More About aWallet Password Manager

• Securely stores your passwords, credit card information, e-banking credentials, web accounts and other custom data.
• There is a built in Editor for changing or creating new data Categories with custom icons.
• Search within fields.
• Contains no advertisements.
• Supports backup and restore of the encrypted data file to the Android USB device.
• Export of unencrypted data in CSV format to the USB device.
• There is an Auto lock feature that can be preconfigured for a specific period of time.

PRO FEATURES, available via single In-app billing payment:
• Unlock with fingerprint (on a compatible device with Android 6)
• Unlock with face (on a compatible device with Android 10 or later)
• Password Generator
• CSV Import

SECURITY FEATURES
• All data is encrypted, including Entry names, Category definitions and the data itself. Even the choice of Favorite Category is encrypted.
• Encrypts data using AES or Blowfish algorithms with key sizes of 256, 192 or 128 bits.
• When the data file is decrypted, up to all combinations of algorithm and key size are tried with the Master password to unlock the data file. The app itself does not store any hint to the actual cipher or key size.
• Uses a randomly generated 'salt' combined with the Master password. Salt helps to protect from off-line dictionary attacks.
• The key to open the data file is created by combining your master password with the 512-bit 'salt'. The result is hashed 1000 times by SHA-256. Repetitive hashing makes a brute force attack more difficult.
• Supports auto destruction of the data file after a predefined number of unsuccessful unlocks have been tried.
• Unlike other similar Android apps aWallet has no internet access permission (forever). The only permissions this app has is to access to the USB device to backup/restore the data file in case you lose your phone. USB device access is also needed to export to CSV file format. Permission is also granted to the Google Play billing service to allow for the optional purchase of the aWallet Pro features.

I reported a problem I was having with the app (on a holiday) and the developers responded the very next day with the fix. One of my categories had somehow started showing the password when browsing through the list. Problem solved. Thank you.. 5 stars.

I brought the pro version a year ago. The porduct description said i only had to pay once. Well its' not true. A minute ago my finger print unlock fuction was disable and I was ask to pay again in order to recover the unlock feature. Totally disappointed. i

Been using this app for almost 7-8 years and was able to save the data file safely. Whenever I get new cellphone I'm able to restore the data file with ease. But been wondering it it's safe to use and can this be hacked??? Planning to go for Awallet Cloud Manager.

This app is really amazing. Easy to use, friendly UI IMO & Best part is the developer response. I got an issue and I sent an email, expecting for the worst that I'll get really really late response or even no response. But instead, I got my problem solver in same day. Definitely deserve 5-Stars TYSM & I Hope you developed more apps.

I've used this app for 10 years and I've had it completely reset on me 3 times in the last two. This time right after I left home and started a week long trip, so not even a backup can help me until I get back home.

It's a great app to have. Saves your information safely. I still write down in a book all of the applications that I have on my phone, just in case I lose my phone or apps, sort of like a hardcopy backup. When I get a new phone, not always does everything transfer over .

Followed steps to back up and tried to use data.cypt on another device, the app kept telling wrong password. Update: thanks it's working. Just a little suggestion, you may add a logic to detect the existing of old backup, if found, make the app to delete the old one and recreate the new one. Overall, this is a great app.

love the app but lately it's been crashing everytime I try to backup the data file or CSV. says "files is stopping". what can be done!? Edit: I disabled the Google app called "files" and now the error pop-up just says "this app has a bug. try updating it after the developer fixed it" another Edit: oh yeah, I restarted my phone over and over again but the problem remains. I cannot seem to create a backup file. although the "files is stopping" pop up is gone for good. now aWallet just crashes

I dunno if I've ever reviewed an app before but I'll take the time to do it since 1) creators made is super easy to do so 2) actually useful app I switched from iphone to Android and needed an easy stash for my passwords. This solved so many problems: separate sections (accounts, credit cards, banking, create ur own, etc); master password; timeout lock; fully customizable; user friendly interface Would download again 10/10

I love this app, it is simple and i never buy any apps, i only stick to the free ones. But after 10 months of using this app, im now going too upgrade to the upgraded one. That way no matter what i can save my stuff to the cloud and take my personal info everywhere with me, at all times. You have to re-save all your passwords again to your new device if you get one. But the upgraded app you can download it and simply log in, and they appear, no more stress, and no more worries. Love this app

Great little password safe. I've been using this for a long time. Requires no network permissions at all, there is no crypto header present in the file, so it's a custom implementation. This is hardened enough that I feel safe having my passwords on my phone, right next to my authenticator. Tossing around getting the cloud version, but I would really want the back up in my 1drive vault, because it requires an extra authenticator log in to open.

I loved this app until I changed my master password. I changed it, so that I would remember it when I switched to fingerprint access. I wrote it down, so I wouldn't forget if the fingerprint should fail. When the app updated, the fingerprint access were not available and I came back to the play store to see if others had it happen, and what to do. The creators say, you forgot your master password, so that is your fault. Update: no, the master password did not work. Yes, I tried that. Deleting.

Worked well for years. After phone update, suddenly my fingerprints and master password don't work. Now I've completly lost access to hundreds of passwords I've stored over the past several years! Other recent reviews mention the same exact issue but replies from the developer seem to suggest they forgot their password... Well I'm 100% certain I didn't forget it! THE APP FAILED and until that is acknowledged and fixed this app cannot be relied upon!

First I would like to say the ewallet app is awsome. I have purchased and installed it on my Samsung phone and iPad. It's a really good app. However, there us one thing that I wished they would do differently. I want to export my ewallet contents to my iPad. The issue is that the csv file is automatically saved to a location on my Android device where it can only be accessed by connecting my phone to a computer. There needs to be an option to save the file to my file folder on my phone so I ca

it's an amazing app to store sensitive info that is local to your phone. just remember to back it up if you change phones or else you'll lose it all unless you upgrade to the cloud version. I choose not to do the cloud version bc I don't want to store sensitive info elsewhere. It does what it's intended to do brilliantly.

I have been using awallet for years. This year I bought a new phone was was able to transfer all my passwords using the export feature. Having a ton of devices requiring passwords, it is good to have something like awallet to store them in. My recommendation; export your passwords and store them on your PC in the event you have to change phones. Update that exported file periodically to stay current. It would be nice if the program included a quarterly or semi-annual reminder feature.😊

Great password backup app. Especially useful are the customization options (set up your own categories and also the information--data fields--you want to include, and which fields will be encrypted). Biometric option to open app is also great. _____ Only one small complaint: I wish it would request my password/biometric info when it first opens (as every other app I have does) rather than requiring I tap on an option first. It just adds a cumbersome extra step every time I open it.

password locker that is not connected to the cloud so it makes it less vulnerable to cyber attacks. Love the edit mode to choose the content in each category. You will need to pay for full access that way you can save a cryptic file with all your info and transfers it to another drive. Old school but works like a charm and the pricing is not ridiculous.

**Response from the developer worked. A little of a hassle since Android 11, but probably not something they can control. Thanks! Updating to 5 stars! One issue, otherwise great app. I've used this for many years. With the latest Android 11 update, the app no longer creates a backup in the normal Android folder. When I search for the name of the backup file it creates, there's no results, even when I use the option to show hidden files.

USB transfer of data corrupts the data file. It's a real shame that the offline method for backing up and restoring data doesn't work for Android 10 and older. The whole reason I use this app and not the cloud version is to keep my information offline, and now if I want to transfer all my passwords to a new device, I have to use a separate, third-party app and do it over Wi-Fi. Really disappointing that USB transfer doesn't work.
