Awkward setup, confusing entry to store as wife came as well and got in trouble for not realising had to scan her in. Worst feedback is it's been an hour since going to the shop and still don't know what I've been charged for. Shambles comes to mind, as won't be using again, mainly as customer should always know what they've been charged for and not be left worrying that a big incorrect bill is on the way.

WARNING: the first time you use Shop & Go, they pre-authorise a payment of £10 on your debit card whether or not you make a purchase. If you have a bank account that won't let you go overdrawn, this may prevent you from entering the store if your available balance is already less than £10. It may also cause subsequent payments from your card to be declined. It works very well and there are helpful staff on hand to explain how to use it. They don't tell you about the pre-authorisation.

It isn't it clear that your registered address on the app has to be the same as your billing address, otherwise you can't set up a payment card (my home address and billing address are different). It took me a while to figure this out but once I did the app works well, however, I'd recommend that the above is made clearer on the app!

Well, the two stars is only because I think this app is having many teething troubles but if you're seeing more than two, it means the situation has changed. No matter how many times I tried to sign up with my details and how many times I checked my details for mistakes it just wouldn't let me progress any further. Maybe the developers could answer with some troubleshooting tips?

App was working fine,since the store opened. However, two weeks ago suddenly my payment method is invalid. I only have ever had the one payment method and have never changed it. Spoke to Aldi customer service, no help. No one in customer service can rectify this issue apparently. Such a shame! Because I did my main shopping there. Edit. Only started to work again today. 3 months later.

Unfortunately, there are many issues with an app and the whole concept at the store. Sign up process is not straightforward, and password recovery route is fully unacceptable. An app will not store your credentials during login, and if you have made mistake in password in order to change it have to request code but if you accidentally added wrong email it will freeze. You have to uninstall an app in order to log in with the correct email. In store multiple errors with items. Amazon has less

App is great, didn't let me revolut card through unfortunately, but the shop employee was great at the door for walking me through the steps. I was with someone who couldn't get the app, but we were both shopping together so it let us both go together under the same app which is pretty useful. App was actually pretty simple and the shopping experience was fast and smooth. Only complaint is it not accepting my revolut card

Awful. Can't add payment method. Enter details, approve in my bank app. This app then says 'confirm form resubmission' and then annouces 'something went wrong' ad infinitum.

Charged me for item I did not buy at Greenwich Aldi then denied the refund. No thanks I'll shop at my local Tesco from now on. Or where there is a non automated system. buhhh byeee... Tried the useless customer service AI it just said it doesn't understand. All in all I'm not using the Greenwich Aldi again. There's nothing I can't get in Tesco, Sainsbo or Waitrose!

DO NOT DOWNLOAD if you live in the US. The App is only available in the UK but no where on the app or this page, say that. It asks for credit card information, which I had assumed would be used for me to be able to place a pickup order like every grocery store is doing now. But no. I was charged $12 and can't even use the app. No where did it state I would be charged. They should remove this from the playstore asap

It used to work perfectly, but since the update it logged me out and wouldn't accept my password. When I ask for a password reset I don't receive an email. So can't log back in to use.

Don't work. Registered an put all my details. They send a code to verify yourself via email, but the code doesn't work. Tried a few times. 💩 Thinking this is just a shade way of getting people's information to sell on.

Took a couple of attempts to sign up on app after filling out details, the "Sign up" button is greyed out. I tripled checked that all the mandatory fields were filled out correctly with the two tick boxes ticked. Also, do not understand why the tutorial swipe is timelocked and not instantaneous, especially if it's the second or third time round.

Need to call it 'Aldi Greenwich Shop & Go' as it's not 100% clear. App took £10 validation payment off me before I realised there is only one Aldi store in the country where this app will work. I wasn't in that store so how am I going to get my £10 back off my bill if I wasn't shopping in Greenwich?! Also, what's the point of having a store locator if it only works for one store!

I should never have walked into the Greenwich (London) Aldi - forced to pay £10 to enter the store - I paid £10 to walk in, bought a bottle of water (£0.39) - i still haven't received the £9.69 back. Forced to download this app for my refund!? Didn't tell that either. That little blond lady working there was less interested in helping than dragging her feet around the store - clearly couldn't be bothered, clueless beyond measure.

I would like to delete my account but the system doesn't let me. It insists I have pending receipts despite having the receipts lists empty. (I accidentally installed the app and that's why I don't need it). This extra handling is the kind of things that make the app world so bad.
