I had no problems when I first installed this app. It was easy to use, and made handling my Pandora presets a breeze. And then poof! It stopped working for no reason. I have tried everything to get it functional again, but nothing would work. Update 9/23/16: Out of the blue my app started working again! Let's hope this continues! P. S. I still contend that Bose customer service is horrible to get in contact with via phone! Update TWO 10/19/19: This app makes me happier than not so added a ☆

This is the worst app I have ever dealt with. I lose connections at random, so I need to login again. However, it's impossible to see both what you're typing and what you already typed. I've just spent 30 minutes resetting passwords and trying to establish connections with no luck. Couldn't there just be a simple phone-to-speaker Bluetooth connection like everybody else? Couldn't you have a website so that I can type the logins with a keyboard? What's with all the updates all the time? How do I get out of this recursive hell?!? Oh, super secret scroll down so I can learn to wait until the amber light. There's hope! Nope, let's keep repeating the setup over and over with no clear indication of what went wrong. Damn your beautiful sounds and crappy app engineering!!

Okay I will have to change my review from one star to I guess three after looking into this for awhile. So if you have issues connecting to this app or reconnecting to the internet I found some help from a website. And no it was not bose. If you turn on airplane mode. Then connect to the speaker via wifi it will work. It looks like on mobile devices it will block the connection because there is not really an internet connection, this is from your phone trying to optimize all the connections all the time. But if airplane mode is on it will bypass this issue making everything a lot easier.. hopefully bose will add this and make it easy to find as a solution.

Return your Bose Speaker and get a Sonos! Save yourself! It ran in a buggy fashion for our soundtouch 20, but we added a 10 and the app is too buggy to add it. You'd think they'd have this working for all the Christmas presents to be able to work. With update it added tune in and lost internet radio, which means I can no longer get KROQ, which is unbelievably lame. And I got them both connected after moving to a new house and it burped and forgot them within a couple months. Sonos. definitely

for such a premium product I'm really shocked that the updates take so long, as to the point of assuming my simple speaker may never play again. initial setup was pretty long. and i recently changed internet providers, so I had to update that information to the soundtouch. it took close to an hour... I'm no software engineer, so I don't quite get the detailed obstacles involved... but I know that no other device of my takes more than 1 minute to setup. I'd expect more from a company like Bose.

I would truly give a five star rating, if it weren't such a pain to set up the speaker and get it connected. It always seems to be problematic. Update 12/20: I don't seem to have the same set-up/connectivity issues that I did before, but now have issues getting my entire iTunes/apple music library to sync (it simply doesn't), and I regularly get a prompt to update the app, but the play store says I already have the latest version installed.

Your last forced update destroyed my system. I can only see one of four of my soundtouch devices from the app. All are connected to Wi-Fi. i can see them on my router. System worked perfectly before update. Updates ALWAYS cause issues. Stop making them mandatory. They NEVER do anything good. Fix the app or give me my money back. Sonos is hassle free. Doesn't sound as good, but it works.

Update 2: Group Play seems to have stabilized with recent updates, no major qualms with the app. Might be nice to toggle speakers on / off as we move about the house. Update: Group Play is sub-par, having persistent issues following software update and troubleshooting. Original: Very happy with the control and interface it offers with a single unit. We'll see how that holds up with multiple speakers, which seems to be where much of the advertised functionality is catered

Poor speaker. Disappointing app. I've been a Bose lover my life. "F word" HATE this speaker! Wish i could give zero stars - or negative stars. Ive been trying to play music for over two hours. But my speaker "cant be found". I regret this purchase. There are too many comparable options (Sony!) to have to deal with this. I'm done! The app is a pain to setup. I have to manually reconnect regularly. It's cumbersome to use. It's easier if you use presets, and the remote. I didn't t like it at all.

Love my SoundTouch 30. The app however rarely works as it cant find my speaker. I've followed all the guides and setup tips but 90% of the time it just sits there searching. Randomly it will connect. With so many connection issues, I cannot recommend this app. I'd also love to have an equalizer in the app. Bose has equalization figured out by default, but there are times or rooms that I wish I could add bass or reduce trebles. I use a 3rd party equalizer but it's unreliable.

I would give this stereo five stars, because the sound and overall quality is great! I'm only giving it one star however because the app used to operate it really sucks big time! I don't understand why a high end company like Bose, has such a bad app! It is so frustrating to use, because all it does most of the time is give you error messages and tells you to update the app eventhough I have the most current app! If they will fix the app, I will gladly give them five stars, because when it does work, it really sounds great and I love it!

The most important feature of an app is that it does what it advertises. This app does not. Bose, re-adding my speaker is not a solution to your app being unable to find it. The whole point of controlling it through this app is lost if it doesn't work reliably. The remote control works 100% of the time, I'll stick to that. The remote also doesn't require an account and that I sign in either, so basically the app is like a bad joke.

Wow. It just seems doesn't work well. On both iPhone and Android this app is horrible. Inconsistent. Volume control goes up and down on speakers. Speakers sometimes will not show up. -- With that said, it does work with the Microsoft app on Windows 10. -- It seems the problem is the mobile app. HELP. Bose. Please fix this. Your last update might be the problem.

The soundtouch 30 sounds great. However this app is such a shame. First of all, on Android Oreo, the app cannot setup over WiFi. Here is what happens, when you set up a new soundtouch speaker, the speaker starts off as a WiFi access point and the soundtouch app attempts to detect this WiFi SSID and connects the phone to it. However, it cannot communicate with the speaker. The reason is simple - Android detects that this access point does not have internet connection and routes all network traffic to LTE. In order to get it to work you just need to turn off mobile data and the app will then successfully communicate with the speaker to set it up. The solution is simple - the app needs to specifically choose the WiFi interface when trying to communicate with the speaker while setting it up. Did they even test this app? Second... how do you set up the time on the Bose speaker. I have the clock display on and it shows the time from some arbitrary timezone - perhaps UTC? Overall, a good speaker that requires a shameful app in order to work!

Edit: The radio/app will no longer connect to my home network and Bose customer support is non-existent. I should have known it was to good to be true... The app, like the speaker, is flawless so far. Setting up the Wave Radio, along with Pandora and Spotify, is a snap. Having volume control on my phone if the remote isn't in the same room is just great. Highly recommend if you have the Bose Wave Radio.

Works great the first time you connect to wifi, but if you ever change routers, that's it. You only get one chance. I have 4 soundtouch speakers that can only be used one at a time through bluetooth. Very disappointed that I spent so much money on these!!!!!!!! Update: I downloaded soundtouch for windows on my computer and installed them on the app using a USB cord. Now they work great. Don't waste you time using the app on a tablet or phone until you install them with a computer first.

Older tech but works really great! I've got these in and around the outside of my home for a complete immersive sound. When people come over for a party I can keep speakers independently leveled to allow for conversation in certain areas and rooms or volume turnt up to dance and party! Everyone who comes to my home always mentions how great the immersive experience is :)

Looks like Bose finally got their stuff together. In the past the program lost my speaker often and took up to a half hour for it to "find" again. Now all is good, very happy with everything including the selection of available music. Update months later: My android app has stopped working. I've done all I could to get it to function according to all help available. Hours of doing everything possible. At least I can listen to the music I've already selected by accessing the speaker manually.

App can't remember its own bose products. I have to add my system to the wifi network almost every other day and most times it doesn't even work. So frustrating! System works fine with TV but i have all my devices and PC connected through CEC using eARC so if I'm using my media server or PC on TV, forget it! I usually end up having to remove device I need and directly connecting to the TV via HDMI. Giving in and buying a network hub. But I shouldn't have to as much as this system cost over $3K!

Bose device modals are not working. Soundtouch Main and Soundtouch 10.1 Cannot be controlled through the app (this is the second screenshot available in the view). This prevents me from using the "all play" and controlling the different devices. I am on Samsung s24 ultra with Android 14. This was working a week ago. It does work on iOS devices. Is there a configuration setting that needs to be updated? Are there other app options that do the same ?
