Hello, When I bought your temperature probe, I did not imagine there is no way to use the probe for its SIMPLE and most common use - to JUST read internal and ambient temperature as a function of time. That is so simple! Why is that option not implemented???? The app is packed with a million options, but not that specific option that 99% of people will use? Look at the Meater app! so simple: PLEASE PLEASE add that simple and crucial feature, I just want to read the temperature!

Celsius doesn't have decimals. For now it forces me to use Fahrenheit for better precision(one degree Celsius equal two degree Fahrenheits). I connected hub to my home WiFi to update firmware, now I want to use it Bluetooth only, but there no option to disconnect from WiFi. Specs claims that there three internal sensors in a probe, but app doesn't show temperature for all of them, only one internal temperature.

I like the app but have several suggestions. Favorite recipes should be a section within recipes tab not in a section under more. Also it's difficult to use 2 probes at the same time if using guided instructions, because unlike if you set it manually you just see cooking in progress and have to go into it instead of getting a reading at first glance. Also an option to add your own recipes with prompts would be nice.

this is absolutely amazing. I'm already pretty good on the grill and the smokers. but this raises the bar for even myself. Great, outstanding product. Software is easy to use. Lots of options on cooking that I didn't even know it had. Very highly recommend this. I was showing it off to my friends the very first time I used it. I no longer have to sit by my smoker for hours upon hours. the WiFi feature is the best thing ever

For the most part, app works great! there's some bugs that are annoying like when using multiple probes simultaneously and switching between probes looking at temps it sometimes loses the window so the arrow changes to it being dropped down but it doesn't actually show the graph or chart. you have to force stop the app and restart. happens multiple times in a single cook too. more just an annoyance. being in development myself I hope this helps the devs fix it. 🤞😉

Update. Why did liquid amounts go away in the calculator?? Update. Scale shows error from app when using the calculator.... seems to still be working on IOS though...... Horrible. The Android app REFUSES to send WiFi information. I had to use IOS to connect to it with my work phone. Prioritizing one platform over another is NOT the way to be successful and is completely unacceptable. This WILL work as long as you connect FIRST to an iOS device and then update the firmware. Please fix this.

Using the probe only, overall, good experience. However, there is an issue when trying to go back or return to a previous screen. I needed to reposition a probe mid cooking and the app would not return to a pre-notice screen. What's the deal? Otherwise, the entire concept is terrific. I'm going with 3 stars for now. 'Back', seems like a pretty basic ability.

It's a good app and the thermometer has fairly accurate temp readings. It used to work better before the most recent update. Now it asks to remove the meat from heat and immediately goes to food rest time, even though the meat is still on the heat source. Must be a bug with the app.

Issue 1: This app doesn't let me set a range so I can monitor the temperature in my smoker. For example, I like to set the thermometer to tell me if the smoker temp is below 210°F or above 240°F. Issue 2: The app notification is really short and easy to miss. That makes the unlimited range thermometer useless. Most of the time I'm not near the base, and I rely on the app to tell me when the food is done cooking. Issue 3: Nobody cares about the recipes. The first page of app should show temps

Everything worked OK on my first device. But it will NOT connect to my tablet or wife's phone. Called customer support and as we spoke and I tried again to connect I got the "too many attempts" message. I cannot even attempt to resolve until "later", whatever the app determines that is. Very frustrating.

This is awesome. Small learning curve but easy to master if you place the probe as recommended and here's the hard part, trust the probe. Trust the probe. Only 4 stars because the probes don't hold a charge and you have to remember the first step in cooking is to make sure your probe charge isn't depleted. On the other hand, 2 probes are twice as cool. Every meal perfect temp. Really, perfect temp.

Have had app issues hanging on the middle step during guided cooks. Like when it's time to flip a burger or pull a brisket and wrap it. Just hangs while the temp keeps going. Little frustrating, but I'm experienced enough to work around it. it is probably just an app issue, and I'm hoping it's fixed in an update. The idea is excellent and most people don't seem to be having problems but I did overcook my first brisket and turkey burgers a bit. Single step guided cooks seem ok.

Every time I check the temperature the app locks up and I have to force stop it and reopen it. This is so disruptive that it makes the app almost impossible to use. Also the notifications for stages of cooking keep repeating if the temperature isn't changing much, no option that I could find to turn it off because it was meaningless to me anyways. Tons of features that I don't need and don't want. Even worse is that the thermometers are useless without this piece of garbage.

Until recently, I've been nothing but happy with this app/probe. However, last night I tried to use it while y internet connection was down. I still had wi-fi, Bluethooth, NFC, and every other connection option available for my phone to connect to the probe/controller. The app just sat on a green screen for long minutes doing nothing. It eventually loaded but said the probe was disconnected. When my internet service returned, it connected right away. Is this a known problem/requirement?

Decent app with some drawbacks. Would prefer a widget that I can add for each probe to my home screen so I can see the upcoming steps and temp instead of have to have the app open and bounce back and forth between them Also The primary focus of this app needs to be the thermometer temperature probes, not a cookbook. If I want to cookbook, I'll go on the Internet and find recipes. I don't need this app to primarily show that when I first open it. I'd rather it open directly to the probes.

So far I've been pretty happy with my Chef IQ thermometers. The app overall seems great, but it does bother me that, when I get an alert, the phone vibrates but there is no audible alert. I contacted customer service and was told "At this time we do not have an active feature for verbal notification from the app". I don't need verbal, just some sort of sound to let me know I need to look at my phone. I also run my Traeger app when using this, and I hear the sound for it just fine.

Terrible App, could not update or register probes. So I tried restarting everything, and the app and phone still didn't work. Received error messages when trying to update or register. Un-installed app, reinstalled, restarted phone, and now it won't even get past the login screen. I press login and nothing happens. What a terrible app

This is very intuitive and easy to use. I cook absolutely perfect food with it. Enter the type of meat and then the cut of meat and then how you want it cooked. It does the rest. Tells me when to flip it and when to take it off the grill, including rest time. If I could give it 10 stars I would

I never had one cook that there was no error in the probes. Sometimes It states that the probe base is out of range when it's a foot away. Other times, it says the probe is not in the meat far enough even though it's fully inserted. It goes on and on. I do love how thin the probe is, and it does seem accurate.

ITS A THERMOMETER! Please tell me why I have to toggle between two drop-downs to see temperatures. I just need a view with the meat temperature in the ambient temperature. That's it. I can do all the rest. It's very frustrating having to toggle between two drop downs to see the different ambient temperatures.
