Definitely closing it out and canceling. The first deposit I made was $40 and my daughter was out of town without me because I was being tested for MS and Lupus. The money still did not show after two weeks and after emaing back and fourth, I was told that they could only deposit $35. A couple weeks later I added another $12, and that money never did show in the account but shows it was taken. My daughter chose to put $5 in a stock and we have not ever been able to access it. Very disappointing.

Redesign removed the "Get Cash" option and without a timetable to return the feature. Support suggested using the card option, which costs extra per child and doesn't allow cashing out without extra cost. Update: the app is updated and back to being solid. Still disappointed in the support response when I had the problem, but they probably we working within constraints given to them. Wish it was still free, but such is business.

We have not started using this app yet because I wanted to do a lot of research before implementing a new system. I love the concept. Love how excited my daughter got when we talked about it. But in my research I found spelling errors on the website. I know this is not a huge issue, but it tends to look like a scam, like a spam email. I will most likely use the app but not the Visa card aspect for this reason. The low stars are for this reason alone as we have not used the app yet. I will update in the future. I also wish there was a web based aspect, sometimes I find it easier to use the computer rather than always using the phone to do things.

I closed my account almost a year ago as it was continuing to pull funds after I tried to stop transfers. I continued having funds pulled after the account was closed because "the debit cards weren't closed". Seriously?! Apparently, I still have funds in my closed account and was not reimbursed fully. Not sure if this has been fixed, but that is completely unacceptable.

This is an awesome app! Since being quarantined, my daughter doesn't do much, so this app actually helps keep her motivated and on task. She is constantly asking for new toys, so now she can work towards her goals and buy herself. I have told her that she will only get paid if she does her chores without prompting. I would like to know if there is a place that the "never" chores go? I don't necessarily need her to do somethings on repeat.

Love it! I wish we could reorder the chores once they've been added. I want to set them up in a particular order to build a routine, but no. I think some people have trouble with the fact that after they pay their kids in the app, they then have to load that money onto the card before they can use that money. Once we figured that out, we've had no problems. I even pay myself to motivate me to do those tasks i tend to neglect. I use the money to buy myself splurge items that i wouldn't normally.

Useless. You can't load money on it in any intuitive way, or with any instructions. I even see that my funding source has been set up, but "load card" doesn't let you load from that funding source. I tried calling for assistance twice, only to have to leave a voicemail. This app/product looks great on the surface, but is in now way remotely ready to work in practice.

They said sign up takes 3-4 minutes. It doesn't. It took an hour just to load half our banking info and then the website kept crashing. Now I get to spend time with customer service trying to figure out what they're doing with half our banking info, since providing a kid's banking service doesn't seem to be it. Horrible registration experience. We will be doing greenlight for sure.

Had been using this with good results until today. Funds are always over to my son for both a bonus or chores within a few minutes of approving. Today that is not the case and it is very disappointing to my 11yr old who wanted to go shopping. We will rethink continuing with this app.

I decided to do the BusyKid for my kiddos. To help show teach them that just like us- when you work you earn and when you don't- you don't earn. It's disappointing that just like our debit cards- they're cards are apparently very easily hacked. However, there is nothing that notifies you until their account is emptied and you get notification that a purchase attempt was declined and then additionally you get charged for the multiple purchase attempts the hacker makes.

I like the app but my annual fee tried to get taken out when I didn't have funds available, once I did, the annual fee posted to my account, since then I've tried adding money to both my kids cards and they have been pending for days even though the money was withdrawn from my bank account. Now there's an error message that "the primary parent did not finish setting up account". The account has been set up for months. Issue should have been resolved immediately once the fee was paid and posted.

Borderline Criminal. This app used to be free (unless you wanted a debit card). I used my debit card to load up my kids account. They then decided to change to a monthly/annual fee and sent one single email out saying you needed to opt out or they would start charging your card on file. I never saw this email. What's diabolical is they immediately charged us all the annual rate meaning all it took was you missing one single transaction for the year. I was lucky to discover it Year 2. Criminal.

Simple setup and it does motivate my child, but there are some things that could use improvement. Kids are unable to set goals, which is very important in learning financial skills. Instead of only having stocks kids can save for, make it more realistic for items they would actually save up for. Also, being able to award points as opposed to only cash should be an option. Please add these abilities so I can improve the overall rating of this app.

We have been using the app and the cards for 2 to 3 weeks and we all LOVE it. The one downfall I have come across is that most of the things they want to buy are online and I don't want to enter their debit cards online, I have but I choose to personally only use credit cards online not debit. So it would make it a lot easier if we we could transfer money from their card back into our accounts after making purchases online with our credit cards.

I thought this app was great until they took a fee out of my account for a subscription I hadn't signed up for. It was extremely frustrating because supposedly an email was sent out, but I never received it. However, the customer service was amazing! They were very understanding and explained everything to me and I quickly realized what was happening and why I was being charged. They were able to quit my subscription and give me my money back very easily.

So helpful in motivating my kid! I love the give, save, spend features and that you can give your kid a bonus too! I do wish that you could add multiple funding sources and a link for outsiders to send the kid money... Hopefully that will be in a future update. Also, the debit card fees seem a little steep but the features are awesome, so we'll see if it's worth it in the long run.

Good app high transfer fee. I love the idea and implementation is pretty s straight forward. It can be installed on all family members, devices and synced. Major downside is the monthly subscription cost plus a 8% fee every time you transfer money to your kids. I pay roughly $4 a month for the subscription and on average pay my kids $180/month split between them. 8% of $180 = $14.40 + $4.42 monthly subscription and that totals to $18.82/month to use the app. Looking for alternatives.

Love love love love the new app! It is far more intuitive and user friendly than versions in the past. I absolutely love that everything for each child can be seen on the dashboard. Where I used to have to dig for information I can easily see what needs to be seen, send a bonus when necessary, change chores all in one place. THANK YOU for giving us this update!

We really like the BusyKid system, so far. My 11 yo daughter has taken to the chore concept very easily and we like the ability to split payments between the spend/save/share categories automatically. I really like the concept of the Savings Match but would really like to be able to finely tune the parents interest rate. I would like to see an editable text box to set the interest rate in fractions of a percent. The levels set for the current slider are way too high. I can only dream of an investment that would pay me 25% interest compounded weekly or bi-weekly. Great, useful app. Looking forward to seeing more refinements in the near future.

It's great but getting frustrating. I am having trouble updating the chore price ammount as it does not reflect the change in each profile. For example I changed the price to clean kitchen and only one profile reflected the change. It says it saved but when pressed "i did it" it still rewards the wrong ammount. Please help me fix this. I really want to like this app. Overall it is pretty easy to use so I'm hoping it is just a new user issue.
