I am writing this review to help people with chromebook issue. I spent a good amount of time attempting to fix the issue where the screen is blank minus half of a box on my nieces laptop. After contacting support and beinging told chromebooks are not support I started tinkering. The workaround fix I found is to rotate the chromebook screen to be in portrait mode, open app, rotate back to landscape, close app. After this the app started behaving correctly again. Hope this helps someone.

Yes this is more of a game and doesn't work on Chromebooks or Kindle but they clearly state system requirements on their website!The content has a lot of overlap at the lower level with ABC mouse so I'd say this begins at kindergarten level and covers all of elementary. We love the gaming aspect and the broad spectrum of information presented in different activities. Even my 2yr old is learning from this! The quests can get a bit distracting so you may need to monitor younger ones.

While this game has some great learning opportunities, it also has disproportionately more non-educational tasks. Our 7YO (lvl 10) spends way more time on the non-educational tasks, running around, collecting items, shopping, playing tag, etc., than the learning opportunities. Please make the learning tasks the star of the quests and challenges and provide a way to limit non-educational tasks. TY!

The past update has been full of bugs and crashes. Program freezes when our son loads his character who is in his house.. It will not let him into the neighborhood on PC or Android. They know there is an error but cant fix it. In the mean time our boy is frustrated and sad. Kinda given up on Adventure Academy. UPDATE: it's been almost a month and our son still can't use his character. No fix yet. Just promises. We are pulling the plug.

Horrible. This was supposed to be a free trial. I was interested in giving my kindergartener some extra fun learning, but I cant even access the app and free trial without agreeing to be billed $60! Update: customer service contacted super quickly and made this right. As a single mom, I was initially freaked. I was able to access the menu after going thru the app store for some reason. Once my son is home from school, we will give this a shot!

Downloaded the game as soon as it was officially released and went ahead and signed up for the 6 month subscription, instead of just the free trial. Wish I hadn't. I can't connect to the server unless I use cellular data (WiFi won't allow it to connect). The app used almost 4 GB of data in less than 30 minutes! Even downloaded to a PC and it still won't connect to the servers. No one to call, can only send in support tickets. Guess I'm out $30. **Edited to say that they have refunded the money

Worse Education App Ever. I purchased this because I thought it was the next step up from ABCMouse. But this has already proven to be a major disaster. I have added this app on multiple devices and each devices is experiencing its own set of problems. I'm trying to help my kids learn but this app literally has me about to pull my hair out and toss all my devices in the trash cause this is where this app should be. Where is the learning? Training modules, exercises, something useful.

I already pay for abcmouse, since (this) is by the same company I figured it would be included, but its its not. You have to pay yet another monthly fee.. You guys need to consolidate all your apps in regards to one monthly fee for EVERYTHING. Or at least make that an option. I have no problem paying for apps, but what I hate is having to keep up with a ton of ones that take money every month.

My 4th grader hated this app. This was advertised as a learning game, however it's more game than education. Also, if you sign up for the free trial you have to put in your credit card information. Then they make you select an offer if you wish to continue later on. In less than 2 hours of use and signing up for the free trial I unistalled and cancelled. They charged my card 59.99 and sent an email saying they do not offer refunds. I would not recommend this app. Better off with abc mouse etc.

Horrible App, not compatible apparently on anything android. Keeps saying it's not able to reach server. Sadly, I bought into the cheaper 6 month subscription and now I'm out that money. *Edit to add, I emailed the company and they handled my situation quickly and very professional. My advice is to do the 7 day trial and make sure it works properly on all your devices!!

It takes 20 minutes to get this app up to load on our chromebook, if it loads at all. Within minutes it crashes or freezes then takes another 20 minutes to load. Tried it on my phone using data and it won't load at all. I've checked compatability, available ram, deleted my cache, uninstalled/reinstalled and restarted my chromebook. Nothing works. The reviews show this is a very common problem that has been going on for years with no fix from the devs. Don't pay for this app!

Have never been able to use the app! Waste of my money and I paid for 6 mths! The graphics make it appear worth it but the functionality isn't. In the 6 mths hes used it 3 times. Doesn't load or Internet error my son can't ever play on the app.. it freezes or doesn't load or says connection error when the Internet connection is good. I've had nothing but problems with this ap. It's very frustrating and disappointing

Great, when it works....but rarely works My kiddo loves to play this game and will work hard for hours. I love that shes learning but, this game freezes so much...takes forever to load or randomly cuts off and closes down her tablet. For the past 3 days it won't even open! It says there is an error and to send off a report...which I've done multiple times with no resolution. I paid for an entire year and if this is all that I'm going to get for it, I'm beyond frustrated.

The latest update will not install. We have been waiting over a week with no reply to help. Our device is compatible and should be able to handle the game. Previously the game also stalled in the midst of many adventures or would not close properly to save new progress on goals. The system also closed arbitrarily and quite frequently. This used to be something my daughter enjoyed but has become a source of frustration.

I can't even really rate the game because it takes forever to load. It's constantly freezing, or locking my kids into an activity they want to leave. We have a time limit on screens, so in 30 minutes they spend probably 15-20 waiting or stuck. They hate this game because it's a waste of their time. I'm glad you offer a free trial because I would be livid if I paid for this. And yes, all of our devices meet specs for this app. It's not a troubleshooting issue, it's poor design.

Overall a good game. Keeps my 7 year old busy. I read in a lot of other reviews that the app keeps crashing and glitching which is absolutely true and frustrating. It's the reason why I gave it only 3 stars. If you're lucky it works for a while and then suddenly it freezes up on you and takes forever to re-load. Speaking of which.. if you try going to another "area" it takes FOREVER to load. For a game you pay for this shouldn't be happening.

Overall it's a great game. But it's always loading or freezing up. Also with the new intellipet adventures you can never leave and even when you don't want to it automatically makes you train a pet which is horrible if you don't want to. And yes you can try running away but the minute you get out they are right next to you so you go back in. Please fix this!

I really, really wanted this to work but it doesn't. Freezes up constantly, lag time loading is HORRIBLE, and lastly- is not compatible with most new/current tablets. Overall great concept and the few times it worked, the kids loved it. When it crashes, it crashes hard and typically requires a hardboot to get the computer (Chromebook) back running.

Absolutely a waste of my time and my niece 's time. After signing up for the free trial for my 9 yr old niece, we never could use it. The problem was that she never did get started. The app kept crashing on her phone, my tablet, my chrome book, and our desktop. I called cust serv and was told that the app is only compatible with a very short list of newer devices. I immediately cancelled the free trial during that call . Despite giving them over 3 weeks notice, they still debited my account !

Horrible experience. Paid for the full year a few days ago and it seemed to be working fine the first 10 minutes but after that we just keep getting error messages or the same messages in the game repeating and can't move off the "campus hallway" tutor messages. Could really use eome guidance on how to correct these issues as soon as possible.
