Conversations with your doctor are full of meaningful moments — key pieces of advice about how to best manage your care. But if you’re like most people, the details can fall through the cracks. That’s where Abridge comes in — to be a second pair of ears so you can better understand and follow through with your care.
Abridge helps you stay on top of your health, whether you’re at a routine appointment, specialist visit, or annual exam. Simply record the conversation to get started. When your appointment is over, Abridge creates an interactive transcript of the medical parts of your conversation so you can quickly skip to any parts you may want to revisit. Abridge uses computers to transcribe the medical parts of the conversation, so nobody reads or hears the conversation but you.

This is an amazing application. In this age of COVID, doctors are not allowing non-patients into the building, let alone the exam room. I can be there with my wife virtually and hear not get everything second hand. Additionally, I can record my doctor visit so I can look up terms they use and won't forget the important parts of the conversation. Love this app!

Absolutely worth the download. This app has been the real life saver when it comes to keeping track of what was discussed at doctor appointments. The transcript that gets generated is done by computers so no human hears your personal business and it makes finding your place in a recording so easy.

Recently diagnosed with HCC Liver cancer, and all the Dr. Appointments, I looked for an app that I could record long sessions. I think I put in "medical terminology " in the search and it came up with Abridge! I was amazed the first time I used it for the tumor board, then the transplant team. This App will highlight medical terminology, making it easy for searching the words Dr.s say that we don't understand. I started with looking for a voice recorder and found an actual medical term toolbox.

Abridge is an excellent way of keeping track of healthcare! It's especially useful if your stressed and feel overwhelmed with a frightening diagnosis. There's so much information presented to you. Once you leave the doctor's office, you think, what did he say?? Plus, you can share it with family, when seeking a second opinion, or if there's a legal issue. I shared my last appointment with my daughters. They heard things I totally missed! I highly recommend this app!

I love using Abridge to record my doctors appointments. It is so useful to have a transcription of important moments from the conversation with my doctor to refer back to, in case I missed something the 1st time. Also glad that you have the ability to share them! My family & I can share important appointments so we are all on the same page, even if we aren't in the same state. I'm thrilled to have an app designed for patients where I know my data is safe. Highly recommend!

This App is fantastic and I absolutely love it. It has taken the anxiety out of my medical/specialist appointments. This App is ideal for everyone especially if you have complex medical issues, where appointments can be overwhelming especially if you by yourself. Now you always have a copy of this information. Julia from customer service is lovely and has gone above and beyond to help me with any issues I had. I'm so grateful for her help. I highly recommend this App. It's brilliant.

Fantastic app I don't have to focus so much on remembering everything I can be present in the moment in the appointment. It also holds providers accountable which was something I didn't realize would be a benefit until there were several errors made and I look back at the recording I had from the appointment proving that it was their errors made. This is my life and my health this is not a paycheck to me

I am going to recommend your application to both of my adult children. Haven't used it yet-fabulous idea. Best of luck! Way to thinking up something no one has yet, but once they do, they won't be able to live without it! Cue the applause; I was playing 8ball Pool, this was an advertisement. I immediately hit install. I never do that. No brainer.

Brilliant & simple app. I am the healthcare advocate for all the people & pets in our family, so this app is invaluable to me. It enables users to be better advocates for their own care. All the unfamiliar terms and instructions used during an appointment can be reviewed later for better understanding, compliance & likely improved outcomes. Also, this app could save healthcare providers hours of time on patient call backs to repeat or clarify information. Thank you!!!

Absolutely fails to transcribe normal conversational speech. You're better off just using your phone's standard voice recorder. To clarify: it picked up some medical terms but the transcribed text was gibberish. You'd have to be speaking unnaturally slowly and clearly for this to work (eg. like the demo recording they provide).

I thought this app was great. However, I now find there appears to be no way to print out the transcript. I "shared" a recording and transcript to my 2nd email address (it would not allow me to send to my "registered" email). Opening the message, it gives me a picture of an envelope (non-clickable)...useless. This app should be able to print the transcript or save the recording to an mp3 file. I now have to transcribe this into something I can discuss with consulting doctors.

*udate* After speaking with Julia at Abridge, we've come to learn that after a minute of the screen turning off, Android devices will stop recording audio. That would explain why my audio was missing. Julia and her team were so helpful in explaining this to me. So just a heads up if you're using Android with this app. Keep your screen turned on. Despite that little hiccup, this really is a fantastic app!

This app makes medical appointments much less stressful. I love the key concepts and the definitions. Also, their customer service is great. I was having issues with the phone number for recording calls and they got back to me really quickly, then emailed me again to let me know that the issue had been fixed. I have recommended this app to all my doctors.

This app is a game 👏changer 👏 i have anxiety that leads me to ramble a lot and absorb little so the transcribings are amazing and help me remember what was discussed. I also love the definitions for medical terms. Top Tier App. Love it. My only critique is sometimes the transcribings are a liiiiittle bit off, but the audio is clear and can be edited easily. Still love it.

Really wanted to like this, but it had some bugs I love this idea! As someone with chronic illnesses, and bad working memory, I wish I had something like this years ago! But 90% of the time I had this up on my phone, it said I wasn't connected to the internet. (I was) So I wasn't able to do half the things. You can't add any of your providers, or meds without internet access. You CAN do recordings when not on data though. Needed the space on my phone, so I deleted it. Trying on my iPad next.

Easier to download recorder app ~ Abridge didn't work for me. Too many glitches when your ready to record & have it all set up a pressed button ~ it wasn't difficult, I haven't really had any notifications? When opened I do not like the fact adds pop up and you have to close it out! It will not let you just press a button to use. All set up in the Doctors office & ads appear it doesn't record!

The concept of this app is really cool and I love many of the features, but it has issues that make it unusable. It has paused itself multiple times unexpectedly, there are gaps in the conversations for some reason (this makes the audio unusable for my needs as it looks edited), I can't share the audio itself (or snippets) as an mp3, and other people can't listen or view unless they have Abridge accounts

Not sure why my previous review was deleted. Anyway, I wrote that I thought this app wouldn't work well. That it would crash, not connect, not open, freeze, not pick up voices. Used it for the first time yesterday and it worked very well. Picked up voices from across the room even with my coat over my phone. This is great! My husband is Deaf and can now use this and I can interpret what the doctor said when he gets home! BTW I downloaded this on his phone and he didn't get the code. Email?

I hardly ever give reviews as it's just not my thing, but I had to do it for this app. It runs, so we'll, and yes, there are some minor glitches in reading of the text, but the audio is perfect! Having medical terminology explain is amazing. I have used it with all my doctors, and I have told family and friends how great this app is in reviewing your appointments and how it allows you share it with family or a friend so they too can keep abreast of your health. Well done!
