This is a great app for development on android. It is a very portable solution, although I'm not exactly that big into programming but I mess around on it when I don't have access to my laptop. One thing I would add is support for the cursor moving when sliding the space bar on a soft keyboard, like Gboard. If the feature is implemented, I haven't figured out how to use it. Thanks for the great app though

Good for coding web design, but the bad part is the "Android/data & obb" directory is restricted/not accessable, even QuickEdit is better than this...

Great app, I'll recommend it But I still have some unsolved issues, After adding images to my code it doesn't show up when I view it on the web but rather always shows the"alt",pls look into that aspect

I would say definitely this is an amazing app. I'm using it as an alternative of vs code since my laptop was damaged. Everything including plugins and all the features are great. Thank YOU!

Works great. Only problem I faced was when using termux storage, the files won't update automatically, I have to re launch the app.

okay i found the problem, it only has "allow media access" and it doesn't have permission option to allow all files access (which most apps seem to have) and that's why i couldn't open folders from weird locations. but it works with termux files (i still can't open its folder) but that's fine, there's a lot of benefits for a small problem when using acode. the formatting is slightly broke for self closed html tags like img with /> messes it up

This app is amazing. Thank you developers. As a web developer, it has always been important to me to have a good code editor. On a PC, I use Brackets, but I have always been looking for a way to edit code on my phone. This app has everything I needed, from the ability to preview documents from within the app, to code completion. Keep up the good work.

Awesome, I don't code, but this is great for my outlines. The indent features, file tabs, toolbar features, autocomplete and editor themes are great! And so far ads haven't been the least bit intrusive. Plus it's FOSS/open-source, definitely support if you can! As for improvments, I'd definitely like the ability to hide indent lines, as well as an option to auto-capitalize the start of each line or word. Thanks for the app!

I too am having the "no save" issue. LineageOS 18.1, rooted with GApps. Too bad. Great app, but nearly useless if I can't save. ***UPDATE: The save problem seems to have gone away. Not sure why.. So I'm changing my rating. Only problem now seems to be requiring JS and HTML in same folder in order to "play" the HTML... Once again, great app.

Without a doubt the best free mobile code editor I've ever used! Absolutely no ads whatsoever. Setting to auto-check syntax errors. Live code completion suggestions that are relevant. And also a really decent amount of theme settings. No limits at all with the free version. HTML, CSS and JavaScript all function flawlessly! Really don't have anything negative at all to say about this app. Plan on getting the paid version soon to support the devs, especially since this project is open source.

Thanks for providing a free version because I was debating trying this, I do alot of work on my phone because it's so convenient. I was happy to see it does indeed highlight dart syntax, and the console was really handy to use for sorting some data before hard coding it in. My favorite thing is that it is lightweight and very responsive, although I wish I could scroll through without the keyboard popping up. My first feature request would be simple line bookmarks. Thanks, I like it enough to buy

It is so nice to have a feature rich editor. Acode is the best that I have found. It does not nag, or steal screen area for adds. It does limit theme customizations on the free version, which is not a show stopper. When testing a new app, using all the functions and features is important. Acode lets you in to test it all. It is a fantastic peice of work. I remember writing C code in Wordstar2, exporting it to text, then compiling, what a headache! If lhad Acode then...

Great code editor, and I was impressed at how well the JS/HTML preview works. Sometimes it's nice to be able to review a codebase and make small changes when away from my main PC. I can recommend Syncthing-fork to connect the two. Recently I've been having this problem where files can't be saved or loaded at all. I can see folders in the file hierarchy, but no files. I don't think I messed up file permissions. The result is that I haven't used this program in a while. Awaiting an update.

This has been a godsend since my laptop recently got ruined. The UI is beautiful, highlighting is great. By far the best mobile coding app. It has the ability to utilize a keyboard and mouse to its full extent, which many apps do not support (click and drag highlighting, arrow keys move direction of cursor, etc). I would enjoy an SFTP feature as I am using another app for that function. Finding the folder in the SFTP app then switching to the browser is tedius. Thank you for this wonderful app!

Thanks Developer. I have used this App for a few years now and it has been great from day one. However, recently I noticed a behavior detrimental to user experience. I run my web app using Chrome as the viewer, and once I switch from Chrome back to Acode, my App opens again on a new page. That didn't happened before. I have not been able to find any setting on Chrome or Acode to help fix this issue. It's really annoying. Any suggestions?

Edit: I don't see anything related to files in the update description. I tried out different versions from Telegram and settled with 1.7.0.254. It's the most recent version that doesn't give me any errors. Old review: Update ruined it. All my folders are gone from active files. When I try to add them back a full screen ad plays (which I don't mind) and after the ad finishes it takes me back to the empty active files section. Tried it 10+ times didn't work.

IT'S TOTALLY WORTH IT! Tried pro & had an issue. Requested & received refund. Within that time the Developer had responded to my issue, pushed a fix & released an update! So I re-purchased the pro version again. 😁 Just the settings alone are worth paying this developer for their time. I don't code, but I can't stand browsing source or logs without syntax highlighting. Now I never have to remote into my desktop to view data! Pay for this, you won't be sorry.

This is the one! So much time spent using text editors over the years and trying to find the perfect one for Android, but finally I've done it! It's Acode! Beautiful UI, all the most common Editor color schemes for syntax highlighting (Monokai, Solarized, Darcula, etc.), huge number of settings for tweaking the editing experience, open source version available on F-Droid.) Unfortunately, it doesn't support generic git without Github. Given there's clearly a git client in there, let me use it!
