This has been the most inconsistent frustrating app i have ever used. Its constantly freezing up or glitching. Payments start pending and take 4 or 5 days before the even clear. Even then it will start saying a new advance is pending days before its even due! Getting money from them is nearly impossible due to the problems the app has. Wish it worked right because when it does its a nice easy process. Dave or earnin are much better alternatives due to these issue. Try them instead.

Ever since their most recent update I am having terrible issues using the Instant Pay method. I tried reinstalling and restarting my phone. When I get to the part of putting in my electronic signature and swipe to process, the screen turns green and nothing happens. Not sure how to use the services at the moment because of this - update, I found a temporary fix for now. But I'm not sure if your app developers are aware of the bug

I received an advance from Branch, paid it back on time and was able to re-advance smoothly. Upon the second payback, the app said I did not qualify because no direct deposits were detected eventhough my bank account was linked and I have regular deposits twice a month for the last 2+ years. After sending a message to customer support with the requested screenshot of my deposits, I was told the issue was actually with Plaid, with no way for Branch to correct the issue.

In the beginning the app worked great. However, I now keep receiving the same message when I try to use insta pay. Which, says "unable to verify when you get paid" & customer service is horrible & really hard to contact! I've tried to get a hold of them regarding this issues for over a week now. I've sent 5 "requests". Don't understand why you can't connect w/ someone right away like you can w/ Earning?! Of course they have no issue of taking the $ out of my account on my pay day though, weird.

*Still no resolution as of 8/31 When I first downloaded this app, it was quick, easy, awesome. Simple. But then when I tried to cash out it would say I don't qualify and I need to give them more info, or it doesn't show enough direct deposits. Mind you, I've had the same deposit from the same employer for almost 2 years now. Nothing has changed. I have reached out for help, NO RESPONSE IN OVER A WEEK. No help, nothing. I sent them bank statements, etc. Terrible customer service. Look elsewhere.

They keep lowering my amount when I've easily made the payments back to them. I would not recommend this app to anyone. I went from $100 to $20 in 5 months and i have no derogatory marks in my account. For the membership fee they charge it is not worth the trouble. I always keep enough money in my account to pay them back yet they lower how much i can take out! Not a good experience!

[Update] less than a half hour after posting this review, a representative conveniently responded back to my initial ticket basically saying too bad, check after your next paycheck. Great work Branch! It will be great to have my account back up after the next paycheck when my current struggle just no longer exists! Great business model. [Original Review]Customer Support is Garbage. Like many others, I was able to utilize the advance function a few times, then when I needed it the most (Of Course) I was given the Direct deposit fail in the qualifications window although nothing in my deposit history had changed. Submitted one ticket that actually received a response saying that it had to be bumped to tier 2, and even gave them more than enough information to simply fix the issue. Have not received anything from them since. At this point I very well may just keep creating a new ticket over and over again with support until they decide they actually want to help us.

App is super slow and takes forever to load. Frequently have issues using the card when making purchases with different online services/businesses, billing address has to match exactly or it won't go through, which sucks when other websites formatting won't allow you to match it exactly (apt vs unit #). If the transaction is run without a putting in your pin, it frequently declines. Service goes down randomly causing transactions to decline

It's not a bad app really I just hate the fact that one moment it's offers me a $50 advance and the few hours it's offering $25. It's kind of weird and aggravating because I was depending on $50 because that's what I was granted last pay period. I like the fact that I can go up the street to Walgreens atm to withdraw money for FREE! I see their adding more features which is nice and a plus BUT ... my only problem is how often the advance offers fluctuate.

Never had a problem until all of a sudden my bank was no longer supported. No prior warning, no email advising in advance, nothing... Easy to use one day and nothing the next. Totally disappointed since I've had the account over a year and never made a late payment, then to be disregarded like trash with no concern to the effects it could have on my financial stability. Very disappointed!

To my surprise, I literally thought one had a choice to keep their direct deposit they way it is or you could sign up for this silly app. Anyways, came to find out that it was a business choice and there was no way around it. So, I did an instant deposit. They did not even have the fee listed, it was after I did the transaction I saw the fee of $8.88 for the balance transfer. Are you kidding me? This is nonsense!!!! They ought to do better than this nonsense!!!! 😡😤😠

Our company switched to this for scheduling, I don't use the banking aspect. The schedule viewer isn't user friendly. You can't edit your notifications for specific positions - I get many notifications on a daily basis for shift trades at other locations that are completely unrelated to my job. When one does come across for my position, I have to go to the desktop to see where it is as the app won't show me. Terrible compared to our previous scheduling app.

Here's my summary of using this app, when i first started using it (about a year ago) its was very useful and worked well. Then about 3 months ago, it started to get really buggy (crashes, not loading right, wrong info). it was still usable though. Fast forward to today, and its completely useless. Doesnt provide any useful features. Now everything is a "premium" feature. Also, their "support" team is beyond useless. Don't even waste your time.

So far so good, took less than a day to verify everything, and the app is very easy to navigate! Having issues getting advances as all of a sudden they stopped being able to see my past direct deposits which makes it impossible it receive advances now :'-(. Hopefully it fixes but it's been a week and no change. Will update if it changes

I gave this app 5 stars and had for 3 years. But for months now I've tried to get help and it goes nowhere. My bank account is on their list of approved accounts yet I can't ever get it to connect right. Then when I try to click on all my direct deposits it errors out. Says I don't show enough transactions. I've had help claim the issue is fixed 4 times. When I reply saying it's not I get ignored or the one time I got a reply it took 10 days. Still isn't working. I have 6 stores using this app.

The app is defective which can prevent you from borrowing. It predicts a payback date and it won't let you confirm the date because it is not available to select. The terms of the transfer also shows that they are a predatory app as they were 3.99 one week and upgraded to 4.99 for the instant fee. If I have to pay a fee I am not leaving a tip. Also the take all the money at once so I'm like why can't I borrow all my money at once. Customer service is nice but pointless because they can't fix it.

Almost a waste of my time now.. I use to be able to get an advance but once the app updated and went with the new card payment method I have not been able to advance. It always says spending too much and I'm always having to update my income and verifying my deposits. It's funny because it's only bills coming out. Something is definitely wrong with the app now.

When I first downloaded it, it advanced me $13, which really saved the day (that was sarcasm by the way). Then after that it never would allow me an advance ever again and never recognized when I was at work those 40 hours a week I was there even though my location was turned on. What a disappointment. UPDATE 10/29: After months of issues, branch is finally working. Thank you for fixing problems. Giving 4 stars, took one away because it was 5 months of problems before resolved.

Inconsistent and Inconvenient is the best description. The app only allows you to take the approved amount in increments, thus increasing the fee you pay, if you aren't using their bank card. The app FREQUENTLY disconnects from your Bank or malfunctions verifying the information so when you need a loan, it's a possibility that you won't be able to obtain it. Customer service is incredibly slow. I've been waiting 4 DAYS FOR A RESPONSE. Update: Its 2021 and consistent issues remain. Uninstalling

So this was a really good app! Not sure what is happening with it now..I keep getting an "OOPS cannot connect to plaid" error, I hit the try again button and nothing happens. I did send a note into cs but have only received an auto response. EDIT: So I was contacted by cs. Was told that I had to pay back my current advance because of some sort of bank verification. They can't "clear" the error until I do. I have always been in good standing with my advances...deleting app at the end of the month
