When I applied for the Bilt card I was under the impression that I'd be able to manage my account ENTIRELY via the Bilt app, only to find out after being approved that I need both the Bilt and WF apps. How the apps work together isn't straightforward at all. Both apps need full financial information to fulfill partial banking duties that one app should reasonably be able to fulfill alone. Update: Awful service over the phone. Agent just hung up on me after I fought my way through the auto VM.

Absolute trash, the latest update tries to trick you into applying for their credit card. This company is a total scam and shame on any rental using this. We will never move into a complex that uses this. Ours transfered to this site 3 years after moving in. They try to track your credit. They data farm your checking/savings accounts and they they try to ding you further by tricking you to sign up for a credit card you never wanted. Complete scam.

DO NOT USE THIS APP!!! IT'S A SCAM!!!! I used it for a year to build my credit, and now it's actually lower. I always do all the payments on time. After a year passed, for lease renewal, they actually closed your account and is reported to the credit bureau. Your score will go down from 10 to 50 points or more. BE AWARE!!! DO NOT USE THIS APP!!!

Signed up for the card. I'm paying rent, so may as well get the points. A bit wary after hearing about the fraud charges and the logistics of getting a check mailed. That said, the 3 star review is here because I don't think having the website tell you to use the app is an appropriate workflow. Anything that can be done in a MOBILE app should be done on the web first (imo).

This app may have good graphics but its UX/UI is not that user friendly. Also, customer service can be improved... a lot. You cannot chat with the customer representative in real time right within the app!!! You can request them to email you but even after waiting for an hour, you won't get an email 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

Worst, why? Their mobile app says "No Transaction Fee" even when used a credit card other than their Wellsfargo Master card, so I moved forward and paid my rent, now I see a 3% transaction fee. When I contacted the help, they say it is standard that they will charge and it is shown in desktop browser, and will not reimburse the fee. Pathetic service. Not sure why they need a mobile app then except for their marketing stunts and pulling our personal information, maybe?

DON'T USE IF PAYING RENT BY CHECK I used my card for the first time, they only send via regular mail. The check never arrived. There is no live support. You only get auto responses. They offered to void the check and let me keep the points, doesn't help much for the $200 in late fees I had to pay plus the transfer fees and the processing fees to make payment another way. Very poor support. No option to send checks using a tracked mail option. I would gladly pay for that rather then have late fee

love the credit card. genius idea to get points on rent. I've always wished for a product like this. the only issue it doesn't offer as many points back as other major credit cards on everyday purchases. but it makes up for it with free points when answering quiz questions and 6x points made on rent day and other opportunities for free points. so if you plan your purchase accordingly you can really clean up. the travel portal is convenient the prices are slightly highe than other portals.

This app is what my apartment complex uses to charge rent. It has never successfully saved me any money on rent, constantly sends me email spam advertising their credit card and "bonus points" that I can't opt out of, their ledger is delayed so even after making a payment it does not show up in the interface, even in the desktop website; even confirmation emails for my payments are delayed. Bilt is terrible and scammy and no one should use them unless you just want to help some bank make money

The app crashes seconds after I navigate away and leave it in the background. I wouldn't really care much, but everytime it does this, it crashes and restarts multiple times, spamming me with ANR popups forcing me to force close it. On top of this, it signs me out after force stopping. Come on guys, this app should at least be stable without crashing.

My apartment complex uses this app, and I can tell you right now, both the app AND the site are complete garbage. First off, there is no customer service number for when things go wrong(Things go wrong a lot) so you're left having to communicate with a bot, just to get an email at some point to help resolve issues. If you're lucky. Your account info gets erased repeatedly. Same with your payment info. Then there's the issue with your account sometimes making double payments, by accident they say

So far, this app is frustrating. It's conveniently tied to my housing's payment portal, but even though I have automatic payments confirmed to start today, they still were never initiated by Bilt. I tried manually initiating 5 times with an error occurring. After searching for a FAQ and resetting it a few times, it finally let me submit my payment. This is my first month using it, so I'm still wary if the auto payments will go through in the future. I'm very forgetful, so here's hoping.

I love the concept of earning points for paying rent, but I've experienced a lot of issues with Bilt this year! The way they post statements is confusing - a payment made to the account will show as (100) but then a charge will just appear as "100." It can get super confusing to tell which is which when doing a quick scan through at times. I've also had several erroneous charges go through that have damaged my credit score & I've been scrambling to get it rectified.

The app is very convenient to use, and I love the fact that it shows the exact amount due to my leasing agency (monthly rent minus any payments I already made). Also, you can quickly see all your recent transactions made on the card, and the reward points get added daily (not just after end of the billing cycle). I wish we didn't have to use the Wells Fargo app only for making payments, but that's a minor issue.

there was a bug that my phone said the app has a bug and recommended I clear cache. a app kept crashing whenever it asked me about location and one other thing at the start up when I tried launching each time. I tried clearing just cache as phone recommended, but has to clear all of data on the app and log back in for it to fix whatever bug the app had. also seems kinda useless unless you live in like NYC for the point stuff. but at least it makes paying rent easy I guess.

Latest update of the app does not track rewards by transactions like it used to. There is no reward summary in the statements either. Quite honestly, there is no motivation to use a certain credit card if the rewards are not accoutlntable as it becomes impossible to optimize use. There are loads of credit cards out there with lucrative reward offerings. Also the app has a trashy feel to it... Like a cheap dirty magazine. There are too many redundancies and redirections to the same information.

The problem that I see is that the rent wallet pay is high, and the alternative, Bilt Mastercard, has a higher than average APR. Also, Bilt wants to know too much of my bank info. The fee to pay through Bilt from the wallet feature is $9.99, and my apartment website charges $2.50 for bank account payments (higher for cards). I can think of Bilt like a subscription service, but the fee seems too high for the benefits. Credit pts. may be months off, and 250 reward pts. don't feel worth it.

App has definitely improved over time. It's good for every day use of checking balance and points and paying bills, but it can require a lot of patience to use the Bilt Travel portal, since it will bug out, crash, and/or reset your booking progress at random. It's convenient to have this app if you have a Bilt credit card, since it can be a bit of a process to get registered all over again on Wells Fargo.

Unfortunately the function of transferring points to an airline does not work. Tried to transfer my points to Turkish airlines to upgrade to elite status. The transfer did not go through. I reached to support, they acknowledged the problem after back and forth with airline. But instead of fixing it, there is now a warning in the app that transfer to Turkish airlines is "under maintenance" already for a few days. Support says they do not have a timeline to fix the problem. This means never, lol

The app has a ton of bugs is really frustrating to use and I can't even do simple things like view how many points I have because it won't let me scroll down. It just shows a white bar on the top when I try to scroll down and then it goes away when I try to school back up but the screen doesn't move at all. This issue only happens in your app
