Songs disappear from playlists, playlists played through an Alexa device won't play the entirety of the playlist and when you try to skip to the next song, it will just repeat what it most recently played, it starts music 5-10 seconds into a song when listening to playlists, and y'all frequently have the wrong pictures attached to artists. Taylor Swift looks nothing like Michael Buble but his picture is frequently the one shown on my app. I really don't like Amazon music but I'm stuck with it

I'll never understand why this app sucks as much as it does. Especially for this to be a service folks have to pay for. It jumbles up my playlist, constantly blacks out songs telling me they are unavailable, its useless trying to search for a song if you don't know the name... it doesn't stop there, but we don't get enough space to type all that.

Every once in a while, songs will disappear from your playlists despite them still being counted for. (just "edit" your playlist, and it'll essentially tell you how many songs are missing) There is no real fix for this, or at least one that works for me. I have to uninstall and reinstall the app constantly because of this. Such a shame, right? Amazon has so much money, but godforbid they actually use it to put quality into their products. Edit: Had to reinstall it every day this week so far.

They updated the app on the 11th of March 2024, and it now glitches when playing my playlists. It will show that I have 27 tracks in the list but only list 24 of them. When I go to add the missing songs back, it shows the error for it already being in the list. It happens to random playlists and only fixes itself by logging in and out of the app. I had no issues until now. It's annoying enough that I might switch. Update: it only fixes itself when you delete and redownload.

As of right now, this app is sometimes unusable due to bugs. Endless loading wheels that can't be gotten rid of, the app randomly telling me I'm running out of skips on music that I have purchased and owned, etc. Also, Amazon has removed the ability to buy songs from the app, no doubt to encourage subscriptions to music unlimited. Kinda scummy imo. With the quality of this app, I'd never want to pay for it!

Used to love it, but Update - I was having problems getting songs to play - only about 50 repeats over and over, after I had 1200 or so free songs on it. Like several other I see, they are trying to get me to download the app with the monthly cost, even though I have Amazon Prime. Today, I could not get a single song. And I tried to delete the app, reload, nothing worked, and it automatically loaded "UNLOADED", meaning not free with Amazon Prime, as it has been. I'll try it again, and see if ..

Liked the ease of accessing my playlists from another music app. Absolutely dislike the very close proximity of the "sign up" and "no thanks" buttons. Two times in two days, my finger wasn't completely on the "no thanks" button so I was automatically signed up & $9.99 was immediately charged to my card. In order to be refunded the $9.99, both times I had to contact C/S. This really needs to be addressed by the programmers ASAP!

The app is what it says, an app that has music, podcast, etc. I've tried this app several times over the years on multiple different android phones. Doesn't matter what phone I've had, this app constantly closes for no reason. Also I hate the fact that I can't customize to not play certain artists. If only the app would close for me when Beyonce comes on! Why go through the trouble to"like" a song when it's just going to play stuff I hate? This app frustrates me.

Super glitchy (eg playback always freezes if I try to skip back more than a minute or so, have to force stop), randomly puts me in "car mode" regularly except when I'm actually in a car, frequent and obnoxious pop ups if you use the free version but based on my free trial the paid version doesn't offer what Spotify does. Tried it due to ad-free versions of some podcasts but I think I prefer the ads! Thought it might have been my old phone but just upgraded and have the exact same issues.

Annoying issue. this a major issue that I have noticed with this. I have the the echo link. And for some reason it's so hard to control the music how you want. It seems like there are two versions of the same Amazon music that you start from one. You cast to Echo link then it assumes a new life of its own. You can't control it anymore. You want to change the music to something else and disaster just can't change and your party is ruined. I am trying to stay loyal to Amazon but Spotify better

Things keep changing & then problems pop up. Currently, the app won't allow me to shuffle my playlists - one of which has 39 hours of music- and starts at the same 2 or 3 songs every time. Then, charging extra money for Unlimited just annoys me. I pay for an ever increasing Prime membership. Now I'm being forced to watch commercials on Video and seemingly pay to get the app to shuffle my playlists. The only alternative seems to be to just deal. Not cool.

Keeps stopping every time I use my camera on my phone! As in inspector, I use my phone regularly at work to document issues with parts, and I'm always listening to music on here when I'm working. Every time I have restart this music app after I take a picture! Super annoying when I lose my place in a playlist and have to start over; especially paying over $10/mo. for the premium plan on top of $130 for Prime! Please fix this Amazon!

They just BROKE this app!!! I listen to a playlist on repeat every night as I sleep, it has helped me sleep and overcome insomnia for the past decade. Now, my playlist is set to auto shuffle and I can't turn that off, can't turn on repeat playlist function, and I can't control my songs or playlists anymore without paying a monthly subscription! It used to be included in my prime membership, apparently today that all changed! I hate being forced to pay monthly subscriptions. Ruined a perfect app!

Update: now the app is making it near impossible for me to download my music to my phone so I can listen to it in another app. It's a shame bc I was always a fan bc I thought Apple was a walled Garden. Amazon Music is no better at this point. Worse than trying to cancel your cable or credit card. They're just holding onto my music. So 1 star stays. Android user. Unfortunately the app has developed a bug where it just stops playing. If the bug gets fixed the rating goes way up.

Every time they update, they break something. Current issues: When you have the app in background open for a while(not playing), you have to close it because it opens to a black screen that you can't move away from. If you have poor internet it has trouble accessing your library, including your downloads. If you have poor internet, it will continually put up an error message about poor internet. Airplane mode "fixes" the connection issue, but it will still throw up the internet error.

Since Google forced me to abandon their podcast app. I've been using this one, but find it irritating that it constantly wants to upsell me to unlimited music which I don't want. Generally it seems to work okay, but there's always a period of adjustment as you have to get used to a new app. I found it does pick up automatically where I left off a podcast, even if since then I have started and finished another. I guess that is an advantage in some cases if you can't easily access your phone.

Volume is extremely low when casting to other devices. Other than that, it seems ok. Watch out for the sneaky, "upgrade" button that pops up. Automatically charges you, no verification that you want to actually want to spend 9.99 a month. And the way it pops up is so sketchy also. It's delayed, so when you try to press what you want to play, it's scary charging you

Quite a few years ago, i enjoyed using this app 100% of the time. Now, there are so many bugs. I can't listen to downloaded artists as a category any more. The liking/loving and disliking doesn't work anymore. I can't access a few songs (I can listen to them if I choose the album, but I can't interact with any of the songs within the album.) I've been an unlimited member for years.

This app fails at its most basic function: playing music. On my Pixel 8, the audio constantly drops if I navigate away from the app even to do something simple like send a text message. The app keeps playing, but the sound drops and does not return unless I pause and play again; this happens on Bluetooth and wired headphones. No other music app I use (paid or free) has this problem. It is enough of a nuisance that I'm likely to cancel my Unlimited subscription and try another hi-res competitor.

I have the paid service and I still can't play my playlists! I downloaded several playlists to listen to while traveling and even though the songs are downloaded, it only plays some of the songs in the playlist--most often, just one single song from the playlist over and over again. Can't fast forward to another song, can't pick another song, whatever I do, so long as I'm in the playlist, it only plays the one song! Absolute trash app, will be canceling my subscription.
