I've uninstalled this app numerous times because it won't let another website direct to a specific article. If I'm in Facebook and see a quiz I'm interested in and click on it the BuzzFeed app does not open and take you to the quiz, it takes you to the homepage of the app. It's ridiculous that if I try to click on a specific BuzzFeed article advertised on an outside source that I can't even access it.

I came here because it was recommended as an app for news. Well if that is news, its new to me. Critical writing skills comparable to drunk middle schoolers, a bias that makes small towns in Midwest America look open, and relevancy comparable to the opinions of dementia patients stuck in the 60's. Its not all terrible though, the layout was viable, and the ability to find articles is viable.

If I could give zero stars I would. Don't receive updates for days, it's just the same recycled junk that's been here for weeks. The Quizzes are silly and each site that you're transferred to wants access to your phones data and storage. & I've been having a technical issue with my account, resulted in a deactivation and now I'm not able to have an account anymore, so there's a bug in your protection software and have no way to reach a help representative. Thanks for nothing.

Love the content, hate the app. It has been crashing nonstop, and when it's working articles dont load! And I dont know if its the app or Instagram, but if the article does load the insta stuff wont load. There seem to be layers of problems with this app. But, again, I enjoy the content. Its frustrating.

It's like 9/10 articles are just long lists of things you should buy. There nothing interesting to read because every article is "56 items you should buy" "99 items under $30 that will change your life" the rest of the articles are all recycled, they even have the same title with slightly different content and everything is just a copy of reddit. They have gotten so lazy.

If I have one app that is super consistent, it would be this one. It consistently dies, lags, goes unresponsive, or otherwise stops working several times a week. Many of the quizzes do not work at all. Articles won't load. I have no comment on the content beyond saying that it is also inconsistent wnd of dubious attribution. Best avoided by those over 40 or anyone who regularly reads reddit.

Used to really like to scroll through this app to waste time, and now that's all its really good for. I like looking at what's trending for food recipes, and sometimes Amazon lists but those are just wastes of money. Besides, what's the point of looking through for recipes and such when I can't bookmark things anymore???? It says it's bookmarked, but once I leave the page I can't view the bookmarks anymore, even if I log in. It's garbage.

Buggy! The app randomly closes! If it doesn't close then it will "refresh" back to the top of the feed! Most articles are completely blank, don't load, or videos don't work...... Considering the infrastructure, you'd think that they'd at least have the app working properly....Or, maybe, the app only works 100% with Apple products? I've got a HTC.

I don't know what it is, but no videos will load in the app. I've had this issue for nearly two months now and it's frustrating as most of the content featured is videos. Everything else works fine with maybe a slight lag in the loading but better than not loading at all. I love Buzzfeed. Im in it every day. This video issue though is just😫

Difficult to see most of quiz results while in dark mode, doesn't let me like comments unless I write one, often very very slow to load pages, even when pages finally show up it doesn't load all the way, also there's no way to customize and edit my profile or anything. This app has potential to be a lot better but honestly? You're better off using the desktop version unless you have time to kill while using this app :(

There's an advertisement somewhere on the BuzzFeed app that keeps saying, "Ready, set!" But I don't even see this ad. The voice keeps popping up as I use the app, whether I'm scrolling on the homescreen or reading an article. It's really annoying, and gives you quite a scare since you never know when it's going to happen. It makes me not want to use it anymore.

It's okay. I originally downloaded it because it trended light-hearted, happy news and provided a nice break in my day. (Also had some good recommendations for products and services.) However, the articles have gotten extremely vitriolic and divisive over the last year and I now feel personally attacked by just about every opinion piece. I just don't need that energy in my life, so I'm cutting the cord. App is easy to use though. Kudos for that.

I turned notifications off. I still get notifications 🙄 Aside from that, it's the usual fun news to (mostly) numb the pain of real news. And yes I recognize sometimes BF reports on "real" news, but I prefer to use it to browse silly fashion articles, celebrity gossip, and surveys that always incorrectly guess the thing.

Ad playing sound. No idea where ad is. The first time it happened, I went through all the apps running in the background to see what was playing the obnoxious sound and after closing all of them, it turned out to be buzz feed. Any ad ive seen on the screen is either a static ad that looks to not make noise or is a video that is already muted so I don't know what the hell is making noise but I wish it'd stop.

It's not possible to reset your account password from the app. I click the "forgot password" link, enter my email address and get an email with a link to update my password. When I click on the the link provided, it just takes me back to the home page of the app. There's no option to update the password. I can start the process all over but its always the same results.

Pretty good app. It's so good at guessing sometimes it's kind of creepy. Other times it is completely wrong. Quizzes are fun. It also gives you news. But one time I think I tried making an account and then I never did and now it messed me up completely making an account and now I can't remake one. Not any ads at all except for the tiny image ones that you see when you scroll down. Other than that no ads. Recommend to anyone who likes seeing news or taking quizzes. Super easy-to-use .☺️

Honestly... not great. The content is so much fun, when you can get it to stay open. Most of the time, it pauses in the middle of an article and closes, either taking you to the previous screen, or crashing the app altogether. You would think that an internet based news outlet would have a decent app. Unfortunately, that's not the case.

1/31/19: finally uninstalled after not using the app for several weeks. Could care less about the hardhitting journalism or politics slant. I'm tired of all the "listicles" that are just ads for things to buy. That's not real content, guys. Links are broken, pictures don't show up and formatting is off on some quizzes for me. Used to use this app a lot, not so much anymore because everything is a flipping ad!

I just downloaded the actual buzzfeed app but I been having fun doing the buzzfeed quizzes via goooglr chrome. I can tell that I will be doing the quizzes alot more now that I have the app. I i know the quizzes aren't the only things I can do. I wanna try and make my own quiz one day for the fun of it. that's the whole point of buzzfeed. I also love the articles that tell you what products are trending. I'm excited to utilize the app :-)

You know you're not getting news when you go on Buzzfeed, but it's good for some entertainment when you're bored. The issue with the app is that you can't check who has messaged you or replied to your comments, but you can if you're on the actual website. If they'd allow you to see your comment replies on the app, I'd give it at least 4 stars, but that, mixed with the glitches of the pages that don't load correctly, land it a 3.
