I just noticed that thre calls, from different numbers, were all blocked in the last hour. No notification or notice bothered me while I was working. All the were bogus and not on my contact list. This is*great*!! Update: New Phone, Motorola G7, and with the settings on to black all but contacts, I am still getting the calls come through. :-( Reducing my star rating by one since it seems to be a compatibility issue with my phone.

For a while, I have been looking for an app that will send any call that is not on my contact list directly to my voicemail. This will let you contact the caller when you have the time. The only negative item that I can think of is the fact that, I believe, you cannot put restricted calls on the white list. Spammers do not use calls without an ID any more. As for text messages, I think I turned the blocking off when I set up the app.

Update: started working again after I installed a different blocking app which brought up a setting for default blocking app. This allowed me to select Calls Blacklist PRO. Old review: used this for blocking calls not in my contacts. Used to work great. Stopped working, probably after my phone (op5t) received the Android 10 update. The log shows the call as blocked, but the call goes through anyway. Please fix if possible. Thanks.

Used to work well. I initially gave it 5 stars but now area codes and numbers on my blacklist are getting through. I wouldn't have minded so much but this is the paid version so there shouldn't be these issues. Save your money and use the free version since there are no benefits from the paid one. Plus support doesn't respond to emails. I will be looking for a new app now.

I used the free one for a while... But liked it so good I went Pro... Awesome app, if you are bothered with sales reps, or even insurance companies calling, (especially if like me you are on Medicare and have to renew your supplement every year). Blocks those annoying calls, so that you only ring when it's someone you want to talk to!!!! It also doesn't add those annoying ads to your phone that so many other apps are guilty of doing!! Awesome app!!!! I highly recommend it, 👏👏👏🌹🕊

the call blocking is exceptional but the SMS is lacking seriously. I cannot even get pictures to attach to it and have emailed customer service with no response. If you're looking for for a straight-up call blocking app that you can select to decline all calls outside of your contacts list this is very good. I would just like some help with the SMS or they need to upgrade it to where I can at least attach a photo or two. Maybe it's possible but no customer support so far.

I've been using this app for more than the last year and it has been phenomenal! All calls not in my contacts go straight to voicemail, my life has been so peaceful. However, and just the past few weeks the app just plain does not work. I turn it on, it crashes. I've emailed the developer and no response. Unfortunately after uninstall this app and search for another solution, very disappointed because up until now this app was the best! :(

This product has quit working on Essential PH-1. April 16th, 2019, it's been several weeks now. Essential updates to the latest Android available, and two updates ago, it quit blocking calls on my blacklist. I've sent to emails to the developer, and have not received any response. I'm not sure if this will work on any other phone, I'm disappointed it no longer works on my phone. Try the free version before you purchase the pro version. No response after 3 emails.

It has a conflict with certain versions of android forcing default etc. It would be better if you were able to send photos and.lonks also when your using it as your main texting app. The best thing about it is no ads. Re installed on my new phone..doesn't seem to block at all anymore. I put in specific area codes and pre fixes yet calls come thru and fill my voicemail daily. Deleting it...don't waste your money.

A straightforward app that does what is needed. It would be nice to have wildcarding on the white list though... ANOTHER FOLLOW-UP: Again, probably through no fault of the dev, things have gone from bad to worse. After a recent update, apparently related to the standard Phone app's call screening feature, it is no longer possible to select another app as the default Phone app..., which is now required for the call blocker to work. So..., this app is now completely useless on Android 9 on a Pixel 3XL. FOLLOW-UP: Through no fault of the developer I believe, I have to reduce the rating of the app to 1 star. This is meant to bring attention to the apparent consequences of a Google policy change that effectively renders this app almost useless. I'm not 100% certain this is the problem, but starting Dec 17th or 18th, functionality related to callerid appears to be almost completely broken. FWIW, I'm on a Pixel 3 XL on Google Fi. Will restore rating to 5 stars if this ever gets usefully resolved. Update: callerid issue appears to be related to incoming calls via wifi using the Google Fi service. Since app works when call comes in via cell network, bumping up to 2 stars.

Still no fix on the sound notifications. If they have one, anyway. I wish they would make it a different sound. Well, I found another issue the notifications it stopped letting people know they got an sms Or they aren't loud enough. worked great. Then, after having it for a while, then things started to happen. The last upgrade fixed the last issue, so I deleted that complaint to write this one. The more issues that come up, the stars go down. Also, Avast is telling folks this is malware.

Almost perfect. I can enjoy receiving calls only from my contacts, and even block individual contacts if I want to. The only thing missing is the ability to block or allow numbers by a given string, like the are code and first three numbers, for instance. My old Note 9 could do it, but my "upgraded" Note 20 cannot. Other than that, perfect app.

Use to love Blacklist Pro. Worked it had previously worked great. The last 6 months it's a total failure. Tried reaching out to the developer and no reply. Every time I try to put numbers on the blacklist from the call log, it crashes. Get a notice from phone that it failed due to a Bug. The last time the developer worked on the App was in 2019. Don't waste your money.

This app used to be flawless! I recommended the paid version to everyone as the perfect way to get our lives back from constant unsolicited calls but still take calls from loved ones. For some reason, about a week ago, it has stopped it's entire ability to work. Calls come in constantly even though the spam filter and blacklist are specific. The app has become useless overnight. I even uninstalled it and tried again. Nothing. The app is now garbage. I guess maybe they sold to a third party. Sad.

Had this app for quite a few years now. Had some problems at first but they were fixed relatively fast. Overall, I am real happy with it. I have the paid version, as I do with most of my security related apps and the features are great. I would love to see one thing added. The ability to completely block a number. To be able to stop them from leaving voice mail messages. To me, block them means block them. I do NOT want to hear from them PERIOD! 😁🤓

One word: FANTASTIC!!! Used app for eight months now. After figuring out the proper settings, I no longer receive ANY spam calls, not one! Was getting 20-50 per week. Callers not in my contact list go to VM without ringing. Spammers almost never leave a message, so spam calls are blocked. Any new VM pops up a notification on Visual VM, which I listen to when I can. Be sure to set "Battery" to "Always" or "Never sleep" for this app or it may unintentionally terminate and let spam ring through.

So after using this app for 3 years without any troubles , this year( 2023 ) it's acting up. The little icon on top of my phone screen disappears for some reason . Have to go into the app and it appears again . I even installed it again what didn't helped at all. I'm wondering what causes this problem. Worked wonderful for 3 years. Hopefully somebody can tell me what's wrong. Update: Have a new phone and works good again.

This is the only app I've used for several years to block the daily deluge of spam, scam & robo calls & sms. It allows me to block everything not in my contacts list! And, it "rejects" the call or sms, which means I don't still have to hear it or see it "before" it's blocked! I paid $1.99 to upgrade to pro. Never had to pay anything again, and I've even changed phones twice in the last 3 yrs! I absolutely love this app! 😁

What a great app!! Set it up to block all calls not in my Contacts. They don't even ring, but are shown in a log if I choose to look. However the caller is given the opportunity to leave a message after the first ring and notications for the voicemail will work! This will get rid of all the spam calls that hang up without leaving a message (95%+) while allowing new numbers a way to contact me! Perfect!! Now I can pay attention again when my phone rings! Update: 2/20/2024 still working great!!

This app is better than most but has two annoying flaws. The first is blocked calls can still leave a voicemail, which sort of defeats blocking the call. Second, though I understand having to make the app default to block SMS messages, you cannot send pictures in the messages, so I am constantly switching from making Messenger default to making Blacklist default, as neither will work without being default.
