occasional glitches with app that can be annoying. sometimes get phone call that identifies HA and states they have a homeowner who wants to be connected on the line - then it hangs up. No info in dashboard to follow up with. popup asking if I spoke with homeowner (y/n) comes up before I've completed dialing and over the extension I am supposed to dial.

Its cost a lot of money for a poor service. They charge you for every lead even when you are not able to contact the person that submitted the lead. Sometimes I can't reach potential clients through Angie's phone service, and it has a bad delay when I do (they also don't give you the customers phone number so that you can directly call them), I can't add notes to any of the leads (there's a button but it says it can't save and to "try again later").

Frustrating. You have to place your calls to leads initially from this app. Problem is periodically the app will not connect the call. This can also sound like a customer that picked up then hung up on you, leaving you wonder which it is. The app is slow to load whether I'm on 5g or wifi. The txt msg feature is nice but clunky. There are other irritating issues but I don't have enough space. Summary, good in concept but needs a lot more work!

While the concept is good, it's execution leaves much to be desired. A potential customer can ask for tasks outside your skill set (and outside your licenses) and you still have to pay for the "lead". Imagine being a carpenter and getting someone asking for plumbing help. (It happens OFTEN). But basically the app says "We connected you. Pay us!" You can request a credit but if it happens too much they penalize you and make you go into review. App structure overhaul before I can recommend.

The app really helps us find customers. There are a few snags in the system: can't program the leads to turn off at night automatically (you have to do it manually), there is not enough time between leads to finish with one customer and the phone is ringing with another customer, and when you call in, you have to go through a long menu to get to support. Support is very helpful, many of the leads are productive, and the service is really helping my business grow.

If there would have been insite given on this app when i was initially introduced to it, it would have been much easier to manuver around in it, but unfortunately there wasnt, so it took me much too long to get the hang of it on my own, which led to some confusion and mistakes made. Other than that, if implimented correctly in a fair and precise manner, it could work for the good of all who uses it.

The home advisor app is ok. In the past I've tried to stop my lead notifications and it didn't work. I received an email saying that my lead's would be turned back in 48 hours but I received a new lead that same day! Glitch?! I've updated my business zip areas several times but each time it's changed it doesn't stay the way I put it. I do however like the automatic emails I can send people when they are not responding.

I like the app, but I wish there was a way to pause from getting leads. Is there anyway to pause? there's a lot that can be made better for the guys that are just starting out. there should be a way to differentiate between individuals that are only price shopping vs people that need services done sooner rather than later. half the time people don't pickup their phones or respond to text or email. i think one of the worse is getting duplicate leads and being charged for both.

Great marketing app. I've been using Home Advisor for almost two years now. One of my main complaints is that they need a better system for refunding contractors for leads that's are inaccurate. For instance, clients that only want a price or change their mind, etc. Refunds for bad leads through this service are difficult at times. Other than that, it's worth the money.

The app is slow and inconsistent. Notifications do not push through in a timely manner. While calling a customer through the app, the question "did you speak with the customer?" is asked before it even dials the phone number, which then causes the dialer to not bring up the passcode to connect. there also seems to be on average, about a 30 minute delay in actually receiving an opportunity.

I subscribed to their leads a month ago with high hopes, but got many $100 "leads" (80% roughly) that don't answer or reply after multiple attempts to contact. This is not a problem as you can request a credit for leads that you cannot contact after multiple attempts; until it is a problem - the algorithm tends to turn down a request for credit for some of them, without explanation. At ~$100 "some" (I know, I quoted myself) can quickly balloon into a LOT of money owed for essentially nothing.

I would LOVE this app, but the lead prices are too high for my industry and location ($23 for a $75 job). I've tried to give constructive feedback to corporate, but they are too big to adjust the rates I guess. The lead quality is slightly better than most, but at $23/lead it makes you more furious when you get bogus leads (60%+). If you cannot contact a lead you can request a credit which is nice. Unfortunately if you do this too many times they review and reject each request.

The instant connects expire before they are even sent. 90% of the leads have fake phone numbers and email so you have no way of reaching the customer and you every excuse they can NOT reimburse you. The App itself does not refresh properly. It will not let you back out of screens so you have to refresh the entire app. Using text or email through the app does not go through or shows up as spam in the customers email. Think twice before using this service.

You get charged for leads they send you, but they have zero screening for the actual "leads". I talk to less than 1/2 the leads I am sent. I call, text and email but don't connect with someone, I am charged for it though. "Leads" often times request a service that I don't offer, boom, charged for it. The most common thing that I hear from these leads is that they had a question they wanted answered and don't need my service. You should have the option to accept a lead before you're charged.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Terribly buggy app, makes me look like a fool in front of my customers, I was misled to think I could take credit cards (you can't only send an invoice and they "simply" have to download the app) and the list goes on. I turned my leads off but somehow they kept magically turning back on. I managed to call and have them paused for longer because I'm incredibly choosy with my business but damn I am so done with this service. Thumbtack was better and FREE.

The leads are very expensive for framing repair. A lot of the jobs are small but Home Advisor charges around $100 per lead and often the lead comes from someone who is just wanting to compare prices. The pro Advisor app isn't very user friendly either. Editing your service locations by using their map doesn't seem to work as leads continue to be sent from areas where I've turned the location off. Overall it's less expensive to build your own website.

App is easy to navigate and use. When you get good leads, you get great business! Unfortunately that's only about half the time, and you still have to pay for 100 percent of the leads. It's a hassle and time consuming to get credit back for bogus leads after you "run out" of credit back requests on the app. Would not recommend due to the money and time this company has cost me and my business.

Charged for a lead, customer didn't need a project completed. Angi's support refused to credit the lead charge, all because I chose to text the customer instead of call. Literally cancelling this service. Huge scam. Customer service is full of car salesman. This app has bugs left and right, is down constantly, and does not update changes you've made. Looking to file with the state and see what my options are.

Working with Angie is like getting charged a toll road fee, before you even drove on the toll road. No guaranteed income, but they will charge your credit card until it's limit and then they will keep charging you on their internal accounts until you owe thousands of dollars to them. Extremely pushy salespeople. Everyone I know has had an unpleasant experience with this platform. Overall it's basically a scam. Bad leads. People just looking for a quick quote with no commitment. Use Craigslist.

Been with HomeAdvisor since 2004. Angi took over... Horrible lead to contact rate! 'Customer' very rarely actually answers the calls, messages, or emails after a lead has been paid for. You don't get to choose the lead you get charged for. For every 5 leads (costing up front +$100), I get ONE potential customer to reply to my calls. Customer service on Angi's end is horrible, and there isn't enuff room here to list all the problems.
