I can't see any new messages that people post. I'll scroll down and it'll shoot me back up to the beginning of the message. Even though my notifications are turned on I haven't been getting any notifications and I might lose my job because of it.

Hi Buildertrend app Team, a few updates previously I was able to download photos including sharing those photos from within the app using Gmail, messenger etc. Whichever update it was seems to have broken the download feature and now sharing doesn't work either. Furthermore, the app now takes a very long time to load onto the phone. Might be worthwhile to check.

As of the latest update, it says it cannot connect. Unusable. Also, when my contractor creates a new project and sends me an email, it always tries to make me create a new account. It's not very good for repeat customers. When it works, it's OK. But it doesn't work that often. Needs a lot more dev work to be beneficial.

Frustrating! Not user friendly, hard to find things, and the updating is annoying. Every time you update you kill the old version and force the update. Every time! So if I'm in a hurry to respond to the builder, I'm stuck waiting to update. Most of the time I use the web site and avoid the app. Wish my builder used something other than Buildertrend.

The app ignores custom notification settings and pushes all notifications. In jobs that are huge with multiple coworkers submitting daily logs and updating to do lists and more, your device will get absolutely flooded with notifications annoying you to the point of disabling app notifications entirely, and you miss important notifications for a specific category due to this. Not to mention that the service sends emails for each notification, thus getting notified twice with no way to change it.

Clock in twice and clock out twice is dumb. Then having to save and approve my shift is also dumb. If required to use this app on non work phone out in bfe, it should track my data usage to reimburse me. Since I can see how much data it uses in my settings, and all the stuff it accessed, and uses like location. Why not uses it to help the poor bastards chained to this ever watching eye over your shoulder oppressive app. But other than that, hlad, my hours are exactly right....

Overall useful tool. A few features that need adjusting, when adding shifts, a review option before submitting would be useful. Also having the time default being the current date, for some reason my date might vary from 1 to 2 days ahead of the current date? As wells time default starting with am instead of current time. We only use the add a shift instead of time clock, not sure why but, it becomes a frustrating and overthinking situation when adding time. Galaxy note 21 ultra

I use to love this software but it's horrible now. They keep having more and more issues and it's very unstable. Don't get it because once your business is integrated into it it will be difficult to switch. I'm working on finding something else because I can't excess my information and I loose a lot of business because of it. Also much of the information just disappear.

The new update on the app is no good The downloading of files and photos is much more difficult. The old version would tell you how many photos that you were trying to upload. And as it Uploaded them, it would say one of however, many photos has been complete. And when they were not completely Uploaded properly. It would tell you which photos were not on the new version I download 20 to 30 photos a day per job. When I go to upload them , you get a spinning dial that says uploading ,

Leaving a negative review in hopes the Devs fix a major issue: on multiple occasions I've lost what I've written into daily logs or other entry fields when I switched to another app by accident, like when taking an incoming call. There is no auto save function or draft function, so any content is lost unless you specifically hit save. Since this isn't 1998 anymore, there is no reason this basic functionality shouldn't be included.

Our contractor uses this app, and preferred to keep all of the business transactions, communications etc kept within the app. Sure, fine...used it paid through it, got a third installed payment request, paid it, and was so close to being something that worked for both parties seamlessly. Until it didn't. It's 2023, the fact that monies have to pass through so many "hands" caused our payment to get hung up, after paying immediately upon receipt, making us look bad to contractor.

Supposed to be able to use for work, but I can not log in, or reset my password. I get the email link to reset, which opens the app login page again, but nothing is responsive at that point. It also wants far more permissions than neccessary. More than it states up front, when you start digging in. I suppose, if it was strictly a work phone and paid for by an employer, no big deal, but otherwise, forget it.

Often times I'll attempt to upload pictures and it won't do it, OR it'll say it won't upload when it actually did and I end up uploading duplicates. I used to be able to look at Open or Closed shifts, I did so to keep track of my hours, now I can't even do that from the app. This latest update with GeoFencing is straight BS, I clock in at the shop when I load up tools and hitch the trailer, because I AM WORKING! Now it sends the administrators a notice saying I was not at the jobsite.. total BS!

I lost several hours work on a lead proposal TODAY AGAIN! l priced out 15+ line items, typed them all up, saved each one as I went. For some reason, my computer froze. I rebooted and went back to the estimate. And what did I find? All my work gone. Why? Because the line item SAVE button only saves between line items. NOTHING is saved to the document unless you end your session and press the final SAVE button. So basically, you have to back out of the document every line item. SO FRUSTRATING.

The software is meh... There is functionality there, but navigation is terrible, actually finding the information you need,... worse. By far the worst part however is the level of 'unprofessional' brought by their development process. Its as if they are sitting there and saying "hey, let's try this"... then uploading the changes without any testing, warning, training, or documentation. When asked about it... complete blow-off. On any given day, you can open the app and find that the functionality or interface have changed and you have to 're-learn' processes... again. Do yourself a favor and find a different tool.

Our company purchased this program and tried to roll it out to the staff. Everything is pretty solid except for the estimating portion. It is a poor design that is not very well thought out. For $300/month it wasn't worth it. Plus, the ever-shrinking window everytime you click on a tab is aggravating because you don't have the option to expand. I've used two different programs over the last decade that were simple yet still much more fluid than this build. KISS.

We used Buildertrend for our construction company for about a year. Overall the program is pretty good, but the phone app has some big limitations compared to what you can do from a computer. You can't view estimates or proposals without viewing the "full site" through your phone browser and that is not a pleasant experience. Also, in the last month they DOUBLED the monthly fee for the service. It's far too expensive when there are better, cheaper options out there.

Love BT, and have become real familiar with the program! I absolutely love the web version, but I'm not a fan of the app. It is definitely improving, I do feel it's getting more and more user friending, for me it just isn't there yet. I prefer the web version, i know it must be difficult trying to condense everything down to create an app that's functional. Will still continue to utilize this service!

For almost $10,000 a year, I am very disappointed. Almost every part of their software has failings that make it hard and cumbersome to use. There could be so many easy things they could do to make it as powerful as they claim it is, but at the rate they seem to make improvements 9r fix hugs, it may take years to reach its potential. It seems like it was started by a builder who knew construction, but software engineers took over, and now it often times the process doesn't make sense 4 building.

It's almost good. App won't work offline on some phones. The offline time entries won't let you enter shifts, only clock in/out, so not useful for us. If the app had offline files or other accessible data for viewing, it may be helpful. BT has limitations that have been frustrating to get it to work for our us. Great support, but if changes aren't made to facilitate how we do things, it's not worth the $8-$12000 annual cost. At that rate, easy tweaks we ask for should be taken more seriously.
