It worked well, but it absolutely drained my battery. I'm not sure if it was a bad setup or install. Shortly after downloading it and it ran for a few days I noticed my battery was depleting much faster than normal. After uninstalling the app it seemed to normalize again. My phone has battery issues as is but this just made it worse unfortunately. (S9+)

The new sign up doesn't work. **Okay, I got it fixed. My problem was, when signing up, as I switched to gmail app to get the verification code and then get back to this app, the verification code prompt box would disappear and will require to put email + password again and wont accept the previous verification code. I solved it by just getting the code from PC without switching apps on phone. Thanks for the reply from the developer. Didn't expect that. Thank you:)

The app is good overall. It's helped me go without porn for three days. My only complaint is that it has the option to turn off porn blocker in-app. Like, what's the point of that? The app has uninstall prevention if you sign up for premium, but it's pointless if you can turn it off. At the very least guys, have it be like the uninstall prevention and take away the ability to turn it off if you sign up for premium

Works great most of the time. Only thing is sometimes you have to type carefully. You may make a typo or say something that you didn't know was a triggering keyword for the blocker. For example in Instagram DMs, if you type a message with the wrong word in it, the pop-up will show up and now you can't go into the conversation and delete what you were trying to type. It's saved as a draft and the blocker pops up too fast for you to do anything. Almost locking you out of the conversation thread.

It's one of the few that allows you to block keyword searches for free. However, it would block simple things like signing in, commenting on a Facebook post, etc. and the free version wouldn't let you correct that. The main reason for a 2 and uninstall however is how it shames you when you try to turn off the blocker and forces you to type in that you have no self control before it allows you. I had type a lie to get it to turn off in order to sign in to website. Not good.

Most refined Blocker that I've had the pleasure of trying thus far. They're able to effectively combine the VPN and also block keyword search and also block other browsers that they don't support. And they're also receptive to making amendments and feature requests, which makes them exceptional when it comes to customer service. Looking at their other apps as well, it seems that this company's mission is to help people curb unwanted behaviors, which is very much needed in our modern and digital world. Thank you for existing, and BRAVO!

This app works 60-75% of the time. I have premium and for some reason it will turn off the authorization permissions randomly which turns off the blocker. Either it's a bug or it's my phone, I really don't know what's wrong with it. I always relapse when it does this and I wish it were more consistent because I'm questioning why I should have premium tbh.

This app is great and has a lot of good features for someone like me. I like the way the app is organized and welcoming, it makes it seem like im not alone. I do however wish the "block me" widget could be overlayed over certain screens. I would like to have it over my browser just in case it gets to that point of no return. Idk if that's a premium feature or something tho. Great app anyway!!

I've had this app for a week (premium version) and so far the filtering has done a great job. One thing I hope they update is their filtering within messaging apps. The Android native keyboard (using a Galaxy S8) allows for fairly explicit GIF and image searches and the downloadable Gboard keyboard seems to give full access to the same searches even when the image and video search filter is on.

UPDATE Um...I was wrong...after a few days of frustrations and back and forth these guys did it and made some amazing improvements. Especially with the keyword block and blocking on YouTube. Nice job! ORIGINAL REVIEW I had to return my phone to factory settings and I reinstalled the Blocker X and now it is not working as expected. It ignores my blacklisted words. It also will stop working at a moment's notice. Not worth it.

This app is a scam. You can pay to have an uninstall feature. They say that by paying there is no way to uninstal yet on the app all you have to do is flip a switch and turn the uninstall feature off. If you can do that, then what did I pay for? Nothing. The problem with the free version is that people with self control problems can just turn it off. Clearly I figured purchasing the uninstall option would prevent that but it clearly was a lie. This app is a useless scam.

Trying to switch one website out for another I have more trouble with since I'm on the free version & prompt box didn't know the difference between ' and `. Absolutely bombarded with notifications & ads. 95% of features unavailable w/o a $120 subscription. Great app with noble goals but I believe it needs work before being worth as much as it is. Expect very little unless you pay. Expect an app that's hard to uninstall and extremely annoying as well, so it's doing it's job.

Will there be a way to turn off or block the incognito mode? Also, is there a way to store blocked items so they can be identical with all your devices? Could you also make the add button bigger for the block choices? Sometimes it's a hit and miss, and you have to continuously tap on the screen to activate the add function. So far, love the app, especially that 'certain' someone staring at u. Great choice.

It's good for the most part. The biggest issues are with its paywall that is keeping the user from the very helpful blockers. On the free version, you get two options. The regular blocker, and a bot option. The rest is locked behind a pay wall of a $100 dollars (for 1 year and just for a month its $20). Sometimes, the app doesn't even block all the adult content. And when it does, it does it pretty well. Overall, it's decent, but only really helps if you pay $20 or more.

The support team can be very helpful - they respond quickly and have often helped me with several bugs. The app has also gotten A LOT less buggy over the last few months. But... recently, they introduced an "Allow Right Away" option which allows you to pay $5 or $10 to turn off the blocker... which makes the app useless. This is a feature that you cannot disable. I was disappointed to hear that they don't have any plans to allow the user to disable this option.

It works really well for a free app. Its just very basic and if there's a key word anywhere on the screen or something it thinks is a key word, it triggers. It's very irritating when trying to do something legitimate. I might have been wiling to pay for the service but so far this hasn't inspired me to do so. I do like the panic button and the counters, which are very motivating. Edit: lowered rating because everytime they update the app the streak vanishes.

This is a really great app and I love the community section it has. However, for the basic blocking, it doesn't work. For the option of blocking unwanted browsers and blocking image and search, it works. But for the Prn blocker and the search results filtering it doesn't. Before the UI update it wouldn't let me switch them on. Now however, it lets me switch them on but when I exit and go back they are off. Really hope it can save and work.

It works well, and I'm glad it's available, but there's one big problem for me: it randomly changes settings. For example, on YouTube I have to disable captions for every single video (I've tried every setting) and it gets really annoying. Also, if I'm trying to report something (a comment/post) as containing inappropriate material, it prevents me from doing that and kicks me out of the app.

This latest update is incredible. Interface is excellent and I can tell some serious work was put into making it look nice. Most importantly, if you look up something bad it only filters everything that is actually bad and doesn't close put of everything. I was also able to break it on the old update but there is no getting around this one. Excellent craftsmanship on this app.

This app is great and does exactly what I need it to (even monitoring Google and YouTube searches), but be careful with the automatic "accountability buddy" thing because it eventually started glitching for me and disappearing after a split second, making it impossible for me to change certain settings that were either buggy or I had just turned on while setting up the app but didn't actually need. Luckily a simple reinstall fixed this issue. Otherwise, fantastic app!
