Well.... this was free 5 years ago when I first got my license. Crazy! Now there's a charge, disappointing 😞. Outside of that, DMV Genie was awesome. I never opened a paper book to study. Everything I needed was right here. I studied and received my license and all endorsements except passengers. Now I'm back to brush up on my HAZMAT. I gotta renew my license, and now there's a fee. Maaaaan. Outside of that NOW fee, THIS APP IS THE 🔥BOOM 🔥.

Passed my permit tests first try, and all I did was use this app. Would highly recommend, and definitely going to re-start my subscription when it comes time to add endorsements. Only thing I didn't like is you have to cancel your subscription in Google Play, and not that app itself, and there's no clear information about how to do that. I found it out from a response to a review

I used this app this app in conjunction with an app called, "CDL Prep" and I passed the general knowledge, air brakes, combination, tanker, and doubles & triples. Now, I know some one will respond below with a rebudle to the next thing I say but do not, I REPEAT, DO NOT PAY THE 20 BUCKS!!! You will not need to using these 2 apps. All the 20 bucks does is unlocks material already available to you for free and rewords the questions that are already on the quizzes.

Helped me pass my written in a week. Very accurate. Got a 96+ on each test. Very nice app, the questions are worded about 98% accurate. Makes it very easy to learn and memorize the way it will be.

This was very helpful - really. I used this to study for about 4 hours and went past the MD CDL test on Nov 7, 2023. I didn't need tanker but because it was offered, I took it and missed one - I didn't study for that one, so I went home download the tanker, studied for one hour and aced it the next day. Got all 16 correct, and the test stopped and said I passed. great study guide.

I haven't use this app in over 5 months and yet I keep getting charged a fee of 19.99 .. They should make it clear that this is a subscription and it's not a one time fee .. I put off getting my CDL for the time being only to still be getting charged a monthly fee for it .. almost $200 so far .. not cool at all .. not to mention there is no number to contact them .. go figure .. 🧐

It is a awesome program, that comes extremely close to all the questions that you will be asked on tests at the DMV. It made it so much easier to study. No matter what school for training you are going through for your commercial, you have to get the permit before they help you with anything moving forward. The app worked well and it was a good investment even if it is a bit expensive. I do wish that there was a way to exclude the ELDT curriculum and other questions that will not be asked on the multiple choice test because it adds a lot of volume to study for that is not strictly necessary at this stage of getting your CDL.

This app sucks bcs you only get the 1st few questions of the 1st test, then they want ys to spend $99 to test for the rest. There is a truly FREE site to take any/all the tests as many times as you want, but THIS isn't it👎 You should NOT be able to use the word FREE in your pop ups. It is misleading at a minimum. DMV IS FREE, 20 tests and you can take as many times as you like. Your pop up ads, are what people install limiting pop up search bars for!

I took the Special Rq,General,air brake, passenger, and school bus tests with one week of study and passed them all on my first try. This app is good. I didn't even open the CDL manual. At $20/month I think it is a little pricey for what it offers. One of the questions was incorrect. It was a question about the minimum pressure required on air brakes. There should be an option to take a random test from each category at any time. At least in the paid version.

The test did an inadequate job in terms of combination vehicle. There is a combo portion on the ct dmv test and the app has no section for it. The app did not cover this important portion of the test. The general knowledge section is not conclusive of this. I would now look elsewhere for a study guide or app. Update- I needed only go back and update the selections. I was able to pass the written tests on the first go.

I used this app to study for my Hazmat renewal. It was really easy to use. I like how the practice tests had correct answers with explanations. Plus the most current version of the CDL handbook is included. Doing the practice tests and reading the handbook practically guarantee you'll pass your exam at DMV the first time and you won't be nervous when you show up. I passed with a score of 90%. There were a couple questions where there was more than one right answer. The app is worth the money.

I really loved this app and it absolutely helped me to pass all of my testing. The only issue I'm having is trying to unsub from premium account. you need to make that easier to do. I still can't find where to do it and the charge today has caused my bank to go into the negative.

It's a good app but they should make it easier to cancel your subscription. With that being said if you study the questions they are on the test word for word. I passed the CDL Permit with 1 answer incorrect!! Aced it. Even the DMV employees were impressed how fast & how well I did!

The questions where ok. Used this app with the DMV manual and passed with only 3 days of studying. So I'll have to say material is pretty accurate. Make sure to read the sections in the DMV manual and you will pass first time hands down. I didn't miss a single question and finished each test in less than 10 minutes. Questions where word for word for the most part. There where questions not in the app so that's where reading the DMV manual comes into play.

I already have my class A cdl. However, I now wanted to get my passenger endorsement due to new laws requiring you to retake the general knowledge and air breaks test. I went to my appointment totally unprepared. After trying several different apps regarding cdl quizzes, this app was by far the most helpful and informative. I passed all 3 tests with no problem. I'm currently learning for the school bus endorsement test, and I'm very confident I'll pass the first attempt. Thanks, dmv Genie!

Why are there two different apps? Also, niether app will sync with the website's online web version. I paid $20 for the apps then paid another $49 for the premium web version. I signed into the app with the premium credentials and no syncing. Since the new truck driver training rules went into affect they revamped everything to be compliant, but there is still work to do on the site and app versions. Could be 5 stars if the issues get fixed.

This is a good study app. But there are questions on the doubles and triples test that show the wrong answer as the right answer. The question was "When uncoupling a set of standard doubles, which of the following steps is done first?" It shows the correct answer to be "Close the air shut off valves at the rear of the first trailer." However, that is totally incorrect. The actual answer is "Lower the landing gear". Update: Support team is on it! They have my screen shot. Thank y'all!!

It's a great app, if you study it will absolutely help you obtain whatever class/endorsement you are wanting to get. My only issue is, it's super easy to set up an account and give them money, but it's impossible to cancel it without reaching out to them or doing a bunch of extra stuff. I'm trying to cancel my membership and there is no option to do so.
