Generally the play is good. However, on more than a few occasions on defending, the app ignores basic signalling or prior bids. This allows a contract to make that shouldn't. Sometimes during competitive bidding, as my partner, the app will not show support for my suit even with 4 or more.12/20/19- One other item that is annoying. My computer partner can have a bust hand and passes my repeated takeout doubles below the 3 level.1/22/22-No improvement since earlier review.

This is a good app for beginners and intermediate players. I like the feature of being able to reolay a hand to see how bidding or offense could be improved. Defense is hard to get right, but the developers have done a good job. Your partner is consistent, but wooden. I don't observe this improving after plqying a lot of hands, so unclear what the neural net is for.

It is a pleasure playing bridge with this app. I played rubber bridge for many years in the 1980's/1990's but seldom since. This app is a great way to learn the new modern bidding system as it has the capability to explain all bids and all possible responses. Opponents can be set at various levels of expertise. this app is easy on the eyes even on a cell phone. Enjoy!

Overall it is a very good game. However, with the the default settings east/west get 80% of the cards. Over several days, I have had very few hands to bid. I mostly pass. It doesn't seem very random. For that reason I am thinking about removing it!! Update: I tried it again but ended up removing it. There is an ad after every hand which is annoying. Also North's bidding is poor. It opens hands without any playing tricks and is very very conservative. It's defense ignores my signals.

I can't yet compare to other apps but this is very easy to play and the computer plays logically for the most part. If it is an AI, it will get better. The ads are tolerable at this point... **** 'Partner' doesn't seem to understand when we have a part score to quit bidding. Will for example go on to bid 4S when a 2 would do the trick ***

Really strong bridge app. Explains the conventions it's using, plays smoothly. My two quibbles: 1) app doesn't remember my "don't show this again" choices about tips in between play sessions, and 2) wish I could reorient dummy's hand to match my hand, as far as high to low. A bit disorienting as is. But great game overall. (Edit - developer says they're working on the first, and that UI settings fix the second. I see an advanced UI setting for sorting South's hand, but not for sorting North's hand low to high; it's always high to low, which is a little odd to me. But again, great game, nice of the developers to reach out.)

Why is my partner always jumping out the window with their bids?? Horrible AI doesn't know when to pass and when to bid, no matter what level I set them at. The basics of the app function well, but bidding is essential to this game and the AI does not understand the standard bidding system. I replayed a hand my partner had previously passed on and altered my bid (still on the 1 level), so my AI partner decides this time they want to go for a small slam. What do you know? Set by a mile. Great bid

Good screen layout, good play options, good tailoring features. It provides good learning and practicing opportunities by allowing one to step back and redo the previous play or even the whole game. The game plays reasonably well, but is excessively slow in playing a card when configured to play certain options. Partner rarely returns opening lead, which can be frustrating, especially when I keep telling him this and he won't listen.

I use to play party type bridge. I have not played anything in years. Your program is helping me get back in the groove. I can see this program!!! Most are too small for old eyes. Continuing to enjoy your program. Bidding has certainly changed over the years. Trying to take everything in. Thanks for updates. Still loving your program! Trying to tell friends to get it.

I find this to be the best bridge game available. Many options. I did finally spend a whopping $4 to remove ads... they were starting to get pornographic. My only question is how computer comes up with some outrageous bids , such as 6 spades when it only has two low cards? Maybe a miscue on my part; computer is set for most difficult: 6. In any case, thanks for the app! p.s. Do I have to uninstall old game and reload game after I buy it?

Às a returning bridge player I see this earning an easy 5 stars. With the AI set at level 3 it plays a consistent, dependable game, makes hints available when requested, allows me to look at the last trick or to see all hands when I simply must cheat, and lets me go back a trick or two to test different plays. In short, it's a patient tutor, a good partner, will let me learn to play duplicate when I'm ready and has been a lot of fun. The ads are well placed at the end of games and dont distract.

Very elegant. Bids pretty accurately but it's play of the cards, especially in defense is a bit suspect. Opening lead is especially weak. Would be nice if it were able to how it's decision tree or whatever method it uses for computation. I am enjoying it, but it is not helping me improve. i would like to see better contrast in the biddong layout. it is difficult for me to distinguish between clubs and spades. also not easy to see the available bids.

Helpful for learning biding conventions, however the AI is terrible playing on defense such as not returning partners (your) lead suit, playing high when ducking is called for, etc. It's best for leaning to bid, what the options are and what each bid means, but it's not intuitive at actually paying the hands, and in my experience actually emphasizes the wrong way to play, so I took 2 stars off.

Fantastic for practice, can be modified extensively. 2 minor complaints - it has ads that pop up after nearly every game; and clubs are a bit difficult to distinguish from spades since they both point in the same direction and look similar in low light situations. Once again, these are only minor issues that don't take anything away from a five star experience.

Good as far as it goes- as a beginning player it is helpful, especially in learning to bid. However, in the card play, it gives no explanation as to why it recommends the cards to play. One is left to guess the strategy, with no guidance whatsoever. Also has no instruction as to what the scoring terms are and what they mean, or how to bid based on the scores.

Best bridge app I've found, with lots of options to give you the games and bidding systems you want to play. There are rarely weird bids from the partner AI, mostly in over bidding with a partial, and sometimes seeming to forget about 5 card major openings, thinking there is but 4. Most of what else might seem weird bids are just advanced bidding variants the app will explain for you. And the bidding system can be customized.

Excellent game for an AI based app! Great hints for learners. Nicely customizable parameters for getting it to deal you the hands that you want to practice. Is it perfect? Of course not. But the support is quite responsive if you run into problems or questions. Don't understand the folks complaining about the ads. In the help menu you can pay one inexpensive price to never see ads again in this app on any of your devices.

This app works well for me. It has a nice look and the AI game play is accurate (it knows to attack subtle vulnerabilities, such as transportation). However, double dummy answers for a hand sometime seem to depend on poor play, having best-bid hint before offering full bidding options seems backward, and the AI quickly loses its way if I make what I think a more appropriate bid (I've been playing SAYC at highest AI level level; there are other conventions and levels offered).

The reason I give this 3 stars is because it's still fun to play bridge despite its glaring flaws. The AI bidding is absolutely absurd, particularly with your partner. North throws out crazy, inexplicable bids, leaving you with impossible hands to play. Also, if you follow the AI's suggested bidding option you'll only get to play the hand about 1 out of 4 times. Really annoying. I know they say they're trying to fix the problems. Until they do, the game can be super frustrating.

every card shuffle seems like a setup. opponent knows every hand quiet well, even before it starts playing. programmers dont have any idea to develop, seperate identity. total waste of time. I just wanted to add a little more as there is a reply. no app can be random unless there is an AI involved. than again, this app won't be free for sure. as a programmer I know how you've created the levels of this game. can't be random guys. good try guys. sorry I couldn't change my professional opinion.
