Can't get app to open. Four years later. And a different phone, reinstalled the app and for over 10 minutes it just says "loading........". Still a useless app. I'm a six year member. Love AAA. Just don't like the app. Edit: I did that. Uninstalled it 4 years ago when it wouldn't work. Tried installing the new app a few days ago and it still doesn't work. Zero stars.

Great way to see membership details on the go. However, the driver rating aspect of the app seems somewhat buggy. Like others, I get a lot of "hard braking" events, and while I understand that the standard of "hard braking" AAA uses is somewhat broad, I still get too many of them. When I open the trip overview, I notice multiple "hard braking" events clustered in one spot, and sometimes over what look like tens of feet! Until this is fixed, the snooping isn't worth it.

Doesn't show all of my trips, including the ones I know I've driven extra, extra carefully with. Also counts my car's auto start/stop as hard stops. And some of my drives have been categorized incorrectly. For example, some are listed as walking, on a bus, or passenger... other than that, I like the concept. Would also be nice to know how the grading works.

Disconnects frequently and does not track some trips. Requires frequent updates, installation and reinstallation. Hope it is worth the effort. Surely it could be improved? I received a notification that the app has been improved. However, it did not track my driving yesterday. Sometimes it identified me as a passenger when I am driving. I can change that, but I cannot add trips. Although I am not flagged for hard breaking or speeding, my score is 80??

Downloaded this for the 15% discount on insurance. It is supposed to monitor driving so you can earn larger discounts at renewal. It is completely inaccurate, though. It registers numerous instances of "hard braking" on every single trip, which don't actually happen. Also, my husband and I both had to download the app since we have 2 cars. However, we ride together every day. It shows different numbers on his trip vs mine, when we're in the same car. Just a way cheat you out of the discount.

The app interferes with my using other apps even though I sitting in a parking lot or in my own house. I have to close the onboard app so I can order takeout. Also, it does not record all my trips. The app shows in my task bar as running. Finally, it seems I get penalized for NOT driving or driving short distances. I'm retired so I don't generally go out. When I do go out, my stops are less than 5 miles away. Other reviews hold similar complaints. I'm hoping for fixes in an update.

If you are here to get Onboard discount using this app, let's me tell you it probably won't work. The app registers any slow down during driving as a "hard brake" event and count it as reckless driving. You don't have to slow down a lot, just a light tap on the brake will trigger it. It seems to trigger when there is 7-8mph change in one second, so the speed of you running on foot and then stop. Doing 60mph needs 8s to stop. It is just not possible. They made it that way to increase your rates.

I use it for the AAA OnBoard program... if this is suggested to you GET THE PHYSICAL DEVICE INSTEAD. The location service is shotty at best, and it tracks EVERY. RIDE. This is the second most annoying part, because every time you take an uber or ride with a friend, you have to remember to log in and tell the app you weren't driving, otherwise you are penalized if their driving is poor. Especially if you are calling a cab after a late night out, because you are "driving" during unsafe hours. The worst aspect of this app is it's battery consumption, which pretty much guarantees a 10% loss in battery per charge while it is running in the background. I'm sick of it and I'm calling them tomorrow for the other option, which won't kill my battery and only tracks my driving.

If you touch your phone in pocket or move it to dash etc., this app will count it as hard stops. Happened many times for me and sometimes even count it twice at the same spot?? Really annoying and there is no way to report/feedback/appeal and the next day your score will go down. Please fix this or provide mechanisms to appeal. it's getting worse!! After about a week of no events and supposedly score should go back up but instead it went down 3 points?? Really?? Changing to 0 star!!

The app is great, however, every time I make a 90°> turn where there is not a complete stop first, it will ding me for a hardbrake. It happens on the same streets frequently. I have read AAA's replies to other users about the GPS slow down calculation and the 'bag tipping over' example and can say with assurance that this is not always the case. Some sharp turns do not require a complete halt, but, if you don't slow to a crawl before the turn, you will be penalized for hardbraking.

Annoying battery draining app! This doesn't consider all short trips as car trips. You always need to double check after almost every trip to make sure the app calculated the trip correctly. If I keep the phone in the pocket while driving, it's ok. If I keep it on the dash or on the cup holder or the charging space, where the phone can easily move while driving (turning or slowly stopping at the stop sign), the app considers that as a hard stop. I'm not sure how reliable this app is.

Horrible. I hate it. It's constantly running and draining my battery even when I'm not using it. I can't get rid of the notifications from it and even after the stupid rating is completed, it still constantly asks for my location when i open it. You don't need my location all the time! Overall, the user interface is pretty easy, but the constant running in the background, the annoying notifications, and overall bulkiness of the app on my phone's OS isn't worth the download.

Sometimes, it says that I was the passenger and have no events. When I change it to I was the driver the app will say I had an event like hard breaking. I've taken screenshots and can prove it. For this reason I believe the app is programmed not to allow you to get a better score and is not accurate. Also, the app runs constantly and drains the battery on my phone. Furthermore, after I stop driving I can't use my phone for 5-10 minutes or the app will say I was distracted while driving.

App doesn't really make sense. Payments you can't schedule for a specific date because it will try to take the funds as soon as you click the payment button, nor do partial payments on your bill ahead of time. I emailed about this issue, and..... Nothing was said. It doesn't make sense if this app is supposed to make paying your bill easier, as suggested by the agent.

I've had the app as long as I've been with them, it use to work fantastic until this last year when the same card I've used can't ever be processed now. They tried saying it was the banks fault until I explained I pay other bills with the same card with no issue. Can't pay through the app at all with the only card I have, but if I call in it'll work with no issue even on the automated system, just a lot of hassle for something simple

I've downloaded this a couple of times just to keep having the same experience. I can't get to login page to upload my account. Initial popup is to add my zipcode that is connected to my address. Then I get a popup "oops something happened try again". I can't get in touch with anyone of the associate to assist. I have not rate to give this a app

It seems using cruise control is not a good idea. When go down hill auto picks up speed. Then when you level out the auto brakes to get speed back down to set speed. This breaking registers as hard breaking.what a terrible app. 4 hard braking in one 20 mile trip. not acurate. I have talked to someone associated with this app. And I am doing very good as long as I have at least 85%. But still unhappy with app. I just got 3 hard braking that is so inaccurate. Did not happen. This app is trash
