When I can get the updates on the model to load, the app is awesome. Having issues getting past 16% on downloading a new model and then it just stops. I'm using a Samsung S6-Lite tablet. Is this tablet not compatible?

A great way to showcase design and to communicate design intent on the go. Invaluable in communication with builders, clients and specialists. If you use Archicad, then there is no reason to not use BIMx as well. If you don't use Archicad... Well, then you should start.

An excellent, free app, but it is ignoring my rotation settings and is watching gyroscope always. Despite that no issues. Reported this problem and got quick response + confirmation it will be addressed in the future.

September 14 This app has never worked on my Samsung Galaxy 10 despite attempting to import my model at least 20 times using the + function, studying the FAQs, and exchanging a number of emails with supposed help support. Just to prove I'm not a complete idiot and don't know my way around technology, I was able to successfully install the desktop viewer on my laptop on the first try and have been able to view the model there, however, my laptop does not fit in my pocket, or purse, so it's highly inconvenient to not have ready access on my phone.

This app. is above amazing it has all the features a professional design and build app. has and even more. It truly is a cut above any other app. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to better their career or just impress friends ,famly. A big thanks to the developers at BIMx for such a wonderful app.

I love it. It is when you complete your drawing in ArchiCAD and then share your drawing to people who have no access to your ArchiCAD drawing model using BIMx app not only in 2D but also in 3D. This is another level, hope clients satisfy as they see realistic model of their proposed project.

Solid app. Love it! The interface is simple enough and it works well on most devices whatever the specs. Oh, also the way it transitions between 2D and 3D is just splendid. Definitely recommend!

For whatever reason this app works great on my Samsung tablet but will not work at all on my Pixel3. I have been troubleshooting for days and have come to the conclusion that it can't be me. Has to be compatibility with this particular version of Android. Anyone else with a Pixel experienced this?

The app was workong ok until the last update. Since updating I cannot use the 3D viewer mode anymore (Pixel 2XL, Android 10), rendering the app useless for me. Edit: four months and several updates later, even after reinstalling the app, it is still broken.

Loaded the initial version of the file in nov, all worked fine. Then received the updated version of the file, and nothing, can use the + sign to load the new model. Uninstalled the Bimx app multiple times, double checked that the app has permissions to file system, restarted the phone as well. Came to look at the reviews and see that everybody is unhappy... and dont tell me to write an email, i dont work for your testing team...

App not working on pixel 5. I open the app and press the + button to load a file, it says importing file and then nothing happens. It used to work perfectly on my OnePlus 6T. But for some reason it does not work on pixel 5 Edit: I contacted support and they responded right away and fixed my issue. Excellent support. Changing my rating to 5 starts now

The latest update cannot allow you to open 3D model/3D view in anyway. Once you try to open a 3D model, it's keep running itself, and the application crash, you can exit the app, it's not allow you to use your phone, until you force to restart the phone. I have tried 5 times and 5 times happened in the same way. The option of using BIMx legacy is not working as well. Once you open BIMx legacy, it crashed itself. So you can never open it. A handy tool but could be so much better. An anotate feature would be useful in 2d drawing mode. The measure feature would be useful it it would 'snap' to features/lines in 2d mode. Would also be good to be able to share drawings with dimensions from the measurement tool on. Its a shame the bimx explorer user cant decide on the section views they can see rather than the architect.

Very nice app, although it lacks much guidance on how to use the app with a VR viewer. eg - how to move around? Do I have to use a joystick? Wouldn't it be better to have waypoints to click on? EDIT 1: Well, in the light of the answer and more exploration I've downgraded my review because it seems to me this could have been so much better than it is. No-one wants to wear Cardboard VR viewers, so a better way would have been to have integrated VR joystick functionality, or at least auto click on buttons (point, at the button, wait while the timer counts down, then autoclick). As things stand, you're on a constant walk without the ability to stop (unless you use the Cardboard viewer) which is poor and unhelpful for clients. Pity, because it's very close to being brilliant but by missing one function, it's not very practical. Could do better guys. EDIT 2: Looks like it will work with a joystick, but it took a couple of hours playing around with the joystick settings to get it connected to the app. In short, you can walk, stop, reverse all using a handheld Bluetooth joystick, which is pretty much most of what you'd like to do. So this time, I'm UPGRADING my rating. It is brilliant.

I love this app it's really good , but you really need to work on the navigation its very bad , try to look at some games like "crusiders of light " or those fortnite games look-like in andriod . They did an amzing job using the wheel and the screen for moving . Also u need to add a way to flip the controls some people like to swipe left to look right and some other people like to swipe right to go right ...kind like first person shooter games . Otherwise, i can't wait what you gone do next with this app , it has so much potential. You just need to work on the navigation more Keep up the good work
