This may be a niche to power users but I'm disappointed a feature I really like with Google Drive is basically being able to open shared links directly in the app opposed to the browser (which is the Box method). This is especially useful when you have several docs locally available for offline mode and clicking on shortcut links within other docs should open within app. Unfortunately I'll be switching back to Google Drive for now.

I can not upload any pictures or videos from my Samsung galaxy note 8. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and the failure to upload is still an issue.. I have Dropbox on my phone also and I'm not having any issues with uploads using that app so I don't think my phone is the issue. **** I figured it out. The issue was I use the VPN that comes with the Lookout Security App. Disabling the VPN solved my issue.👍😁

I've looked at the reviews online and found it odd that it's not the highest rated storage app. You get twice the storage of other higher rates. It works seamlessly integrating all your devices. Very handy storage app with many good features. I've tried others such as Dropbox etc. and found this far superior.

Used to love it until I started using the Box Notes function. Stil like having the Box Notes but it provides too limited functionality, such as no undo and no text color change. Will be great to have the features available in Desktop version of Box Notes, which are already quite limited. My team might stop using this Box Notes and use Google Docs or something like that with more features.

If you use Box Notes, this tool will only frustrate you! I'm a huge fan of Box services in general, especially Box Notes but this app makes Notes almost unusable. VERY common to try an add text in Notes only to have existing text overwritten or deleted. Something as simple as cut, copy and paste is made torturously non-standard. They are not available via tap & hold and the first option in the toolbar is paste whereas every other application has copy first. I cannot say how many times I accidentally pasted over what I wanted to cut or copy. There is also no undo so you cannot even correct it if the tool experiences an error or you accidentally paste over something. While the Box app has been updated over time, the Notes feature has been excruciatingly stagnant.

I avoid most of the user interface functionality; I have no use for it. However I use it daily via Box Sync. Since Box Sync works so well, I assume the API is good enough. I have no complaints, so this must be a good, reliable, and usable Network File Server. However, it is aimed at commercial users and thus, expensive and provides storage in huge chunks. In this regard I prefer Google's Drive.

Switched from Dropbox to box. Overall has all the features I need and no talking to support when I need more space and then being told no with my "unlimited" plan so very happy so far. I wish the Android app let me access files as if they were on the phones hd like the PC app does, but maybe that's impossible or possible with other means haven't figured it out yet but that's the only problem I encountered. The file size limit is also a bit of a drag.

This app is used through my university. It is JUNK. it might be good for Personal use but not for professors to upload lectures. All last semester and now this summer I cant see a single upload from my professor. Luckily I watch him live. I have also contacted the schools IT and watched box tutorials. Update: 3rd semester, same opinion on box. Constantly cuts the visual off for my math class, still plays the audio. Have to refresh. My laptop is new. I can play them at least.

USING TIP: Box gets stuck on uploading overload at around 4 or 5 items.. Not at once, in a row. To help this, at first lag of more than 20 or 30 seconds stop that upload (the tiny x in active loading), stop Box, and wait a few minutes. When you go back Box will quickly load again. Don't even try to upload several pix at once. It's a good enough app.. a little hard to get used to.. thus the 4 stars, but this is for an older version, since I've found in general I am Never happy I updated Any app.

Works fantabulously. It has never let me down, allows for superior sharing as compared to.. Say... That other box that drops or that 'ive' jive. As for the service itself.. I must note the plan structures are skewed towards forcing professional solo users to purchase multiple, ie. separate, accounts to acquire the storage space needed if they have a lot of data. That, or buy a team plan and pay for the minimum 3 users required. Raise the cost and up the space would be great.

The app does what it says and Is great for storage, however, the app is prone to a specific glitch where it will calculate file sizes wrong and will say that you're over the allotted limit when you indeed are not. Perhaps it is because I use the free account, but customer service is non-existent for customers who simply want to store pictures and videos for personal use. App has a lot of potential to be the best on the market, but has some things to fix first.

I'm in a music group that shares rehearsal recordings, agendas, etc. The desktop version is great but navigating thru folders within the app is horribly difficult. After using it off & on for about a year (since I joined the group), I've deleted and am just using a home screen link to the website. I've found that way more intuitive and functional.

You do not need access to my contacts; across does that natively. Remove the unnecessary permissions... I don't know why you guys didn't think of a service like the "Send Anywhere" app.. You should buy or partner up with them.. Not to change anything about them; only to acquire their services.. That would definitely put you above Dropbox; right now you're both at the same level.. Distinguish yourself..

Box has been a very handy and useful service for me. I have been using it for several years now, and it has always worked very well. I can upload from my phone or my PC, and download to either. It's easy to create folders and organize content, as well as to invite viewers or fellow editors. I can recommend Box to everyone (and have), with no reservations. Well done Box!

Don't bother trying to type notes into this version anymore. The text editor is now completely borked. It keeps moving your position in the document around so you end up typing in random places, adds extra empty lines on the bottom of your document, etc. You can only ever type for a couple seconds now before it does something else. If you don't have a fully prepared document you have no intention of editing you just might be fine. It wasn't a problem before, but now it's relentless.

This used to be a super-convenient app! It was excellent for backup of data and sharing of data. Unfortunately for the last several weeks it has become largely unusable. Whenever I select a stored image to view it displays for a moment. Then the screen blanks and I am unable to view the image again even though it appears in list view. After attempting to view three or more files the app crashes. Please fix this issue.

It does what it says it will. The problem i have is not huge but annoying. It's supposed to help organize files and folders yet doesn't have a duplicates function and if a picture (for example) is renamed, compressed or the date of last modification is changed, then it may be uploaded again no problem. The other issue is when anything with a transparent background is uploaded to Box there's no way to tell it apart from a white background; even if the image is opened it's still just white.

Box itself is great. But if I'm rating based on just the app functionalities I give it a one star. Oftentimes when I play an audio then leave the app, the audio eventually stops and says "Please check your internet connection" (even though my connection is great, thank you). So I have to go back to the app and hit play in order for it to work again which is very frustrating. This didn't happen in the past, not sure why it does now.

It's unfortunate this app is mandatory for my work. Dropbox works so much better. Google Drive is better. I can't even make a new folder. This bug has been going on for a long time and restarting the phone or app does not fix. Just one of many issues: media playback is terrible, downloads are tricky to navigate once downloaded, there aren't nearly enough organizational options.

I actually really love Box, and I will update my rating if I can get an answer to this issue. I'm trying to download a video onto my phone from Box and I thought it finally uploaded but when I press the transfer button the app crashes and closes. Every. Time. Why is this happening? I cleared cache, even forced stopped it. But it keeps crashing.
