Simple Accounting Bookkeeping has been designed for small businesses to manage their complete accounting needs with limited or no knowledge of underlying accounting principles. You can send across invoices, record purchases, manage your expenses, track your payable and receivables. App is free to try for 30 days, after which you can purchase subscription for unlimited transactions
INPUT TAXES : The app supports tracking input credits for VAT / GST etc. on your purchases and offsetting the same on taxes payable against your Sales.
INVENTORY MANAGEMENT : If you buy/sell physical products You can enable inventory tracking for them. Your inventory levels for each product will be automatically reduced on Sale and increased on Purchases. Profit and Loss module would keep track of "Cost of Goods Sold" whenever you make a Sale and calculate your profits accordingly.
It is useful for businesses dealing in services as well as physical products.
Dashboard
The app contains an Easy-to-use Dashboard which features
- Sales / Purchases this month
- Payments Received / Paid this month
- Expenses incurred this month
- Profits earned this month with summary calculation
- Net Payables/ Receivables outstanding
- Current balances in Bank Account and Cash Account
Sales and Purchases
- Create multiple Sales / Purchase Accounts to classify your Sales/Purchase ( by region, product vertical etc.)
- Record a sale / Purchase with or without creating an invoice ( inventory will not be affected if itemised details are not entered)
- Multiple Template options for sending invoices
- Add Logo and Signature to your invoice
- Set Due Dates on Invoice
Payments
- Record your payment transactions when you Make / Receive payments
- Keep track of your payables and receivables
- Payment transactions automatically update your bank / cash balance
- Accept partial payments against an invoice
- Accept payments as Advances even when you have not issued any invoices
Taxes
- Designed for multiple tax systems such as VAT, GST , Sales Tax etc
- Identify Taxes paid on purchase for which you receive input credit ( as in VAT system or GST system)
- Offset these input credits against taxes collected on Sale of Goods
- The app will show you Net Tax Payable as difference of Input Credits and Tax on Sales and record the payment of the same.
Expenses
- Record expenses incurred in cash or as credit
- Petty Cash expenses can be quickly recorded without referring a supplier
- Record payments for expenses incurred on credit
- Dashboard helps you keep track your major expenses
Backup and Restore
- Link your Dropbox account to the app & Backup your data on Dropbox/ Google Drive
Ledger and journal Entries
- View complete ledger of any account - Client , Supplier, Expenses, Cash, Bank, Taxes etc
- Complex transactions can be recorded as simple journal entries using double entry accounting principles ( Credit and Debit)

The app is just perfect, can't be more happy with it. Yet there are a few bugs/areas of improvement that would be worth fixing: 1. When opening an existing purchase in Purchase List for Edit, the account shown in "Record Purchase In" isn't the one that was used for creating the invoice, but the first one from the list of Purchase accounts 2. Not possible to delete a Customer/Supplier in "Show Customer/Supplier List" even if there is no transactions, like it's possible for Products/Services

Does help in keeping track of inventory, sales and all other records relevant to a business. I had struggles using it at first but is such a simple and definite useful tool. Keeps records of all suppliers, customers, cash at bank and generates really useful reports. Definitely worthy a trial if you are looking for a simple accounting/ book keeping software. Lastly, I haven't seen ads yet or they are very minimal.

Very user friendly app. More features than I need for my use but very nice app. It's wonderful to have financial info at my fingertips (on my phone) during meetings. Invoices are customizable. I've tried many accounting apps... this is by far the easiest to learn and use and a great price. Would prefer to buy it, but yearly subscription is affordable.

I'm very impressed in this app. So simple and easy to use. Comes in handy. I can even print my own invoices. Just a suggestion though, can we have a default setting for Header, Footer and Terms & Conditions to have them shown in invoices without having to type or click 'add' in each Sales Receipt/Record one by one? There is a default setting to show them in invoices but you still need to type (header/footer) and click 'Add' (T&C) in each transaction. Something to improve on. 😊

This is great accounting software for small business and start ups. One thing I didn't find is To make a product which when made will by default uses up inventory set for it and it will have stock so that I know how much is made and how much sold of is left in stock. Similarly for service, a service which will use up certain stock if it is sold. I hope this will be integrated. Thank you

Please include adjustment for cash discount at the time of making payments mapped to invoices. Otherwise I have to make separate journal entry for cash discount and still invoice shows as partial paid. Please do something regarding this.

I don't understand why can't they add GST option under products? Bill b banao aur manually GST bhi entry Karo? In this day and age an outdated app, regret buying it.

I have to use it for personal balance sheet & I won't be doing any transactions .. I Will just record receipt and expenses.. Will I have to buy plan after 30 days?

No doubt its very easy and complete accounting solution. I am very happy to use this software. Only one issue is that u can not add branches. This is excellent for single branch or personal accounting but not good for companies having mutiple branches.

It is a very good app for book keeping. I will suggest only two upgrades. 1. Please enable more companies. As we normally are managing 2 or more companies at a time. 2. Plz add option to attach photo in bank recipt or bank payment to scan bank voucher for record.

If you want to make sure your personal income expenses and assets are well tracked, this is the best app you can ask for. No in app purchases or ads, very simple app. Can be customized to your liking

This is the first time I'll rate an app. I've been using this app for almost 4-5years I think, from trial to subscribing. I just seen the new update on Simple Accounting App can I just say that this is the best update and feature of this app - the POS Mode very helpful in my business. Very helpful in my business and to top it all this is the most affordable accounting app here and there very responsive and helpful whenever I have a concern. Good job guys!!

I am very happy to have this app. Really, looked for many, but not satisfied with all utilities and facilities available inside. But in this app, the monthly rate is also very nominal and the features available inside is superb. You can generate bills, reports, estimates, accounting, keep customer details, supplier details and even send them at ease in just a click. Really, a great accounting app with majestic features. Just you need to feed the purchase and sale,rest all is done for you.

So far the app works great. I am still using the trial mode. It works fine. I practiced a lot to see what works and doesn't. Entered test transactions, journal entries, stock and more. Just to see how things work. To be honest this app is way better to work in after I understood the concept (of accounting). The reporting is also great. Would be nice if recurring expenses was available to enter. I will be back after the trial period.

Perfect for my extremely small business considering my bookkeeping skill level. Does everything I used to use several apps to do (estimates, invoices, bookkeeping, customer/material database), and there's really nothing I need it to do that it doesn't. Truthfully the one and only thing I wish I could have it do is show me a report on my income versus expenses (all I can find is sales versus expenses)... but that might just be me doing something wrong.

Great app for our small business. It keeps up with our sells and expenses for free!!! I also like how it gives a report to highlight your stats and even show your top paying customers. Update: I didn't realize the app costs money and didn't know it was a trial at the time. Still like the app and kept it., But they needed to be more transparent at the beginning. Lowered it one star because of that.

I love this app! I used to use QuickBooks but they wanted so much money for almost the service this app provides. I love that I can use it on my desktop as well. Don't use spreadsheets or don't know how... They do it for you. If you have a small business and dont need the payroll is the way to go. It's so much cheaper and let's you do almost everything that QuickBooks does at a fraction of the cost. 100% recommend to small business owners that are just starting out.
