I have to say I'm pretty impressed which is a surprise. In my experience there's no other app in which you can get unlimited new/recent Audiobooks and Ebooks. Modestly priced too. Everything with the app is pretty spot on. The only reason I can mark it down for is that there's a lot of authors it doesn't have. So if you're looking for a particular author, often you won't find them. Maybe if we can have an author request section that would be good. This app will be as essential as Spotify.

This is a really great audiobook app - I ended up getting a subscription after my free trial. Subs are split into hours per month, and this is so much better than credits (like Audible) imo! What's best about this app is the books on offer: new releases, and books with big hype that I haven't been able to get my hands on elsewhere. My only gripe is you can't see how much longer there is left in the track - you can see how long the track is, but not how much you have already listened to.

Love that it has a fairly large English selection. One thing they need to add is auto-rewind on resume. On some audiobook apps, when I resume playing after pausing it for a while, it starts from earlier than the place I left it. Pause 10 minutes, it'll start 15 seconds earlier. Pause for a day, it'll start maybe a minute earlier. I love that feature.

The app looks promising. However, it is a pity that there is no option to read and listen at the same time. Jammer!! I am trying to learn Dutch and it is quite difficult for me to just listen without text.. and when I open the ebook version, there is no audio button.. please improve this. Then you can be one of the best audiobook apps. You are welcome ;)

this is a great app. so glad I found it! I just wish you could decide on the speed above 2x speed. some people do like to listen to it faster. Every other app allows you to personalise that as you wish but 2x is the limit here. would get 5 stars if this was sorted

Major issue: if you hit skip chapter by accident, the app forgets where you were in the previous chapter.

it's the best app for ebooks/audiobooks I've found so far, with the best value for money, meaning I can access really a lot of content monthly. It caters to all tastes, both mine and my 3 year old's.

just incredible idiocy and arrogance. Swedish can't be removed from the selection, I don't know Swedish. if you want literature other than Swedish, then in every search there are endless books in Swedish first. absolutely impossible to find something new in any other language. if you know the exact name, you can find it in another language. of course, the app shows whether it actually exists or is only advertised. more books are advertised than actually exist, at least in Finnish and non Estonia

A cheaper alternative to Audible. The subscription plans offered should suit most people. It works on hours read rather than tokens purchased, which suits me better. The book choices are vast, and most pooular authors and titles are offered. Recommended 👍

I used to really enjoy the app, but lately it's become overrun with AI generated slop, and since the hours for listening/reading are now limited, if you aren't extremely cautious you'll end up wasting your rather expensive hours on content that isn't worth consuming for free. Some of the AI is labeled, but not all and, especially with narrators, the lack of disclosure is quite jarring.

Most books you can think of, free on here with a small subscription fee that you can set according to your specifications...

App is fine but the service is not. You can't listen via browser so you can't listen while on a computer. Hence two stars.

Otherwise good service but there are spme problems with the player which I consider subbar in modern standards i.e. Progress bar is always the whole book's length, not individual chapters; accidental jumps are way too common; It doesn't scale during speed changes; chapter listing doesn't tell you anything (want to get back to something? too bad, take a guess); this is probably on me, but I don't get what hh:mm numbers are trying to tell me in different contexts like player or chapter listing.

A great app with a good assortment of books. I find it has less of a variety than other apps such as audible however it's very reliable, user friendly and offers audiobook and e-book options which is helpful. I think the quality of the audio on the app is great. overall a good app. The only aspect that could be improved would be to have the options to have more books, contemporary and historical

Disappointing! I was excited to find this app and I signed up to the cheapest subscription on a free trial as I have a habit of forgetting to cancel. Listened to one book which I enjoyed, but about 25 minutes from the end of my second book my hours ran out, so won't get to hear the end of the book until May, very frustrating. Streaming by the hour especially at the cost of the higher subscriptions sadly not for me.

Wonderfull app. no trouble at all. I do have a wish for the future that this app gets a desktop version as well. I listen to audiobooks while I work and having to switch from phone headset to PC headset multiple times a day is quite a bit tedious.

Although I listened to some of the greatest audiobooks in this app, I would not recommend it to my family and friends. No matter if I listen online or use the downloaded books, the audio stops every couple of minutes. Moreover, it does not restart from the same point, so I have to spend time and effort to look for the lost fragment myself... I restarted my device, re-installed the app but with no success.

I really wanted to like this but working within time limits just doesn't work. My husband and I share the account (as we did with Audible) as we read/listen to most of the same books. First that decreases the hours by half, and second the app doesn't let 2 people listen at the same time. I think I'll be cancelling and trying other audio book apps. (trying to find an alternative to Amazon)

Gives you 30 hours free as a free trial, but if you listen to the books sped up you dont get 30 hours. I always listen at around 1.75x so Ive only had about 17 hours listening time which is done in a few days. it also cuts you off part way through a book, I only have 15 minutes roughly left of the book (although it won't even let me see exactly how far I am unless I upgrade) but im unable to complete it. I'd prefer to keep using audible and buy books so that I know I can at least finish it.

Great little app. I stumbled on it by chance, and signed up for a free 3 month trial, then you can subscribe or not. Vast range of books to choose from, and I'm already looking for my 2nd audiobook! Easy site to navigate too. There is an inspiration section, where Bookbeat will suggest books they think you might like, based on your listening. Glad I discovered this!
