Really great app! However, for those who have the same issue, some phones aren't compatible with the app completely which is why the lock screen isn't affected by the app and the notification bar. It does the same thing for me which is unfortunate because it's staggering to use your phone with the filter working on everything else but get absolutely blinded when you turn on your phone or have to slide down the notification bar.

Was great, now useless. Suddenly it turns off out of nowhere and when I try to turn it back on it says it needs permissions approved. I go to the relevant settings, they're approved. I have to reopen the app bc it automatically closes itself for some reason, and it tells me again it needs permissions. First time it just started working again, no clue why. 2nd time, now, it just takes me to the slider page but without turning on any filter.

I love this. I've been having blue light headaches and this completely stops them. I recommend doing the screen dim in the app as well. The one problem (and the reason I only gave it 4/5 stars) is that the filter only works on the home screen, not the lock screen. I'd like it to work on everything while it's on. Otherwise, great app. Update: It has started turning off randomly when I have it set on. A little annoying and kind of painful. If I could just have it on 24/7, that would be great.

This is a really great app! I'm fine with the inconveniences about turning it off to download stuff and I love all the options it gives. I just have one major problem: it will not! Stay! On! I tried setting the timer to last the whole day. I tried messing with the setting to extend the length. I even keep it open constantly just to make it work, but it randomly turns off all the freakin time. It's extremely annoying to repeatedly reset and it hurts my eyes a ton. Great app, but that sucks.

I like this particular blue filter because it's easy to make the screen almost red and it allows you to dim your screen tremendously. It has little icons that let you control the "temperature ", so you can pick which color predominates. I like it redder. Whenever you turn it off, it gives you an advert. Small price to pay for a good app. Unfortunately updated to new phone w Android 12 - was informed this app no longer compatible. Had to switch to something else. If you fix I will return.

Lost some functionality with the most recent Android update. This has been my go-to filter for more than a year, but it does not translate to a new phone running Android Pie. As others have mentioned, the lock screen and notification bars are not filtered, which almost defeats the purpose, unfortunately. I love the layout, and with a patch to filter everything, I'd be back up to 5 stars.

Works great so far! Great at being able to adjust the color tone of the screen and having a drop down toolbar makes it far easier than some other apps, some of which are far more customizable, but lack the drop-down toolbar. I find it rather inconvenient to have to close a screen and go to the app screen just to make an adjustment as opposed to being able to use the drop-down toolbar here and make quick adjustments, or temporarily disable, particularly when I am doing photo editing

I really love this app, it's so useful. There are way more settings than I had expected, including one to set the time you would like Night Mode to come on. I've used a few other apps like this, but this is my favorite because there are so many options; you can set the brightness and temperature and there's also a dimmer! The only con is that when you set it to be on your display, it's on both your home and lock screens; you can't choose one or the other. Still: thank you for such a great app!!

I've been using Blue Light Filter for years now and it's the best one of its kind that I've found. I love the different options they give you for light types and intensities. It's been a great help when I'm browsing, reading or watching videos before bed. This app combined with my phone's "dark mode" (which I always have on because of migraines) helps me fall asleep more quickly than when I haven't used the app.

Great! Blue light causes macular degeneration which can lead to blindness. This app saves your sight! Reduces eye strain. In addition, now I'm able to read more ebooks then I've been able to do in the past because I'd often get migraine headaches with any ereader device. I can keep this turned on 24 hours a day on all my devices without reducing the colors on wallpapers or interference with apps! Thanks! It's brilliant without hurting my eyes!

This app is EXACTLY what I needed! I'm in my mid 30's & always find myself changing the color on screens or making the light dimmer, things were always too bright. This app not only automatically fixes any light issues for you, it also lets you choose from 5 different settings which you can customize, but it also informs you about light & how different kinds can help or do more damage. 5 + stars!

This is a great app that allows you to filter the light of your phone screen. Be aware that if you take pictures with the filters turned on, your pictures will dimmer. I used this app every day until I found that I could filter screen light in my phone's settings without the app. The settings on my phone do not dim my pictures, so that's better.

This app is really nice, the GUI is simple and has multiple settings to choose from. But something unique that sets it apart from other apps of this type is that it includes a flashlight button with a nifty feature. The flashlight has an "SOS" button to blink the SOS visual morse code. This means that in addition to saving your eyes and protecting yourself against headaches and other negative side effects, in a scenario where you are desperate for immediate help, this app could save your life!

I time it to come on an hour or two before bedtime. I often use it at a very low level during the day. One day maybe it can be programmed for lighter day darker at night automatically. I may be missing something but I wish it was easier to adjust once launched. It shows up in notifications but the only option is switching to be on top of other apps.

Quick and easy to use and set up, this app has been my go-to since almost a year ago (I think). The button set-up in my notifications allows me to turn blue screen on and off without hassle, and the options themselves are both varied and simple to understand. Highly recommended. Edit: while this used to be my go-to, the filter keeps on shutting off sporadically. Until this is fixed, i cannot fully recommend this app.

Have been using for years, works excellent, has exactly necessary functions, not overburdened with unnecessary and unrelated functions, thus it's easy to use. Has necessary widgets which makes switching the app in and off easy. Does excellent job if you want to decrease the brightness way below what your default phone settings allow. Pleasant design.

Again, same situation... I came to the ratings area because a popup requested it... *Two* years now...? Why is this issue not fixed yet...? This last update made the filter malfunction. My device's status bar and the lockscreen are not "covered" like the rest of the screen is. It's irritating my eyes. Please fix quickly... I've heard it's an incompatibility issue... Please find a way to fix the incompatibility without giving up on samsung devices...🙏

Use to love this app but now it has a lot of problems with either turning on or staying off for some reason. And If the notification bar gets turned off at all the app seems to stop working completely not matter how many times I reset it, it won't let me use the blue light after that. Used this for a couple years but will be looking for a new app now

I like that this app gives you lots of options to customize your filter and explains each level of intensity. I use it every night and have seen a big difference in my sleep! The only complaint I have is that sometimes it turns itself off during the nighI. I also wish there was a widget option or a way to put a button in quick settings to turn it on and off without having to open the app every time. It gives accessibility integration options but that did nothing useful on my Galaxy s21+.

So appreciate this app. There aren't any unnecessary ads, it's very intuitive, there are a lot of options to customize to your specific needs. I love it and I'm keeping it forever =) I work on a computer and at times have a hard time enjoying phone time after work because my eyes just plain hurt. This helps a ton!
