BHIM UCO UPI-Unified Payment Interface allows customers to Pay/Collect money using Virtual Private Address. Virtual Private Address is unique for each customers account. Customer can download the UPI app and install it in device(Mobile/ Tablets). While doing the registration, UPI app communicates with NPCI in encrypted data format. The customer has to create virtual address and complete profile information. The customer can add UPI enabled Bank accounts based on their Mobile Number registered in banks. After adding the bank account, it has to verified using debit card information and set MPIN using OTP. After debit card verification, the customer can pay/collect to other bank accounts. The customer can do the balance enquiry. UPI uses IMPS as underlying base. The customer can use P2P(using MMID and Mobile of Remitter), P2A(using IFSC and account), P2U (AAdhar payments) and VPA(Virtual Private Address) for doing payments. The customer can initiate collect request to other UPI customer. It will appear in Collect Authorisation option where user can accept or reject requests. The transaction history shows details of all payment and collect requests. Using Add beneficiary, the customer can add beneficiary of other banks for doing payments.
The Unified Payment Interface allows payments to be initiated by the payer, or by the payee. In the basic payee initiated flows, the payment request is routed by the initiating application through the NPCI switch to the payer for approval. However, in certain instances, where it is possible to connect with the payer immediately, it is preferred that the payee sends a payment request to the payer, who can then initiate the payment request with his credentials.
Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is an architecture and a set of standard APIs to facilitate the next generation online immediate payments leveraging trends such as increasing smartphone adoption, Indian language interfaces, and universal access to Internet and data. UPI is launched by National Payments Corporation of India with Reserve Bank of India's vision of migrating towards a 'less-cash' and more digital society. NPCI has built on the Immediate Payment Service(IMPS) platform through which one could transfer money instantly by going online-by adding another layer that allows easy debit capability even on mobile phones.
Bank as a part of digital banking, is introducing QR code for its BHIMUCOUPI. This will facilitate in leveraging quick fund transfer and healthy replacement of PoS (Point of Sale).

whats the point if you cant even do mobile recharges with this app?... we need an app that we can trust to give our upi credentials with so we can do recharges and stuff...but our own bank doesn't allow us to do mobile/dth recharges?...why not? is it really that hard to develop a full fledged upi app?

Worst app. Can't use upi service as it asks to set upi id but when I try to set upi id it shows you have exceeded limit of VPA creation. Even I can't use my old VPA as well.

[ For security reasons, your bank freezes your account for 24 hours after your first UPI payment is approved. During this freeze period, all payments will be declined by your bank. Try again after 24 hours from the time of your first payment approval.] I don't want to use these apps anymore, because what will I do with the app if there is no transaction.

This is the worst app ever. For the last couple of days, this stupid app doesn't work at all. What is the use of an app if you cannot use it's service right? Instead of keeping money in a stupid bank, it's better to take it out and find smarter places to keep. No use of this at all.

Login to your app is not happening. The problem has been coming since many days. Please update your app. Neither able to login nor vpa address is working. Even if someone transmits From another app, error showing that vpa address is incorrect.

Worst experience, i have two accounts one is saving other is current.. mobile nmbr is same in both the accounts... And this is the reason i am not able to link my bank account to this app.. it simply gives msg multiple cust id with same number... Rather it should show my both accounts and let me choose which account to link ..

Most bogus application. After login following registration, there I found no UCO a/c in my name. There is no option how can I enter a/c no.manually also. If there I found 'UCO BANK' then after entering the name it shows only one thing " VALIDATION_ERR" and nothing else. I tried so many times but failed all the time. So I uninstalled and deregister the application.

Every time when you reinstall the app, it asks to create new UPI ID and if you proceed with previous UPI ID it says ID already exist. After two attempts of installing and uninstalling the app, my UPI ID has been blocked and can't use the uco UPI app. Worst UPI app ever.

I have recently installed this app. I am trying to set UPI PIN but every time it fails whereas all other internet based apps are working! It gives a message saying "Failure U09- Time Out"

To register you need to use mobile data, in step two SMS is sent from your registered mobile number, but your app stops functioning from here, no option to attach screen shot else would have let you know glitch in your app where it does not recognize SIM card so I am uninstalling this futile app

Can't use UPI, even though my account is linked with my phone number. Constantly getting an error, "B2, account linked with multiple names". Customer care not responding, zonal officer is never available have raised 4 complains on the website with zero response, the first one raised on August, 2018.

Govt. bank, govt. type work. Even this app is govt. Logging it with correct pin freezes. What an useless app. They've disabled IMPS because of problem in their backend now seems they've disabled UPI as well... And all without any information to the customers.

Please do some cosmetic update. This app is very minimalist, which is a good thing. Remove some unnecessary features. Default VPA should be 10 digit mobile number not 12 digit. All transactions should be under one unified list. Bank logos should be added. Most importantly fingerprint login should be implemented.

First, all transactions are getting failed, second I go to approval/transaction status and can't even see the details. When the world's pushing for digital transaction and digitalising banking, this application makes me want to stand in a queue for an hour only for the bank officer to go for lunch and come back an hour later and then I'll have to wait half an hour more and I wouldn't mind it.. absolutely terrible experience

This app is really annoying as if phone is connected to wifi it will say sim mismatch and u have to verify again by turning off wifi and after 2-3 attempts to verify it blocked verification sms for 24 hours so one can not use app for whole 24 hours

It says hooking application detected. com.joeykrim.rootcheck Something like this. I don't know what it means but as soon as I open the app it displays this message, can't proceed due to it , fix it please. Obviously I am a new user it is a bad experience

Very bad experience 😡. After logging in and after the debit card details filling app shows no card record found which is wrong. I have valid and fully working debit card. After that I tried to complaint them through email but they never responded. Pathetic service from UCO BANK.

I just cant get my user id unlocked. It got locked because I entered the wrong pin and now it seems there is no way back. Even trying to reset the MPin does not work as it says my user id is locked. Worse I cannot deregister and start afresh. Is there a way out? Less said about the customer care email the better. Cant come up with a working answer after many many iterations. They just dont seem to understand the issue.

3rd class app... most of the time it doesnt work. Most of the time the server is down and you can not login. sometimes unnecessary prompt to reset upi ID which I did. and now none of the IDs can be used. if you try to use a previous one it says... I have exhausted maximum number of change. an organisation needs world class jokers to create such an idiotic software

Device registration is not happening. While registering SMS comes to mobile but fetching the OTP failing. Thus bhim registration for UPI is failing. Tried several times since several months but unsuccessful. Even the customer care number is not connecting. The worst app ever. Hope the developer/UCO Bank find this review and resolve the issue.
