BibleProject is a nonprofit, crowdfunded organization that produces 100% free Bible videos, podcasts, blogs, classes, and educational Bible resources to help make the biblical story accessible to everyone everywhere.
From page one to the final word, we believe the Bible is a unified story that leads to Jesus. This diverse collection of ancient books overflows with wisdom for our modern world. As we let the biblical story speak for itself, we believe the message of Jesus will transform individuals and entire communities.

Many people have misunderstood the Bible as a collection of inspirational quotes or a divine instruction manual dropped from Heaven. Most of us gravitate toward sections we enjoy while avoiding parts that are confusing or even disturbing.

Our Bible resources help people experience the Bible in a way that is approachable, engaging, and transformative. We do this by showcasing the literary art of the Scriptures and tracing biblical themes from beginning to end. Rather than taking the stance of a specific tradition or denomination, we create materials to elevate the Bible for all people and draw our eyes to its unified message.

Still frustrated that the app doesn't save progress for Android. I love the Journey *content*, but because the app doesn't save my progress I have to re-mark things as "played" every time I return to study more. It's getting quite cumbersome and I find myself not wanting to use the app. I know it's being worked on, it's just frustrating to wait.

This is a great app! But it's true, it NEVER SAVES YOUR PROGRESS! So please fix that. I do wish there was music, like maybe just background music, or Christian music included it the app, because that can be hard to find. But I'm amazed as to how much they fit in the app for Free, not to mention ANY adds!!! So download this app, you won't regret it!

I love the Bible Project and I love the idea behind this app. There seems to be a couple bugs currently, but hopefully they're resolved soon. One is I have to "connect my account" every time I open the app, and then choose to save my progress to my account. There doesn't seem to be an option to remember me or stay logged in. Also every time I do this, it doesn't remember some of my progress, specifically the videos I've watched, so I have to rewatch the video to unlock the skills I already have

The resources and structure are fantastic. Compared to the iOS app though, this is one is frustrating. The Android app (I'm using a Google Pixel 3) does not allow me to sync my progress or download content. While it does give me the option to, each day I come back to the app everything is gone, I am asked to log back in, and none of my progress syncs. The iOS app (on my iPad) does all of this well.

Loving this but the app will not allow me to complete the scripture links so I can complete my "circle" which is driving me crazy. I've competed everything but it won't allow me to finish. Also, as others have said, videos need to rotate for easier viewing and would be nice if it saved where I left off reading within an article or on the Bible so I don't need to remember and scroll. The layout and content is awesome! Thank you!

Exactly what we need, with a few bugs. App doesn't seem to be maintaining log in state. Props to connect account, login, and sync each time. Should have biometric support, and should know whether you've logged in before. Other than the bugs, I'm confident that this app will grow into being the most powerful learning tool in a Christian's arsenal. Can't wait to see where it goes! What we already have is amazing.

I love all of the information and features about this app. However, I am having a few problems. The most annoying one is that none of my progress is saved and the app doesn't remember me after I have logged in. Every time I open the app it asks me to log in again. After logging in, none of my progress has been saved. Another problem I have been having is the skills tab. The app closes whenever I try to open the skills tab. It wasn't like this initially, only over this last week.

It is a good library, one stop shop, for all of the excellent videos they've made. I'm having trouble with the study portion. It logs me out every time i close the app and does not keep track of my progress. I also am not sure if it adds anything to my traditional Bible study other than hours and hours of podcast content, but i might be missing something.

I think this app has a lot of potential, although it appears there are inconsistencies still being worked out. After the bug of my progress not being saved (which they are working on), my next concern is how confusing toggling between studies can be. I'm never sure if "return to study" means the movement I'm on or the adjacent theme it is focusing on. I'm also unsure of how to collect all the tokens for the themes, only 8 of 12 are in the first movement. I'd love for there to be more clarity.

Great, but... I'm having issues with things I've completed staying completed... I have to go back through and mark them as done to keep track where I left off at. I also got confused at one point because there were many "mini folders" to get lost in during the middle of a study. This is a great app though for those who learn with visuals!

I agree with the other reviews that content wise it's great, but the layout is confusing, and even after signing in (since I don't stay signed in), it forgets what I've done so I have to redo to show that it's been completed. It will also not allow me to advance in the text - if I select "forward," the chapter up top changes, but the text itself remains the same. Potential favorite app if the content could be presented in a more streamlined, straightforward way, and the bugs could be fixed.

Love the idea of bringing all their content into one app and tracking what I've seen so far as well as guided tracks through their material. But it's too bad there's some crucial bugs in this initial release. I get logged out every time I close the app, I can't view posters, and there's no indication of if you're logged in or not. Pretty basic things for an initial release. Not being able to view videos in landscape is a very odd choice. Hope things get fixed soon to reach it's full potential!

Just installed and started the app. I love the idea of "hyperlinking" the Bible texts etc. to the videos. It would be nice if when I clicked on "Read in Bible" that the video would automatically pause at that place until I returned. It is possible to pause the video and then go to the Bible reading, which I will use as a workaround. I was unable to link to the 50 minute "tale of two trees" podcast when I clicked on it. The app hung at that point and I could not return without closing out and reopening the app. Nevertheless, I love the idea, and given how many platforms and operating systems this has to work with, I am sure those things will get ironed out.

Beautiful app. Lil buggy. When playing podcasts through the app, pausing, extended play, skipping, fast forwarding, or rewinding an episode can cause the app to crash. The app also queues the cpu of the phone to run at a higher than normal capacity and drains the battery. Finally, the app doesn't allow you to stay logged via your bible project account. You have to manually log in each time you launch the app.

Love the app so far. Love how everything is organized and love the resource links. Wish that when you click on the videos it would keep my phone open, as my phone doesn't register that it is in use when the videos are playing. There are also a few other bugs, like opening up the podcast links and not being able to scroll back up to the listed notes while the podcast is playing. Overall very nice layout and app design. Very user friendly, great launch!

What an awesome surprise! I'm leaving 4 stars because there's a couple issues, but it being version 1.0 I understand a few bugs and issues. Here's my personal list: - I have to log in every time I open the app, having it remember me so I can get in immediately would be nice. - The progress when I watch videos doesn't save, but quizes do. My ocd on that progress meter is driving me crazy. - Being able to select from different translations of the bible would be nice as well.

This isn't a complaint. Just something to bring to the makers attention 😊 when I click "forward" in reading the Scripture, up top the chapter numbers change. But the actual reading is still stuck in Genesis 1. No big deal, I can read it in another Bible but just wanted to make you all aware 😊 thank you for this app. I've been wanting to have a way to follow certain threads and themes through the Bible.

I have absolutely LOVED this app! The journey has been incredible thus far, and I have already learned a lot of things that I never knew before. This app has definitely helped me grow in my faith, and for that I thank you! If there was any complaints I had about the app though, it would be that it doesn't seem to want to track my progress in the reading, and podcasts just cut out sometimes and don't save your place. Not big issues though!

So many great things happening in this app! I'm very excited about where it is headed. Like others, finding some technical difficulties with using it. I'm on Android and playing videos and podcasts is very frustrating. It doesn't save progress, so if I don't listen/watch it in one sitting, I have to try and find my spot again. Also, it seems to have trouble playing when I fast-forward through a section I've already listened to. I keep resorting to listening on my podcast player and YouTube.

It's a bit buggy, but it's also been less than a month since it launched, so it's definitely understandable. It has a few problems sending me through the little tutorial text boxes multiple times, remembering if I've completed something or not, and stopping randomly. For a first launch though, it's really good. It's streamlined, the idea is fantastic, it's not too buggy to use (just a little frustrating sometimes), and it gives a wonderfully convenient way to get my Bible study time in.
