what an absolute joke of an app. constant 'You've been away a while' then I have literally just logged in. why is it so hard for app developers to 'develop an app'

It used to be 3 stars, but over the past year, buying a ticket has become more difficult. Now, it wants you to specify which station you wish to load your card on and then doesn't give a full list of stations on the line to choose from. The smart card collection option never appears first time, and an error forces you to select the ticket again.

Constant failure at payment page means each booking takes two or three attempts. When try to use evouchers, I'm charged but don't received ticket or email confirmation. Constantly missing out on discounted fares because it takes days to purchase a ticket. Painfully difficult to enter journey times as it constantly wants to change the return journey to the following day.

This app is the pits and I would award minus 5 stars if it was possible. It just doesn't work. You can't order tickets and there's no telephone support. Was told to email my queries but they quote 20 days for a reply! Moreover the agent I spoke to was rude. I'm not going to risk paying for tickets and losing money. Smart card there's a joke. The app is rubbish. Worst app ever.

Temperamental and doesn't work the way it should a lot of the time. Also loading ticket purchased to smart card via NFC is very hit and miss. More often than not now, it just won't load, even after waiting several minutes and I'm constantly getting stuck at the barrier and having to show an email booking confirmation to security team.

I've had nothing but trouble with this app since it first launched. There have been multiple occasions when I've been double charged, the app has crashed while I've tried to purchase, I've been locked out even though my log in details are correct and now I can't book a ticket at all let alone load it onto my smart card. I currently can't select a station to collect my ticket. If you are a smartcard holder you can only get your benefits half the time because of all these issues. Terrible

It's ok, but I'm still having issues after purchasing a bundle of Flexi tickets. The app cuts out after payments and therefore no confirmation number or email. The tickets do load onto my card eventually, but the unnerving wait, and no confirmation number as evidence, cause me added stress every time I buy new tickets. I have phoned C2C at least 4 times to explain the issue, but I'm always told to wait and it will be resolved.

The worst app I've ever used. Full of bugs, claims to remember my Railcard, but doesn't. Always get the "oops something went wrong" message. Always need to enter my address and payment details (never remembers). Still has my old smart card registered, which I'm told cannot be removed. Trouble selecting a start day and time (errors that the end day and time must be after, which is fine, but let me make the change, I've not done end date time yet!). Often doesn't load and doesn't tell you. Awful.

App is terrible, I have only been using the app a few weeks and multiple times I have bought a ticket and then it says "There was an error" but I get charged anyway. Typically train companies robbing their already prisoned consumer base since I have to buy the ticket or how else am I going to get to work. Oh yeah and if you want a refund, better be willing to wait 28 days. Not worth it, stick with paper.

When selecting "repurchase" it finds trains a f t e r the time of the ticket you are trying to repurchase, ensuring you have to complete the whole process again. It doesn't remember details like address and postcode, despite it being the only one used on the app ever. Tickets regularly fail to load onto your smart card, so that you need to show emailed receipt to station staff to gain access to or from the platform

Shockingly bad. Buying tickets, which should be a quick and easy process, is laborious and not user friendly. Checking train times shows a loading wheel before even being able to select the stations and then loads a blank page. EVERY TIME. This app (and the station ticket machines) induces a lot of frustration before the journey has even begun.

3 weeks on the trot now it keeps coming up with an error while trying to buy tickets on the app, but still putting authorisations on my account which can take 5 days to drop off customer service doesn't care and says they are looking into it, yeah right

app has been broken for 2 weeks when you click on live travel and click on the train time it crashes and goes back to the home screen please fix

Matthew Tilbury

when you click on the trains in the live section the app crashes, signs you out and this repeats over and over. Rendering that part of the app useless.

Terrible app. Very user unfriendly. I've used this for nearly a year, I've never once had a travel update, never once had an automatic delay-repay as promised. If I look for updates, it'll tell me a train has been cancelled, etc, but not what time it will be/was due at a particular station. It also logs you out periodically so you can't buy a ticket without your password, even with the fingerprint option. Won't add network card to travelcard, when it does on the website. Absolutely disgraceful.

Shocking that it doesn't correctly apply Railcard discounts, and won't let you buy etickets for ticket types their website says you can. Waste of time.

App has stopped working on Android. once in the app you select a train and time and it states you need to log in again and then crashes.

The app has a bug and it hasn't been addressed yet. I emailed C2C but no response yet. When I go to live travel it either crashes or it tells me that "you've been away too long and while you're away we're making improvements in the background" or something to that effect. Before I wrote this post I read through the latest reviews and they're all 1-star and with the same issue, and it seems that C2C doesn't care. This has been going on for weeks if not months. Sort it out C2C.

What a shame. Used to work fine, was able to buy a ticket, load onto Smartcard and done. Now twice it gets you to the payment page then says you have timed out. My phone is saying this app was last updated in Mar 2023 - and there are no other available android updates at the moment. For an app to be efficient there should be regular fixes. Not only that - you have tried to avoid queueing only to find out you have to anyway.

major bug if you try and look at live travel it gives you the list. however when you select the train you want, so you can see detailed destinations and arrival times it either closes the app or tells you that you have been away too long and you need to start again. it just goes in an endless loop.
