Can the "Chat Bubble" option be removed or changed? It takes up so much space on the screen and blocks transactions/information, no matter where I move it. If I need to chat with the bank, I will. I don't need the symbol taking up space while looking at my account please.

Ever since this update, new look and new format. Everything has been so slow. The picture of the guy stays there for a minute or two before it take you to your accounts. I don't know what it is, but it use to work so good. We have AFB since 2001, and this is the first time I'm considering USAA or another bank. The text messages are never updated. It will say I have this much money and I will check it and it's not the same balance. Time to say goodbye.

Had no issues up until I decided to change banks and transfer all my funds to the new one. Took a solid two weeks to finally get the transfer greenlit. That was back in February. Now it's two months later and I start receiving emails from them again and calls about having an open account that's not being used. So if you want to use Armed Forces Bank for the rest of your life go ahead and use it because they're great with everything except trying to close everything out with them.

In the last 2 years, the accuracy of this app has diminished. Too many occasions where the previous day balance reflected on the the next day does not match the last balance recorded on the previous day balance. The debited amounts should reflect immediately, pending payments work to only further cause confusion and unreliability in the app's. Please bring back the app from 2 years ago. If it there was a debit, it showed right away. It was accurate, consistent and dependable.

Mobile Deposit has glitches and no exit. You have to force kill the app to close or exit even after logging off. The image capture for mobile deposit does not capture the whole check front or back and requires multiple tapping the image to convince it to take the picture. The you have to exit the deposit after taking the front image to get it to take the back image. Tapped the image a dozens of times before it took the picture. Still not sure if the deposit with cropped images will be accepted.

Changed my banking service because I hate this app so much. It's inefficient and clunky. I tried to at least transfer that money to my new bank. I added my new bank and every time I try to transfer I can't because I've "already added this account" yet whenever I go to send money the bank says I have no accounts added! This is ridiculous and I just want my money already. It's even more of a nightmare if you're overseas with no in person help 🙄

Unfortunately the new improvement isn't working for me too well. I love the new features on it. It does give it more of a modern look, but the last application was simple and easy to navigate. Also it gave me a better and accurate balance on my card. For some reason this new update has some delays on deposits and other transactions than I used to have with the old application.

I preferred the old app, and the way our account read. I also liked that we used to be able to see when money was going to be deposited. You can't understand this garbage. Oh, I did figure out parenthesis somehow stand for money being taken out? Why mess with something that wasn't broken. This app is annoying. And I also haven't been able to see all of the bills that get taken out. The app shows money is missing, but I'll do the math and it doesn't add up. Then later on, it will finally show.

Save yourself the hassle, bank somewhere else. I banked with them for ten years and while it wasn't the best to begin with, it continually got worse. I put off switching for a long time, but I'm glad I finally did. Unless you have a branch right next to you for the foreseeable future, it's worth it to looking into other options. This place sucks

The application is okay. It lacks ease of access and smooth UI that a lot of bigger banks have, namely USAA and NFCU. The bank and the application should talk better and provide real time, actual account balances ALL OF THE TIME. THIS application seems to like to take weekends off and work part-time, from home, in between naps, and not leave an out-of-office message.

So changing my review and dropping a star, but not just for the app. First, the app has a pretty bad design, and does NOTHING when the back arrow is used. You can't even back out of the app, but have to use the home button to leave unless you log out, but that just gets you back to the login and you still have to hit Home to get out. Bad design! Two, since the app is dependent on how the new web site works, it also has the same annoying problems that the site has. Namely, why can't it keep updated on things that happen after hours like the old app/website did? Just checked and can't see purchases I did within the last few hours so I can't really tell exactly how much I have left, though I'm sure I could do that if I drive to an ATM. Why can't this be that up to date, LIKE IT USED TO BE? Really do not like how the newer app and website works, but we are stuck with it. Whatever focus group they used to gauge the necessity of these changes was just wrong. Though I could learn to live with it better if the above annoyances are improved on.

Horrible app. Everyday I contemplate changing banks since they updated this app. I cannot transfer money like I used to and it freezes, constantly sending me notifications someone is trying to log in with wrong password, the list goes on but the most frustrating part is being charged a overdraft fee when their system fails to update and make transfers on timely manner. Been with this bank since 2008 and I'm strongly considering finding a new one.

Okay as far as banking apps go. But overall functionality is low, can't do any transfers outside of the branch account and online support is non existent thru the app. Transfered all my accounts for more convenient access, and thus far regret doing so. Fix the app and its functionality and it would be worth staying, based on other reviews I'm not alone.

Ever since the new update I've been so frustrated with it. It takes too long to load, I can't see my incoming payments 2-3 days in advance anymore, the Instant Balance feature was taken away, its taking longer to get an accurate balance after a purchase or a payment, and the new layout is just overall confusing. It's still a good bank, just a bad app

Worst Online Banking App EVER since the recent update! You can't check instant balances anymore. It doesn't show pending deposits anymore. It takes forever to load for the new visuals. It's just all around garbage! We hated having to deal with Armed Forces already and with the new update to online banking we've had enough. We'll be dropping them as soon as we can get all of our direct deposits and automatic bill payments swapped over to our new account with a different bank.

Absolutely hate this new app. The old one would show me 3-4 days in advance when my incoming money would be available to me and how much it was for. This one doesn't, it doesn't update my balance with pending transactions as quickly as the old one, takes forever to log in to and load my account info. Had so much trouble even getting a password that it would accept and then so much more trouble getting it to let me access my account after I did change it. Hate it, terrible.

Worked for a bit. Now it takes multiple attempts to make payments. Frustrating and inefficient for banking. No way to sort payees (current, occasional or old). Scroll through until you find the right one. Hope the payment will go though. Could be so much better. Online at least you can see what you paid last and when. Once I get a good working computer I will get rid of this. Took 45 minutes to pay 5 or 6 bills. Not helpful.. Waste of time and effort.

Recent updates leave the app to be inaccurate when it comes to your accounts, the app will say that I received my check but the balances don't change. You try to do an internal transfer the money disappears, nearly giving me a heart attack. If this doesn't change soon I will most likely just go to a different bank. Leaving on a positive note customer service is very good.

AFB sucks. They are not customer friendly. The tellers at the branch are rude and this app is not convenient. You can't deposit checks unless it has .00 cents. Not worth it at all. App has improved tremendously. Love the new features. Customer service has also improved. Called to set up the new login and agent was patient, imformative, and friendly. Glad I stuck it out.

why is the keyboard not popping up when in this app? lol this new version of the app is embarrassingly slow. seriously. every single page is up to 20-30 seconds of delay & animation. renders this app unusable. I don't know how other banks can build a decent app but Armed Forces can't. Their older app version was much faster. You can shove more features in this new version but it's meaningless if the app is painfully & embarrassingly slow. Update: still slow & clunky in 2024.
