Every single time be real goes off, the same thing happens in the same order. First, the apple open to a blank screen. So I have to close up of the app immediately after I open it. Second, it will pull up to take the be reel, so I take a picture, and as soon as I send it, it immediately brings me to the home screen and never uploads my photo. Third, then I actually take the be real that will upload. The minimalist social media, seems to be a little bit more than I want.

I love BeReal. I use it every day! It was really frustrating when it was glitchy for a bit there. I was often late to post because my app wouldn't open. It gets my location wrong most of the time, but that doesn't really matter. I enjoy sending my friends a peek into my days and getting a glimpse of theirs. It helps me feel connected to people i dont live near.

It's a great app, and I love the concept. However, lately when I tap the notification to post, I'll take a photo but it won't post. I have to reload the app and do it again, with the risk of it being a late BeReal. This has happened a few times. Frustrating because it kind of ruins the moment. I'll give this app a five-star rating if and when it's fixed. :)

No longer fun. When the app consistently fails to launch, fails to notify, fails to take a picture, or fails to actually post, it no longer is worth the time or effort. None of my friends are using the app any longer because of these issues. I've requested an archive of my data and I'm done using it. Such a bummer, it was really a new and fun idea for awhile.

UPDATE: they said they fixed this in the newest update; no they didn't. It's honestly WORSE since it deletes on-time posts now. again, this app has 1 main function and it can't even do it. OG post: I want to like BeReal. I get notifications on time, but the app won't launch. when it does, I post my BeReal, it's like it doesn't post anything. I have to force close and restart the app, miss the 2 minute window for posting. it's infuriating that the app won't even function like it's supposed to.

Great concept, but execution gets worse with every update they push out. I need to retake my bereal 2-3 times before it posts, I can't go into the app from a notification or it crashes, it regularly freezes and needs to be restarted, overall just poorly maintained. - to the devs, I have the most recent version of the app, still have the issue.

This app was great for awhile but recently it's been taking forever to load when I take the pictures and it won't let me click on any notification I get, it just takes me to a black screen. When it's time to bereal I take a picture then it deletes it and tells me to post a late bereal and only gives me negative numbers for the countdown. I really hope everything can be fixed.

I love bereal, they fixed the screen difficulty on mine, but now I don't even hear the notifications. For example I'll have my phone in my pocket and my notifications settings all the way up so I can post on time and I won't even hear it and I'll have to post late, if appreciate it if you'd fix this, I have no idea why it is doing this but other than that it's my favorite app!!

When I take a BeReal it doesn't post then I have to post a new one late. BeReal goes off at the same time everyday, it never goes off later in the day anymore. When I click on the notification it opens up a black screen and I have to open and close the app multiple times to get it to work. It never works through the notification anymore. Everyone I know with BeReal is having the same issues.

I really do enjoy this app, but it's just been so buggy. I've stopped using the bts feature earlier this year because it would never load and post pictures with it. Recently, whenever I try to open the notification I get a black screen and I have to close it and reopen it. Then when I take a photo it doesn't save it, and I have to take it again before it actually posts. This has been persisting for a couple weeks. If these issues persist I might have to get rid of the app permanently ://

I love this app and love using it to see a snippet of my friends' lives. Recently, though, the app has been really glitch. Often, they don't save my BeReal and even if I am on time, I will need to retake my BeReal, making it late. There are also times when my BeReal doesn't load and has lost me my streak showing that I haven't posted at all. I would love the app a whole lot more if it completed the basic function it's supposed to without constant glitches.

Broken experience. After re-installing a few times to make sure it want my pixel 7 pro, I'm here to state that posting is broken. Over the last month or so, I've routinely experienced posting failures where I take my photo in the 2-minute window, the little upload animation happens, and then it shows the don't forget to take your daily window. If I take it a second time it usually goes through. It's super annoying especially when I'm trying to capture something in that brief 2-minute window.

Fix it!! Edit: Same complaint as others. Clicking on the notification brings you to a black screen. Multiple restarts to get into the app. Then will not save photo. If there is a countdown, it takes multiple tries and post for it to stick, sometimes in time, other's not. Just trying to open from app will just have a black screen. Friends with app experience the same.

What has happened to this app? I used it for a month or two and loved it but recently it's become borderline unusable. I have to refresh the app several times to get past a black screen, and at that point I'm usually late to post on time. Even then, a lot of the time I have to try multiple times to get it to take a picture. There's also odd visual glitches, resharing not working correctly, my friends having app features that I don't... It's just a huge mess and I really hope you fix it soon.

I love the idea of this app and have convinced many friends to download it, but every time I tap the notification on time, my post just disappears. Sometimes this happens multiple times in a row. Sometimes I just get a black screen. Sometimes I just get a "something went wrong" which is not only frustratingly nondescript, but to get that while I'm getting the "time running out" haptic feedback is just too much.

I like BeReal! It's so fun! Although I wish there were more options for music apps to connect. I don't use spotify but I use Amazon Music. Also, the app is very very glitchy with letting me open the app. Recently I've been very frustrated trying to access my memories. I can't find some of the extra BeReals that I took and would like to save. On some, the BTS doesn't save and sometimes the app counts as late even when I post on time. I really enjoy this app though and am willing to see past it.

A really fun app that keeps our family connected but it needs some glitches/bugs addressed. Nearly every time the notification is made, I immediately open the app to take my picture. I take the picture and hit send. it behaves as though it's sending but when it shows the feed, everything is blurry. So, I have to do it again, sometimes multiple times, often late. Other than that issue, it's a great idea.
