This game is fantastic! Why 3 stars? Because it is stagnant. No updates, no upgrades and no new content from the devs and that really sucks. Rarely do I ever play a game for this long, and I've been playing this one for years...but once you reach a certain level.. there's NOTHING else to do, and on a game as well done as this, that's frustrating. I have bought quite a few packs over the years too and I appreciate that this isn't a money grab type game . BUT..New content pleeeaassee?!!! 😂

This is a five-star game, but with three-star problems. I bought the Remove Advertisements feature, so now instead of getting ads for other games like Candy Crush and Age of War, I get ads for other Ninja Kiwi games, namely ones that I've already installed, which is very upsetting. It seems as though every time I visit the main hub of the city, it's asking me to buy BTD6 and to download BTD Battles. I already have both games installed, AND logged in to my Ninja Kiwi account. Very aggravating.

Edit: App frequently crashes and freezes my phone upon start up. Progression is extremely slow, and they push microtransactions as hard as they can. As someone who can't restore her previous saves and played through a decent portion of the game, I have no desire to put in all that effort just to get back to where I was. Interesting concept, very flawed execution.

Overall 4 stars. Great game. Doesnt have a life system, you can play for a long time without needing to stop. Not five stars because higher upgrades require to wait long amounts of time to finish the upgrade. You can skip this by using bloonstones and those cost money. Edit: I had an issue with my account and when I went to the support team, they were quick and fixed my account. Youwould think they wouldnt because of BTD6 but they're still fixing here. Thanks Ninja Kiwi.

Great time waster, a ton of options for customization of your city and gameplay, the only problem is the leveling with monkey knowledge, it keeps saying it reached level three when I hit the end of the bar, but when I go back to the knowledge levels it's back to two. At first I just thought that maybe I wasnt keeping track but it's happened at least 5 times now and the only time my knowledge hit level 3 and stayed was by using a wild card, nonetheless, this doesnt affect my rating.

Best version of Bloons I have ever played. Playing a strong 3 years or more on this version. A little repetitive(, but what grinding games aren't?) This will always be my favorite version of Bloons. The Adventure time version pisses me off and is a cash grab. This one is a fun and fair version. Thanks for the in app purchase removing ads. Could add some new towers over time instead of a version of the app; So we can keep our city and keep it a timeless classic. Thanks Ninja Kiwi & company!

I think the game's great, and it mixes both elements of a city game and a BTD game. However, I have been experiencing a problem that has made the game much harder to enjoy. In the game, there's an ad whenever you capture a tile. Now, I don't mind ads, but whenever the ad ends and I'm back to the game, my game immediately crashes. Is this a bug, or is it my phone?

I really like this game. It's fun, creative, and addicting. The only problem I have are with this the numerous ads!!! Everytime you capture land or do a event an ad pop's up. they are annoying, pointless and unskipable. Don't take my word for it. Sooooo many other people agree that the worst part about Monkey City are the ads! But this game is still great and I would strongly recommend to other's but I'm still giving it four stars because of the ads. PS: there are also some glitches in the game.

Good game, Enjoy the upgrading buildings aspect to increase Play-Time, and levels are a lot of fun. On a side note the ads after losing a battle are definitely annoying considering spending money to remove them. Some levels are incredibly difficult for a while and you have to come back to later. I definitely enjoy the Contested Grounds, For the extra cash. Maybe add some sort of achievements for gems? They can be a bit of a psin to get Late game. Overall definitely a great Free-To-Play BTD Game.

This game is amazing, I love it like a lot. Though, there are minor flaws. 1. I hate the fact you cannot demolish fences. 2. It eventually gets a little hard to obtain land. I still have land to get, but its kind of tough. 3. There is no village edit mode of some sort. You have to move each item one by one... Change these three things for five stars please. I just hate where I accidently put my fences, it takes forever to edit my village after getting new buildings, and I need more land. Change for 5 stars.

I originally rated this a 4☆ saying, "Thank you for a fun distraction". I was able to achieve all the levels except the chipper and sub and the higher bloonbuilders. The problems often didn't show up as a big deal as glitches go... recently the game would be interrupted, then stop game all together, then started to reboot my entire phone system. Yesterday as I won the land grab and pressed continue playing, the system rebooted. This was sad as it set up as a new beginner player. Now uninstalld

Great game, when it wants to keep running. It has reset twice now. The first time I was on level 8 (I think), and it started me back at the beginning (level 1). I played it for a while this morning reaching level 22, and this afternoon, I'm back at level 1. Not too happy with it right now. And no response from my original review (imagine that). Anyway. Trying the game again after a couple years and so far so good on maintaining my levels, but the pop ups are closing the game down.

This will always be one of my favorite games, the game is so lax and fun at the same time. The game has engaging bosses, special challenging levels, and hard levels. The game has easy moments that feel like grinding but that's apart of any game. The game has an amazing pacing and makes you wanna check up regularly to do the next thing in your town. The style and art are so cute, they make the game feel so nostalgic and adorable. I hope my reveiw helped 😍.

Love this game. I played it on flash years ago back when that was a thing. They've added some new features to this version, but it's very much the same great experience. There are occasional video ads that pop up between matches, so watch out if you are not on Wi-Fi. Otherwise, there are a number of timers in the game that are designed to encourage you to purchase Bloonstones to skip them, but there is so much to do that it's really not hard to stay busy even while the timers are going.

Fun Old Game Experience. The Online Multiplayer isn't good but the Single Player experience is all I'm here for. Build up a City and select your favorite monkey towers to collect. Get the Original tower Upgrades and try Entertaining and Challenging Missions. Expand out and make the Ultimate Monkey City. The game does crash now and again when I open it, but I'm having fun again. I think a reboot with all the new upgrades and all the old towers would be an extremely fun game today.

Great Game! Lot's of fun and challenging, but not frustratingly so. I spent 1.99 -- got some stuff and got rid of the ads. There are ways to spend real world money to speed up your development, but I never bothered buying any more stuff. You capture land, build your monkey tower strength, and develop strategies to use different towers and monkeys together. One of the best tower defense games out there, and it's essentially free!

This game is pretty fun, but there are 2 major drawbacks. 1, it has way too many intrusive ads. Get some bloonstones (special in-game money that can be purchased with real money or slowly gained while playing) by ads, sure. Skip time by ads, sure. But just finishing 1 tile and getting an ad that you need to click out of 3 or 4 times... Not ok. An occasional small ad is fine, but not over the top instrusive and so frequent! 2, has a pay to win avenue.

Very good but a few issues still exist. Some upgrades take very long (is fine but some aren't strong). Game has crashes sometimes after relaunching. Ads are insanely intrusive. Beat contested territory and went back to your city? Ad. Beat a tile? Ad. You literally can't play f2p while staying online without constantly getting bombarded with intrusive, unskippable ads. Easily 5/5 if crashes were patched and intrusive ads removed.

Pretty solid game still holds up, but I do kind of wish they would update the game with the third upgrade path mechanics, like how BTDB2 is, or maybe just make the banana farms worth using again. Another change that could benefit would be decreasing the amount of time it takes to build/upgrade monkeys and potentially adding a 5th tier for the monkey upgrades, like the newer generation of BTD. Just so the community knows, the game is still being given significant updates.

Fun mix of classic Bloons with city builders, complete with building/upgrade cooldowns so you can always come back to the game after a good break. I found that playing the with ads was kind of a drag so I decided to purchase the ad free version for 2.99. instantly made the game flow a lot smoother. *Update* unsure if the game is being updated but it keeps crashing up on opening. Shame since I just spent the 2.99.
