Fix this!

Great shows and the app works well most of the time, but the back up/rewind button has some bugs. Sometimes it will back up just a few seconds, other times it will back up two or three entire sections with no way to fast forward other than to try and drag along the scrub bar (which most times doesn't work)... Its definitely frustrating.

Downloaded and installed this app easily enough. You need cable subscription to watch live episodes. I don't, but the advertising leads us to believe you can stream live free. Then, after much fiddling, was finally able to get the cast feature to work with my chromecast only to find the video quality is awful. ABC should be able to do better. Netflix and Pluto, as well as other apps work fine for me. ABC and NBC's Peacock need lots of work to compete.

Many glitches and bugs. My List doesn't work. It doesn't accurately keep up with where you left off. When you pause, it starts back several minutes behind where you paused it. Skipping ahead or rewinding with sliding your finger does not work properly at all. Commercials come on way too often. You'd think a long established TV channel could develop a better app for streaming than this.

This app is horrible. When trying to cast via Chromecast, it gets stuck while trying to play ads. Works fine, if you don't want to cast. Even if you watch the ads on your phone, and then try to cast, still no go. Will never bypass the ads. This is a major problem with the app and must be fixed. Tried several times, over the last month. Even tried Uninstalling and reinstalling. No difference. PLEASE FIX YOUR APP. Hasn't been updated since January!!!! Help and online searches, provide no solution

I agree with the other recent reviews. Since the app changed, it does not work right. It will air the narrative program, then when the comercials come on the 6 out of 0 will appear and they do not play and you are not able to close the program(s). When you close the app and reopen it to the programs, it will be ahead of where it was previously. I do clear out the history on the site, as well as the app cache on the phone and computer. It will start to play right, then return to doing the same.

The ads cause the episode you're watching & the app to sieze and freeze. Making it impossible to watch an episode without having to close and restart the app multiple times. I don't mind ads... but when playing ads make the app buggy, and prevent being able to watch episodes, its very annoying and wastes a lot of time. It takes more than double the time of the actual video to actually be able to watch the whole episode because of the glitchy ads that make it freeze. An hour to watch a 23 min episode is ridiculous! If the app was working like it should, I'd say its great and very useful. I hope they can fix this.

I want to watch TV shows. It starts out playing fine. Then freezes during the commercial breaks. I don't mind the commercial breaks as long as they play through and continue the program. Ugh! 😡 So frustrating! I know the problem is not on my end as my other apps function fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing changes. Please fix.

app doesnt work seems like a coding issue. after signing into a tv provder and starting a full episode of a tv show I get an error that something went wrong with the live stream. i have tried multiple things including reinstalling with no luck. Such a shame. Of course I had to uninstall that app. what I found interesting is even though the error popped up you could hear the episode playing then when I hit the "X" you can see the TV show for a split second then it goes back to the main page.

The commercials are ridiculous in this app. While I'm grateful to be able to watch a few shows, SO much time gets eaten up with the commercials. One plays before you can watch even a second of anything. Then a set nearly 3 min long after a short intro scene, 4 more sets throughout the show, 3 min again at the end (if you don't realize you're at the end and back out first). Then if you leave the app and come back, you guessed it, more commercials. So annoying! And don't get me started on the new intro/startup visuals. They make me dizzy.

Latest update is terrible. The "loading" graphics are jarring and actually give me a headache... It doesn't help that the new version takes FOREVER to load. Then it crashes at least twice during each hour. Update: continues to crash several times an hour, most often during commercial breaks so we have to rewatch the whole set. I like the ABC dramas, but giving up on them because it isn't worth the hassle.

app kinda sucks. you really can't get to a specific part of a show as easily as other apps. I'll try to go 6 minutes ahead, the ads will play, and when it finally restarts it's not even close to where you dragged it. it's so annoying to have to rewatch stuff. also, they play the same 5 ads in rotation. I've memorized them all at this point....please get more ads.

Terrible experience. The app asks you to go to a website to enter a code, the website rejects the code, and you're stuck in a never-ending loop of horrible software development with no way to solve the problem. I'm glad Netflix and all these other streaming platforms are making old media obsolete. They just can't compete. The faster ABC dies, the better for the content-consuming public.

This app used to be pretty reliable. Since it's update over a month(9/12/21) ago it crashes so often. Freezing mid-show. And, if you are epileptic, do NOT watch the load screen for this app. Big red flashing lights. That is the first thing they should fix. Especially when trying to watch news early morning, the flashing gives me a headache. TV shows are great. Movies are great. Selection is great. Its the freezing mid movie, missing 1/4 of a TV show, and the flashing red lights.

The free shows are a great part of the app. There are constant commercials though. When it doesn't save my place and I have to jump around to find it sitting through numerous commercial blocks. The video also doesn't cast to my screen all the time. I either see the image and no sound or hear the sound without the image. I don't have this issue with any other casting app.

Garbage. Even after signing in using my cable account. Playback will sometimes freeze, and when it does and I try to resume it jumps straight into an ad. And I'm not talking about at the designated ad spots. You can see where those are supposed to be on the app. Also, hope you don't miss anything and want to go back. Hitting the 10 second rewind button is like playing roulette. Maybe it jumps back, maybe it jumps forward. Extremely frustrating viewing experience.

Need to fix the auto rotate because the slightest movement will have you going back and forth flipping your phone like an idiot. Very frustrating. About to get motion sickness over here, man. Please fix that. And is there any way (like most other apps) to just watch the content and not watch it within a "TV guide" format? Just want the regular screen, not half of it while it's flipping back and forth, smh
