The best part of cardboard, the earth flyover mode, has been removed. This is seriously stupid. It was the most amazing thing ever and now there's only the boring demos left. How can you remove the one thing that made this thing stand out above other VR experiences? Please bring it back and let us enjoy Google Earth as it's meant to be experienced!

I was able to properly select the device I have, but when I try to complete the tutorial it won't let me move forward without pressing a button to start and my device doesn't have a button to press so I'm just stuck on the same screen. seems like a wonderful app, though, if I can get to the rest of it.

Should have much more proper lens customisation instead of relying on prefab "templates" from QR codes. Really lacking in details and very bare bones software that doesn't even allow for basic button mapping. Needs a lot interface options that it can't provide.

Two stars for a fun idea and making a successful connection, but it just doesn't pass my bluetooth keyboard through and without that it is pointless. My keyboard works fine everywhere else. Also, the display for the left eye is larger than that for the right and both are shifted from where they are in the standard cardboard viewer app. I received warnings at startup that it was for an old version of Android. Needs work to be useful.

After installing and while using my phone had brown lines across the screen and a faded screen which was what i would see when using vr also. Would have to turn off then turn back on for it to go away. Deleted the app. However it continued to happen from time to time even after deleting. Over time it worsened. Would become more frequent and would have to turn the phone off for longer. Got so bad I had to factor reset. Helped, but didn't fix it. Downloaded couple years ago.

Very useful for the calibration of the 3d engine and for the automatic correction of the lens parameters so you are able to the recieve the consistent experience every time with all different headsets etc. But when I am scan my 3D VR lenses box label I just always can se the type of my VR viewer is: Default Viewer and there is no any other choice is available. So for me right now that app is useless really. I hope this is useful for the of owners of another types of VR head set. 😆

You used to be able to take 360° panoramic photographs, VR videos, and other fun and useful stuff. Now it's been stripped down to an incredibly lame "demo" of 3D renders made by college students from like... 2005. Just like YouTube VR, Google Earth, and several other applications, they've stripped the functions from the applications and left these barebones placeholders up in the store. Thanks for ruining and taking away even more of our fun, all while pestering us with that Meta garbage.

Pointless Like many people I have found the latest version of the app to be pretty useless. A few years ago I had this app for taking panoramic pictures to send to my son in Japan, he also had a cardboard viewer. But the new version doesn't have any way of taking pictures or even uploading old panoramas from the previous app which I still have saved.

So you developers have made one point very apparent. You LOVE useless buttons. Especially when in vr you are very close to the screen. The two useless buttons on the top left and the top right are ridiculously annoying and there are no settings to remove them. As brilliant as you are these two icons are useless when using a cardboard. Make at least an option to remove them. They are not even part of apps or something. They are just like an useless overlay. Hope some dev sees this.

So cardboard is pretty good you can watch stuff on YouTube if you have the right cardboard and if you don't have cardboard you can just click on the screen go to settings and watch a VR but there's one problem about this you have to release your phone to quick stuff so but you can still download apps and stuff so 10 out of 10 or 5 out of 5 whatever

Yeah I've been constantly sending messages to you guys through your app through other means and there's still no information. So right now I'm just sick and tired of not being responded like getting any email back about anything. I'm very disappointed in your app. Your app does not have the website up to date because it's giving me error code 44 for me to get a cardboard viewer. So I think I'm going to have to uninstall this program and not even bother with a cardboard view or anymore or any!!!

I've taken many Vr photos with Cardboard Camera. I can see them with file managers, but unable to view them with Cardboard app. Camera app is no longer compatible w s24. I've really just lost all faith in Google, they keep abandoning anything good.

TERRIBLE. It "needs Daydream to run"...but somehow there is no compatible version of Daydream that is able to run on my latest Android OS updates. 😩😖😔💔💔💔😥😓 TF?! It somehow ran *just fine* on my old *exact copy* phone, but then my screen cracked w/o a protector this time, so I couldn't enjoy the experience anywhere near as much. So I got a new (replacement) phone...and *NOW* it doesn't work?? Come on, people! Us lower-middle class citizens dealt hard lives need some recognition, too!!

Add an option to bind buttons. Instead of tapping the screen, it would be nice to press the volume button, or a button on a headset. I'd also expect a setting to adjust the size of the screens. Small VR sets don't work as well on large phones, and phones with 2:1 screen ratios. Also, you shouldn't be allowed to charge more than $10 for any of the google carboard sets.

If it were to be updated for larger screens (Pixel 4 XL) it'd be perfect. As is, if I don't select a viewer, everything is fine. When I scan a QR code for a viewer (even one I meticulously calibrated) it shoves the lens to the right, with the centerline cut through the left lens. I then have to clear cache to get back to usable state. Other apps have no issues. Otherwise I love it and have use it off and on with my Moto X and Pixel XL with no issues. Maybe a calibration tool built-in please?

I have used this app in my school before and it worked well then. but using it with my own phone it doesn't work well at all. 1. the screen is too small so i have to flip my phone for a better view and even then most of my screen is black. 2. to optimize it for the specific viewer i have is to scan a QR code on the viewer. this app should be optimized for most viewers not for just it's own.

It is good for people who use the cardboard br headsets. I know it is not meant for people who dont use it but I would still like to. My headset does not have the button on the top right where I can click on the screen on my phone. I would like to use the relax feature in artic mode and look at the fox & birds. But to click on a button, i have to continually take my phone out and do it manually. If the feature that allows me to hover over the button to select it, that would be more convenient.

It works well. Recently however I've had an issue on my LG V30 where everything in vr mode is flipped 90 degrees clockwise. I haven't used the vr functions for a long while, but when I tried to do so recently, this bug kept occurring and made vr unusable. If there is a fix out there, please let me know, and I'll be able to bump the rating back up to a four or five stars. In its unusable state, it is currently, and unfortunately, only a one star for me.

I would have given a previous version of this app 5 stars, but the current version has removed the VR version of Google Earth. I have not had the opportunity to travel very much, so exploring the 3D models in VR through Google Earth was a fun activity for me. But without any warning or input from users, Google has taken that feature away, and there's not much going for the app without it. Unless you want to play Arctic Journey over and over, just skip this one.

To simple. Needs setting menue. It would be nice to be able to disable movement and manually lock the image in position for YT and compatibility with random AR devices for example. It would also be nice to have the full android experience available in this view. It would also be nice to be able to resize the over all output and move its location on the screen to he compatible with random devices.
