The content is wonderful! At first, with all the ads from other apps about the Chosen, I thought it would be a low-effort, cheesy production. I was gladly proved wrong. It really lifts Jesus up in a new perspective 🙌🏾 The app itself could use a bit of work (just like any other) as it is buggy from time to time and doesn't have all the streaming features I'd like. Also the sound quality could be improved. But overall great app and even better content.

Love the content, but the app definitely needs some fine tuning. I recently installed the TV app version on my Chromecast, and although it downloaded just fine, it would not open even after restart. I tried again the next day, and it finally opened, but it would not readily allow me to login to my account. The phone scan website would not open, so I tried the browser, which said the code was expired. So I tried again, finally with success. Definitely most work of any TV app I've ever used.

I love this portrayal of Jesus. Very well done. The app is simple and easy to use, although I've been having trouble trying to enable the subtitles in the TV. In the app works fine but once I start broadcasting it doesn't show the option in the TV for audio or subtitles, and I can't control it on the app once it starts streaming. Besides that, everything else is great.

Amazing show! I've grown so much in my desire to know the Lord more & be close to Him! The app itself though needs work. I have had 2 or 3 episodes out of the 5 I've watched that paused & would not continue even after phone restarts. I had to uninstall the app & reinstall to get the videos to work. I found that this usually happens if I don't "X" out of the video before doing something outside the app.. Such as replying to a text or checking a notification. Please fix..

Smooth and seamless. Great quality visual and audio, great to download the episodes or stream. With our internet, it streams well with no stops or glitches. If I want to watch an episode on the go, I download it ahead of time. Amazing that they make it available for free. The quality of the show itself is incredible. The one and only "problem" is you have to turn subtitles on each time you watch an episode. So it doesn't remember your settings with subtitles. Overall it's excellent!

Love the content! Binged all the shows last summer. Was super excited about the new Christmas special. Disappointment was my end result. The app has some kind of issue that their IT department is aware of but must not be able to fix it. I emailed my issue of not being able to cast to my tv anymore which I never had the problem before. Stephanie emailed me back, stated that IT was aware of the issue. This was a few days before Christmas, haven't heard anything else, and issue is still not fixed.

Absolutely incredible! The acting is incredibly well. The cinematography is excellent. The message, spot on! I heard the ad running, while I was working, and immediately dropped everything I was doing to see what it was. My first thought was: I hope this is a movie, cause I want to watch it. I watched the entire ad. Then learned it was an app. Downloaded it right away, and I WAS SHOCKED at the quality of video, the care taken to produce the app, the amount of languages and subtitles. A++

The series itself is awesome. Everything is completely free. Sometimes the app gets a little glitchy and an episode will pause/buffer and will not resume, and you have to close and clear out the app, then reopen and go back to the episode. It also takes a little while to load; I think it might be because of the live watch timer. I wonder if you decreased update increments if some of those problems would resolve. Just some ideas. Again, great series though!

The show is amazing. The app is frustrating. It rarely connects to the Fire Stick or Smart TV for casting, so we're stuck watching it on phones or tablets. A show this good deserves an app to match it, and frankly it's been around long enough that these issues should have been solved by now. I'll still continue telling everyone I know about the show because it's that amazing, but please...fix the app!

Love the show...the app itself needs some adjusting..its not user friendly ...i had to turn it on and off from screen sharing...to get it to show on my phone to turn subtitles on...it was very complicated..it just doesn't cooperate...or pausing a video and then replaying! I hope they get the bugs out soon..the content is what everyone needs to see right now.thank you chosen!!! I am hooked.!

The series is precious minutes really precious. Look for some constructive criticism one thing you could improve on the app technically is the way the content ends. Perhaps you should have a auto rewind. What often happens especially with shorter video content when I try to play it subsequent times is I have to manually rewind it and if I don't catch it in time it just plays off the end and then stops right away and it can kind of be a little tricky.

I absolutely love this series, but it is unfortunate that it is very rare that I can cast it to my TV. Tried it with Amazon Fire Stick and Roku. Followed all the troubleshooting instructions I could find, and just cant get it to work. I was successful once out of a hundred times. Its really is frustrating because its the thing I want to watch most. Youtube fine, any other casting thing works fine, but my favorite series just will not.

The one star is for the app. The app would not cast to our Fire stick from either of our Android phones. After multiple reboots, uninstalling, installing troubleshooting, unplugging and plugging in we gave up. Please fix the app. We love the film. I would give the film more than 5 stars. It is excellent and biblically accurate. We would be willing to fund the cause if the app worked. But we don't want to spend money on something that doesn't work.

Love the content. 3 stars because the app is difficult to navigate since there doesn't seem to be a search function (or at least not one I can find), so if you are looking for a specific dry bar comedian or something, you sort of just have to scroll endlessly. And the scrolling is sideways, not up and down making it doubly hard to search through a long list.

(Update: fixed!) This app has great clean, Christian-friendly content. But it is very hard to enjoy it because the app is really laggy. If I wanted to pause, I'd tap the screen and wait for the menu to open for a minute. Then the pause button would be there, and I'd tap that, and I'd wait another minute for it to actually pause. I leave this review because I am hoping the Angel team will see and fix the issue. I would really like to finish The Chosen!

Love everything about the Chosen. However, the app upgrade isn't working for me. I see the trailers for the new season are available from other sources, where as in previous years there eer constant updates on the app. Am not receiving any new content. Have not found a way to communicate to the administrator. Also overall the app has become too busy and unwieldy which all the other production content that's apart from the Chosen. I feel I don't even want to use it anymore.

I absolutely am hooked on the show The Chosen. But it has not been working in the app or on the site. It not only won't cast, but also won't even play on my phone. I've tried everything from reinstalling the app, to restarting my wi-fi and nothing. It's been this way for a few weeks now. Please please find a way to fix this. It has become one of my family's favorite shows, yet we can no longer watch it 😔

Very disappointed!! We recently found out about the Chosen series. We watched season 1 onthe app by casting to our Samsung TV. Since the update, we can't cast to our TV. My sons and I have tried everything to get it to work. Uninstalled and re-installed. Reset our modem and TV. The only thing that pops up in the cast box is Roku, Fire TV, apple TV, Google TV, I don't have any of that. I even tried to use Smartview and screen mirror from the app to the TV. It shuts us off after 1 minute.

I can't attend the theater movies due to health reasons. When I joined the Guild, I thought it was like all movie apps, i.e. you could view any movie at any time that the company produced. But mostly they only show animation movies, which I am not fond of. I do not plan to renew my annual membership unless they make a change to their app movie presentations.

Love the app, and have been using it for over a year. But today (May 24, 2024) the app just crashes when I try to start it. There are no updates available, and I've rebooted my phone. There was a system update on my phone (Android) last night, so perhaps that is contributing. Other apps seem unaffected. Hoping Angel Studios sees this so they can fix it!
