More About BAND for Kids
- Kids can get started by following these three steps:
1) Download BAND for Kids app to a mobile phone or tablet.
2) Use an email address to sign up (parent consent is required).
3) Join a private Band by parents or guardian invitation.
â—† How parents and kids communicate together safely:
- Kids cannot join groups they were NOT invited to.
- Parents can monitor which group their kids have joined.
- Parents can follow their children’s BAND activity by also joining their groups.
â—† Safer environment for kids to communicate:
- No harassment from strangers.
- No advertisements and in-app purchases.
- Kids cannot create or invite themselves to Bands/Pages.
- Kids cannot search or join public Bands.
â—† Available features for kids:
- Admin of the Band can determine which features are available to the Kids users.
- With BAND for Kids, adolescent users can publish posts on the Community Board and attach files, images, or videos to the posts. They can also chat with other members of their Bands.
â—† Accessibility:
- BAND for Kids is available on any device including smart phones, tablets, and PC.
â—† Private and Secure
- BAND has acquired the SOC 2 and 3 certificates for its privacy protection and ISO/IEC27001 Certification for outstanding information security management systems.

Charging parents to prove we are an adult to let us use this app is pointless and stuiped. I don't understand why this app makes you pay for something to prove you are the parent, so give us money. Really dumb and not worth my time.

I am trying to set up supervision to my son's account. I've created the access code on my phone. It is a mix of letters and digits for the two parts. When I go to my son's phone to enter it, the first box says digits and doesn't allow me to enter any letters.

I can not sign my child up for an account, despite paying the "micro-transaction" (which none of his teachers knew anything about). I already paid the fee, yet the app wants me to confirm again by paying the fee, again.

I have tried multiple times to get this installed on my daughter's phone, so that she can talk to her teammates. It hasn't worked yet, even after I I was charged 50 cents 2 different times, trying to get this fixed. Needs some work!

While the app itself is great, after you reach the age it deems not a child, it will display a pop up, and eventually not allow you to access your bands until you download the band app.
