It's hard to find an app that has live playback during recording, gain control, highest quality/multiple formats. The noise cancelling is a nice feature because your phone has two mics, but the quality of the recording with the noise cancelling feature is only so-so, and is terrible with live playback. Live playback might be affected because USB-C headphones connect near my microphone and wireless won't work with this app (and with other apps has a delay). Overall this is recommended.

Each time I have done recordings it will mess up the play speed when you listen back. It will play perfect and then randomly sound like the playback speed is set the the highest setting. Even trying to play it on the slowest setting at these times it will sound sped up and choppy. I have tried adjusting the settings and everything is at the best quality level and it still does this. Works well for recording. The app does not allow you to modify metadata information, which is frustrating, since the artist and title are permanently affix with the ASR titles. Otherwise, does all the basics. (Update) in response to NLL's response and their prompt addressing of other update difficulties, I increased the rating from 3 to 4 stars.

So far I havnt been able to get any external mics to work properly with this app. I've purchased the pro version expecting it to work and nothing. I've switched out the microphones, and the mics work with my other devices. I've also used 3 different phones and only one of them was even able to access the signal coming from the mic, but there was a horrible echo sound that I could not get rid of. Are there any settings that anybody can recommend that I look at? 1 star for now. Yes I reinstalled.

I was hoping to use this to record my phone calls on Google Voice, apparently the audio cuts out when a phone call is happening. It wouldn't even record my side of the conversation. So it didn't meet my needs. Edit: I am very familiar with NLL apps call recorders, and also Google's phone call recording limitations. on WhatsApp and GVoice calls, they will only pick up one side of the conversation so I was hoping for a workaround. I'm leaving this review to alert others that it won't work.

Absolutely the best voice recorder app that has ever existed! Even the free version is sufficient for most of the stuff. I just purchased the pro license because these guys deserved it :) There are absolutely no flaws or downsides to this application. And on the pro side it has everything: - Recording in MP3 format - Skipping silence (with adjustable level of background noise) - Storing files on sd card (a little hidden functionality - but exists) - Variable playback speed - much much more.... Really outstanding work, thanks guys!

I've been using this app only a few days, installed it because of a problem with a different recording app. I need to have good quality for recording live solo instrumentals & really like this so far. Great spectral response & flawless audio continuity. Only downside is that the app can't be installed on the phone's SD memory card. More importantly, the recordings, at least, need to be able to be stored on the SD since large files could potentially exceed the capacity of the device main storage.

Great recorder... but the previous version had an option to "refresh" the list of recordings, which is no longer available. So if I delete several recordings from my phone, I have to go into the app and also delete each recording individually if I don't want them to show up in list view. Not a huge deal but kind of inconvenient... This wasn't previously the case. Can you please bring back the "refresh" or "update list" option, whatever it was??

Overall a nice voice recording app. I mainly use to record our horn section at band rehearsals. Sound is good. The only suggestion would be the ability to transfer tags and the ability to cut recordings at the tagged spots. It's hard to send recordings to band members if it's 3 hours long and they are trying to find one specific song from that rehearsal. Thanks

It doesn't work anymore after new update. I tried everything in the settings, but it never save the recording anymore with auto stop enabled for 24 hours. I'm looking for another app, sadly. File splitting is not seamless. It stops recording for about 10-30 seconds. I missed very important moments of my recordings. It should split files every 24 hours, 2 hours is not enough.

Was great - Now subscription trash! Maybe if there was a pro version where we pay 1 fee 1 time, then it would be OK. There's no way I'm getting into a subscription for an audio recorder. Also, the new version is not as slick as the old one. I guess they tried to justify the subscription by beefing things up, but they've just made everything require more tapping and navigating and it takes longer to control the new bloated mess. In addition to all of that, they've removed features? Hard pass.

I just wanted to write and say that the developer is very responsive to emails! I've suggested a few things, hopefully they will get added, but as it stands, this is probably hands down the best high-quality recording app on Android! It has just the right amount of features, and not too many extraneous ones that I would never use. Thanks a bunch, and keep up the great work! By the way, is there a Beta available? Just out of curiosity one more question I did have, and I don't know if this is an LGv20 issue, or not, because another app has the same problem. But when attempting to record on that device even in Stereo, only the bottom microphone works, so it records in mono, and not in stereo. Not sure if that's because the lgv20 has three microphones? Or why that is. It's still great quality, because of course it's flac, but just wanted to point that out.

Been a good app thus far. Light use, but I can see it being a workhorse for me. My uses: Voice notes, recording on-location podcasts, and occasional songwriting. Love the feature set. I especially like the ability to set profiles. SUGGESTION (*NEED* for me): Show the active recording profile on screen. Right now, I have to open the profiles and re-select to be sure I'm on the right one.

After upgrading my phone, recordings WON'T update to my music library, THAT'S THE ONE REASON I BOUGHT THE LICENSE! From recording settings: "Add recordings to music library so other players can find them, too." Using Samsung Galaxy A32 FIX = 5-stars! Best app for recording ANYTHING. I've never had problems with it in the eight years that I've used it. It comes standard with several choices for recording formats, sample rate, and bitrate. Records in 2-channel stereo if your device has two mics.

My group is trying to record a podcast but this app randomly compresses the audio when we try to save. Sometimes a two and a half hour recording will save as an hour and a half. Sometimes two hours. Sometimes, the full time. It's happened on different phones on different days. Edited: Updated to three stars for the way the customer service has reached out. They have been very quick with responses and suggestions. I'm not sure we will be using this app in the future, but it is appreciated.

Used to really love this app! It was simplified, yet effective, it was intuitive, the quality of the recording was great. However, now I keep losing valuable recordings that I can't get back! The app just keeps inexplicably failing to save recordings when I finish them. No errors, just simply doesn't save. The new method of "importing" recordings to the library instead of just opening files is also defective too, it's constantly telling me the file cannot be found even though it hasn't moved

This app has been great for recording my college courses among other things. I had a few recordings that came out very hard to hear the professor on and realized turning on the background noise filter while trying to make a different type of recording was the culprit. Since it seems if there's only one voice out shouldn't be filtered out (mind you this was in early 2020 so it may be fixed now) that's the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.
