No hassle user friendly platform. Adequate original limit. Has helped me to rebuild credit after being left at the altar with no wedding insurance & getting laid off & losing everything. High interest rate, but not as bad as some & I've never had any problems with the app so I've never had to contact customer service. I'm completely satisfied! I've never requested an increase, so I'm not sure if that's easy to obtain or not. I have a moderate limit under $5k & I always pay early!

So far, so good. Definitely one of the better card apps I've used. It's simple to use and gives me all the info I need. Really like the option to essentially turn my card on and off. If you're having difficulties with it, I'd suggest going to their website as a temporary alternative. App problems are typically just that; app problems. Definitely mention your app issues here, though.

User interface is simple and easy to navigate. Finger scan or password are both nice. No problems so far. Update.... Paid first bill via the app using my bank account. 4 days later the payment was returned and I was charged for a return payment. There was a "malfunction in the system" that somehow determined my bank account was not valid and returned the same payment to the same account. If the account was not valid the funds would not have transferred.

So I've tried everything, and they've made this impossible to get my documents turned in. I went through several phone calls with them, and they have confirmed, that if your ID can't be scanned, you can't be helped. The problem is, their trash software in the web browser will not refocus. So my ID always looks way too blurry. If I manually take the pics, they are crystal clear, but then they are never accepted, so there's no point to even try that. None of the other 4 browsers I tried work also.

This app doesn't list your transactions or update the credit limit after a purchase. It doesn't even list when payments are due. Having to call to customer service for that. An App is suppose to be convenient, this one isn't. I guess I'm just spoiled by the more well built credit card Apps. If you have this app you will be calling customer service more than you should have to.

I'm still unsure of the Autopay option. The app states its active but in red there's a sentence that appears and says Autopay will begin at the end of my next billing cycle. It has said this for the past couple months so I don't know if I trust it. I don't want to be late on payments. Otherwise I love Avant! The website is super easy to use and very secure. All your needed information at your fingertips. Excellent credit card for anyone looking to rebuild their credit. No program fees either!

This is the worst card I have and will probably cancel it as soon as I pay off the balance. My payment reflected on my account balance but not on the available credit. That takes longer to update (up to 10 days). According to the FAQ's you can set up push notifications in the settings. I was just told that notifications aren't available and I should check my account frequently on the app. Really??!!

Went to use my card to buy some items from Amazon for a fairly small amount ($122.00) and they declined my purchase due to "fraud concerns". No call, text or email to have me verify the purchase before declining it. I had a zero balance, so it wasn't a lack of available credit or anything like that. I'm new to Avant, but they need to get it together and start verifying the purchases before declining any transactions or I'll be paying the card off and cutting it up soon.

I really love this new version!! It's super fast simple agile intuitive and everything is within reach ( card lock, transaction history payments etc). I have Apps from all major banks and credit cards and this is by far de best. Only thing missing is cash back rewards info, for that I have to log on the web version. Other than that and that it can't be added to ApplePay I rate it 5 stars. I wish I had higher credit limit :)

The application could benefit from some enhancements. It would be advantageous to display payment dates and amounts on the main page, eliminating the need to click "view". Additionally, despite my consistent punctuality in payments over the past three to four years, there have been no increases in the credit limit. the option to increase in the credit limit would be greatly appreciated.

every part of the process has been smooth except for when I had to call in when my card got locked trying to use it to get gas at Sam's club and Costco. The person on the other end of the phone did not seem to be very capable. I also got some weird message that just played randomly that sounded like someone hanging up on me. The issue eventually did get resolved but it seemed a little shaky

Not a great card, but it works. They won't increase my credit limit beyond 500, at 32% with a $39 annual fee. My credit isn't Tier 1, but payment history is immaculate. I have other cards with 5 and 7 thousand dollar limit, and FICO is fairly decent (660-ish). Bank Routing and account number payments only. No debit available, even if I call the number below. I'd cancel if I could take the hit to my credit score.

Avant has been wonderful for building my credit. EDIT- have to change my review because customer service is almost non existent when you are trying to actually reach someone. It answers gives you your balance and payment due information you push zero for anything else and it just rings and no one ever answers it. There is also nowhere to send an email or message or get any kind of communication other than the phone number they won't answer.

I have had avant for over a year without problem. Except for the past couple of days. I have been trying to get onto the app from my phone and when I go to log in it says to download a new version so I fo bit it goes complete white screen and nothing happening. Been really happy with this card/company other then this one thing just makes it more difficult to make payments and keep track of

April 2, 2024: Great starting out line of credit, the app is user friendly, and the option to use debit card or ACH for payment is nice. Unfortunately Avant does not allow Google or Apple pay. There is no option to set up mobile, email, and push alerts and that is a serious security concern which should be resolved immediately. Very high interest rate so I recommend paying the balance in full each month. I will give an update in 60 days. Let's resolve those issues and shoot for five stars!

While it allows me to track my loan, it doesn't allow me to make one time payments or principal payments.like other apps such as Klarna, Affirm, Avant, Lending Club and other personal finance apps. I occasionally like to pay down principal when I'm financially ahead. Since this app only allows payments scheduling and balance viewing it doesn't do anything email or phone calls won't.

It is not easy to navigate the app, my main issue is with auto pay. The app does not have a clear easy button to set up auto pay for idiots like me. They have a preset value for my auto pay that I cannot change in order to make a larger payment so I have to manually pay my bill every month. This is a trick to siphon money from poor people in the way of fees, if this isn't the case then they should make it EASY to set up auto pay. I will probably pay this card off and then cancel my account.

Simple...and that is the truth. Can't set a higher minimum payment, can't change personal information without calling or emailing. And, they lowered my credit limit for no reason, then when the horrible customer service told me they could do nothing about it after escalating to management, they later automatically restored it, then raised it shortly after. Guess they then noticed my absolutely perfect payment history. Great stepping stone, horrible creditor.

Doesn't work. Not even sure why I opened a credit card with them if their apps don't work. Every time I open the app or says "download update" and then goes to a white screen and doesn't do anything else. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, waited MULTIPLE minutes for something to happen.... So far the only thing I've successfully done was activate the card the vet first time I opened the app and then I've never been able to use it again for WEEKS now. I'll be closing my account with them ASAP.

I am often prompted to update the app, but when I try to, the app freezes. No other credit card apps freeze. Update: July 1, 2024 I needed to update my phone number. I can't simply do it in the app. I had to call and go through the prompt system. The person who I spoke to was short and rude, reading rapidly from a script. The app is still lousy.
