After using the app for a few years I am disappointed this year. It is very misleading as states you can pay for a premium video. Then afterwards you find out a "single premium video" is actually one relating to a phone call?! The app menus are repetative, hard to navigate and I feel are deliberatley trying to confuse people in to parting with more money. My son will be very disappointed to not get a video this year.

Utterly disappointed that I can't use the app properly. I purchased the wrong package, my own mistake but when I upgraded it has upgraded to subscription for 2021...no good for me now! Has taken 6 emails back and forth and still not resolved. I cant seem to upgrade i just get an error message which leaves me unable to create more than one video, when I have children on the verge of not believing, this doesn't help. Who would have thought upgrading would be so difficult 😕

Paid for a yearly magic pass and there is no ability to record my child's reaction. The Reaction Recorder does not work when I create new videos. I can see the reaction recorder icon when I click on an old birthday video but after we recorded it, it failed to upload. It's glitchy and slow and I'm quite annoyed. I purchased the $14.99 package last year and it was great! There is no benefit to the Yearly Pass if it's going to be so glitchy.

Video failed during video call with my 5 yr old. Purchased for reaction recorder and it did not record the reaction. It is extremely well hidden information that when the video ends and logo comes up. DO NOT touch your phone. We lost a once in a lifetime reaction because of the app that we paid almost $20 for. Very neat that it is so customizable, but do not rely on this app to work correctly. For the $$ it should be better.

Although I feel it does deserve 5 stars, the reason why I only give 4 is because I have been using the app for years since it was completely free. You used to be able to choose from more options, if the child was naughty or nice as well as add more pictures and said more to the child. Now those options you have to pay for. Overall a great app that keeps the magic in Christmas for the kids

This is such a good tool for Santa messages. The premium videos are well produced again. If you have older kids you need different videos as they can spot the same video. I would like it if they introduced Chromecast support and also when you are playing video on the phone/tablet it turns off if you have a timeout on your screen set. Needs to avoid this in future as i had to tap on my screen every 30 seconds. Apart from those small issues it still is a great app for Christmas eve.

I've use this app for 6 years, absolutely love the concept and it really is fantastic, I loved it even more because it was such a high quality app that was free, or affordable pricing for the extras, but every the free option and the app itself is really not that crash hot and anything decent to create they want to charge you, honestly I wouldn't waste your time, they have gotten greedy and clearly lost the Christmas spirit... REALLY DISAPPOINTING

This has been a tradition since day one in my house but i have to agree the other reviews. I keep getting asked to update the app. When trying to edit the videos, it wouldn't save the changes. Things from last year were showing up. I too paid for premium and was disappointed in the number of personalizeable videos. I do these for both my kids and it would be nice if the videos didn't start off the same. Hopefully it all gets fixed. Would love to continue these as long as my kids believe.

I have purchased the magic pass for the past 4 years. They have done great last year and the year prior. However this year it has been problem after problem and this happened in 2017. They are quick to respond but they keep asking the same question and I provide information and screenshots. They do not give a resolution. Their reaction recorder does not recorder when it states. I didn't get to capture their reactions. I wouldn't get the magic pass.

This app is great! I've been using it for years, but it sucks how you have to pay $12 just to DOWNLOAD an HD video that is free to create anyway. We should be able to download that for free too "HD". I lost all those cool videos i made through out the years for my kid, but I don't regret not spending a cent. By the looks of other people who DID pay for stuff in the app. They're still having problems.

I was very excited about this app. I absolutely love the website and have purchased the memberships the past couple years. I dl'd this app a few days ago, and ever since then I've been riddled with third party text messages, emails, and calls. This is the only new thing I've added to my phone in over three months, and I don't sign up for anything. I don't know of this was a fluke bug, or something that's hidden in the code for the app to be free, but I'm pretty disappointed.

Absolutely love this app. I stumbled on it while I was looking for a way to create a message from Santa for my 6yr old autistic grandson. Christmas is his absolute favorite time of the year, and this app is it, and so much more! Super customizable videos, and phone calls for every child plus activity's. Best of all is the ability to record a reaction when watching. Worth every penny. A brilliant, very well thought out app. Would have given 5 starts but has some minor glitches at times.

I have used this app every year and have loved it with no issues. The app is not allowing you to add pictures, once I get to the add photo selection it freezes. I've tried it multiple times from the app and through the web also Unfortunately I can not afford to pay for premium, and I wish their were more free options or ways to get longer videos.

This is an amazing app and I got the $13.99 deal for the first year and then it only goes up a dollar after that. I only gave it four stars instead of five because I think they should add more personal stuff in the videos about the child. Maybe more pictures and more details. Also there was a few glitches like the app not working right and when I picked my state, it only listed one city out of the whole state but overall this was so amazing for my son. Great experience. Lots of videos to make!!!

Love this app and have used it for years. Two things: let people remove old videos from the children's side without re-downloading them, and fix the videos with a big pause after Santa says one of the options. (One of the new videos is especially noticeable, and not the quality I've seen in past years audio-wise.)

This app has both phone calls and videos with great use of personalized names. I love that I can record her reactions too. Even the free videos are great and the price is very reasonable for the other options. 2017 Update - very few changes and she remembered several videos from the previous year. The bedtime stories still kept her very entertained. This may be only good for a single season.

Very user friendly. Pay for the upgrade. Its Christmas and it's worth every penny! Update...videos worked great again this year...the scheduled call on Christmas eve did not work like it has in the past...I tried to get the call scheduled multiple times and got very frustrated while trying to put the kiddo to sleep...I will probably pass on purchasing again next year...too bad cause this used to be a very fun application but now it just seems like there is too much going on!

This is a great app, but it's expensive. $4 per phone call, or $6 per video call. You can of course pay for unlimited packages which I also feel like quite a bit to spend for an app used for a small part of the year.. I have used a different phone call app for several years now that costs me $3 for the entire year.. its voice only, but unlimited calls with lots of customizations. If you have the means to spend this kind of money on app, then by all means this app is top notch. Too spendy for me.

I have used this app for a few years and last year paid for the magic pass for 10 years. I wrote last year how frustrating it is to have adds on the videos after paying for the service. This takes away from the experience and should be addressed, five stars if it can be modified. Otherwise, excellent videos that always bring a smile to our daughter's faces! Great personalization options and even ways to include my wife!
