@dev please read other reviews' message before answering simply that the sync works. Like many others, the synchronization stopped working a long time ago. It did work then no longer. Maybe an implementation of the new Google Auth is required. Currently I am adding ALL my flights manually, with no exception. And yes I have removed and link again my Gmail account. It simply doesn't work at all. There's a bug and as far as I can tell it was already there since 2022.

App In The Air has indeed revolutionized the travel experience for frequent flyers. With its comprehensive features, it serves as a personal travel assistant, keeping track of all flight-related information to optimize travel experiences. Its user-friendly interface and valuable insights from fellow travelers make it a must-have for those who are always on the go. Whether it's managing flight details or providing airport tips, App In The Air ensures that your journey is always smooth

Uninstalled in less than a minute. I do not like apps that have rankings, achievements and earning junk! I want apps that are useful and have nothing to do with competing with others. If I want that stuff, I would play games. The other features looked nice, but this app is not for me. That's why I use Google maps over Waze for example. Waze is like this app with rankings and achievements. I wish developers would stick to what the apps purpose is and not add stupid extras to it.

Update* Now my summary stats lie behind a paywall so I can no longer see which aircraft I've flown on or which airports I've been to. That was kind of the whole point of me using the app. Very disappointing. And at $50 that's an insane price to pay for that feature. Shame. I feel like I wasted so much time adding flight history and now they've blocked me from seeing that info. Seriously used to be the coolest apps I've seen in a while GUI was super user friendly.

I love the app (paid member). The only gripe I really have is that updating info is pretty slow. I was tracking my wife's flight and she texted me after she landed. The app still showed her in the air for another 7 minutes. There were other notifications that came in later than I felt it should. I understand a little bit of lag, and I understand it is not virtually instantaneous as the ACARS and such. But a several minute lag could mean someone missing their flight or connection.

It imports flights from Tripit well. It does not handle other travel information from Tripit well. This makes it necessary for me to still use Tripit as my primary app for looking up my itinerary. The app is not totally useless, but this lack of reliable non-flight data gathering makes it a less than very useful app. I wonder if Tripit decides to beef up it's flight info interface, this app would be obsolete. At best, this app fills a small gap in the flight data organization.

I've had this app for over 10y now and loved it til the major ui changes recently. Since adding in app booking, which is excessive, useless, and not why I have this app, the app's become cluttered and lacking. Everything useful that set it apart is now behind a steep paywall (that i wouldn't mind paying if they got rid of the booking clutter & leaned more into the maps/visual data or allowed bus/train connections as input.

Just installed, so far this is exactly what i was hoping for! I really like the flight map, and having (most of) my loyalty programs in one place, in one view is so much nicer. I hope United and American and the other hold outs get on board soon. I already barely use them because there are so many better choices available, but I still do have miles with them.

NEW REVIEW: Update the software and lose all the most basic functions unless you pay. I used to be able to manually input flight info and boarding info... and even that now requires Premium to work. No thanks. Uninstalled. EDIT to respond to developer: the only way to get your app to give me basic functions is to "bypass" a pay wall that you created by annoying my friends? no thanks. happy to have uninstalled and wouldn't recommend others because the app doesn't even update anything real time.

Absolutely AWESOME App! I was a former Trip It subscriber but this gives you a lifetime for the price of one year of Trip It and they both are excellent apps. It has all of the Bells, Whistles and Lights and I can't think of anything else that I could use. My one recommendation is a simple on-line user guide for newbies that you click through to from the help screen.

Update: I emailed support and am waiting to hear back. TBD if we can get it working. | This app might be great but I'm having some issues with it. It requires full access to your email account in order to use all of the features, and when I went to set up an IMAP provider, it couldn't connect to anything. When I tried to connect my TripIt account, I couldn't dismiss the cookies notice so I couldn't accept the permissions. And it also wants full access to your calendar, which makes me nervous.

*** Update*** I still am having trouble getting my Galaxy watch to connect to the app. Customer service has been working with me but no success yet. I feel like this is a known problem but it has not been addressed by the developer. I would gladly give 5 stars if that worked. I really like this app. It works great on my phone. I like having everything I need to see while traveling in one place. However I am having some difficulty getting my watch to sync with the app. Nothing I have done seems t

Utility? I haven't found much use for this app. It fails to find the flights that I need (direct flight between capital cities on a flag carrier three weeks out:; should be easy, no?) Hotel search did return results, but searching for Hilton Hotels returned no results in New York City until I turned off that filter. Hyatt isn't a recognized brand. Other places it worked reasonably well, though I couldn't see the advantage over other apps, and any third-party booking is a MAJOR disadvantage ov

UPDATE: Unfortunately I now seem to be having all sorts of problems with this app, whenever the airlines update flight information. I am ending up with duplicate entries in my itinerary, and cannot tell which flight is current and which is no longer applicable. For me, this makes the app untrustworthy and therefore unusable. I've spoken by email with their support who are able to delete the erroneous flights, but having to do this for every change is unacceptable. Going back to Tripit Pro.

For keeping all your air and hotel travel information in one place this is the best. Also great for keeping yourself organized during a trip, easily keeping abreast of time constraints plus the little details that help a trip move just a little bit better. (Gate changes, delays & baggage claim info!) It's also fun to look back at your travel history and check out the special "stamps" the app gives you for visiting countries and certain activities like catching a red-eye. All this and more!

This app is perfect for seeing where you've been and how many hours you've travelled. I like the map, stats page, and achievements. Those pages provide accurate detail and interesting information in a simple understandable way. I have a few issues with the app, mostly from lack of information detail, difficulty adding information, and information inaccuracy. I wish there was more detail in the countries section as well as more countries overall. Flights can duplicate. Wrong flight times.

I travel frequently and I am a very efficient traveler in every sense of the term. However, due to the government shutdown in the USA, even an efficient traveler like me (who has a backup plan in place or two) was worried about traveling. I did some research and this app came up as being recommended. Quite a catchy name for an app, I downloaded it. It has been love at first app. Easy to use, easy to update information and has made my life easier!

What does App-in-the-Air do that TripIt Pro doesn't? Tried many methods of syncing data via both TripIt and email; NONE worked consistently. And don't even think about it if your travel plans change, for instance, if the airline changes your departure time. Your updates are not reflected in "App in the Air" even if your accounts are supposedly linked.. Moreover, there doesn't seem to be a way to delete and recreate just the part of your itinerary that was changed (though, thankfully, not the entire itinerary). This app has no value!

Excellent app. Developer really cares and addresses users' requests! Oct. 2018 update: Developer has addressed some of my concerns. Enjoy using the app, increased my rating to 4 stars. Thanks. Original review: I like the night mode but it's "unfinished" on the flight page (the one with the timeline and map). The background is white and the text is a very hard to read light gray. Please fix.

I used to love this app because it was giving me the ability to look back on all my travels but in the past 3 years it's been less good. My flights don't sync from my email consistently and when I email the confirmation to just@ I get a reply thay the flight itinerary cannot be imported. It suggests to send an excel file with flight info for mass import (?) Who has time to put together an excel file together? The app lost the basic thing I loved, so I am now looking for an alternative.
