I'm a total newb to bass the instrument. This has been my goto app for making sure I'm in tune Everytime I pick the bass up for practice. the only bummer was I was required to leave this review to continue using the app. Clearly I must value this tool. At least as long as this verbose 5 star review is.

Truly excellent program. allows non standard tunings - drop D or semitone lower. Also, much more sensitive than and graphic than my old mechano-electronic device.

I've been using this tuner for over a year now, really reliable and tunes well. only issue is the moment there are other sounds in the background it really struggles.

The very rare example of an app on the Play Store that truly is just a damned good app. It doesn't force you to watch ads, doesn't steal your data, doesn't say "pay to unlock alternate tunings". It just works. Amazing.

This is just what your looking for. It either auto selects the string or you can just touch the string that your working on and it gives you a graphical version of a needle frequency gage. Easy to use and no compelling you to buy a thing that costs a monthly subscription amount.

First app I found that actually registers the B string on my bass. Easy to use and simple GUI. Free, no ads, no bs, and it has a dark mode so you don't have to burn your eyes out. 5/5 [edit] After further use there are definitely issues with lower registers. I'm aware this is more an issue of hardware, so the app still gets 5/5. Just don't expect it to work well with an extended rage instrument, and definitely don't blame the app or developer(s).
