There's only two things not working properly. One is the auto launch feature does not work. Also app freezes when editing settings. There's really few users using this app so don't expect a lot of traps uploaded to the cloud. Trapster is way better but is not compatible with the cobra irad. It would be great that aura cobra's cloud server could connect with google, wase, and trapster and share traps. The worst thing is that it used to be free before escort acquired cobra.

The system has a bluetooth problem that needs to be improved. Sometimes the system can not detect the red light camera until i disable bluetooth then enable it. The concept behind what cobra is trying to do will make this radar the best radar detector. Update 02/15/2020 I see my app doesnt work anymore. I am not sure what is the problem Cobra. Please work on it. Update 08/22/2020. The apps start working fine for now. But it doesn't connect automatically via Bluetooth with my radar detector.

Have to force stop every time you want to close the app. Takes forever to connect to unit. Usually have to "select" an option two or three times before it registers. Sometimes it basically "defaults" to options I didn't choose. Maybe that's the couple hundred dollar difference between Cobra and Escort. Will be the one and only time I try to save money aamd believe the "great" reviews, that's for sure....

The old app worked better. I miss the voltage indicator on app screen. Used to be, it would turn red whenever the power cord to the detector became disconnected. Now you have to push a hidden button just right to check your connection (hard to do while driving). With the faulty cord that came with our detector, you could easily hit a bump that disconnects the radar unit and not even notice it for hours later. Why can't we go back to the old app???

The app is rather good. I own a 29LX Max CB radio and I do like the integration. I'm not entirely sure if there should be an audible tone when an alert has been picked up, but I haven't found an option to enable it. It seems that audible alerts through the cb would be the safest way of conveying information to the driver, as this does not require taking eyes off the road. The battery drain is horrible, but as long as you force close the app that can be managed.

Nice features, the map shows where previously confirmed items are, radar trap, red light scamera etc. Mute and manage the Cobra from the app. However, the battery usage on my Note9 is very high, even when it's "off". I may have to remove it. As others have mentioned, I have to force close the app, big PITA. I'd also like to see mapping and directions integrated with the map.

The experience is great, but it has a major flaw: you're supposed to be able to close the app from the notification pulldown screen by just tapping on the notification. However this doesn't work, and to get the app to close (which is necessary because it drains so much power--another major flaw) you have to go all the way into your general settings menu, then to apps, then find the app in the menu, then click on it, then click force stop. This is a VERY tedious process when you regularly drive!

Real time alerts are quick and easy to understand as well as being able to notify other users of what's ahead. Would be nice to have a app for car audio AV systems with an off line map to link it to a display to be able to see the placements of known cameras and radars. slot of people don't pay for wireless internet in a vehicle and if using Bluetooth from phone to play music, then can't link up for cobra app. But all in all, great app.

I think I'm finally switching to K40. I'm on my second radar detector and it still will not stay connected to my app. I've tried deleting the app, clearing data. All of it. It just does NOT WORK. Really expensive, subscription based radar detector that's dependant on an app with consistent problems. Do not buy Escort/Cobra. This is probably the 5th time I've made a poor review for these issues. Don't forget everytime you try to renew the subscription it doesn't work and Google play refunds you.

After "FINALLY", getting the radar detector to connect to Bluetooth; I must have hit, "forget this device", not realizing. However, it has done just that! It connected 3-4 days ago for less than 5 minutes. I looked on Cobra's websites, followed the instructions in the manual, searched Google... For whatever reason I can't get my phone to find it again Other than feeling it's missing something, the app is actually pretty nice

App is decent. HOWEVER MAJOR UPDATE IS NEEDED!! 1: Radar detector and App seem to disconnect a few times durring my drive even with all location services and GPS turned on. On a hour plus drive, radar had to reconnect about 3 times. 2. Speed on app and radar seem to drop frequently. Every few seconds and kind of defeats the purpose of speed alerts. In order for this to work it has to be constant. 3. Biggest issue!! No navigation input or address input ability. How can you navigate?

Horrible app. The Cobra 480i is a low budget detector that when running without the app gets constant false alarms unless you run the sensitivity setting on low. I like the idea if how the app is supposed to work, but unfortunately it has many, many flaws. I'm running it on a Samsung S20+ and the speed constantly goes to zero, thus when you are running the sensitivity mode in auto it changes every time it goes to zero. Also the sound randomly works when connected to app. Many other issues.

Honestly, it's a great app, easy to connect, user-friendly, decent look/feel. Room for refacing on both, look more than feel. I've experienced an issue with the app staying open in the background and forgetting to force close the app. I feel it could be helpful to have the ability to toggle the app staying open or closing in the background after leaving the vehicle the device is placed in, the devices disconnect, and share no Bluetooth for "x" amount of time. ...Devs? ...Help?

*Update* Since the latest update to the app "allow to run in background all the time" the SPEED indication constantly drops. The user must clear cache to resolve the issue. However this only resolves the issue for approximately 30 minutes. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE! This creates a very annoying situation with constant speed alerts. Also, please add the ability to add an address to navigate to without having to search the map and to pin a location to navigate to. A simple option to add an address.

Awesome app love the ability to control my cobra from my phone, love the added features, love just about everything, why 4 stars? battery drain is ridiculous, connecting to my device has been buggy, the only way to exit the app completely is to force close it, it requires access to my location at all times even when the app is supposed to be closed this is not optional if you wish to use your membership, and the settings and what they mean and do as well as the functions not explained well.

App sucks. Every 20 seconds I get registration succeeded. Attempts to connect fail every time. Never connects. So without connection I can't set the settings. Absolutely worthless. Probably because I have an older 1st or second generation detector (it has issues) of course wanting me to buy a new detector. Switching to escort. Disappointed in cobra. Used to work great. Now I can't control my detector. Sorry cobra, you lost my business.

After a year of use app and unit working fine. One change that would be nice: being able to use "track up" on the map instead of "north up". Having the map oriented north when travelling south can be confusing. But other than that, great app. Update: I am an idiot. That function is there, just too stupid to find it. 5 stars! Update 2/8/19: I've been using the app often lately and it would be great if it could show the location of the "threat" on the map and note if its moving or not.

This app works with Cobra 9200bt. I always turns it on when I am using my radar detector. It does not use mush data as well. I use samsung S7 active. Still don't know why some people say it does not work. Trust me. It is very helpful. Second update. The app is disconnected to the phone and the speed is turned to zero. That makes the app ignore all alerts. Need to fix those errors.

Good app overall, bluetooth connection seems more stable and reliable since the update (5.1.77), and I haven't had any more problems with random disconnects. However in my opinion, the app should integrate with Android Auto as this would make it appreciably easier/safer to interact with/dismiss alerts while driving. It does also from time to time still take a couple of tries to get the app to close, but overall it's a much appreciated improvement over the previous version.

The app is useful, and the features thoughtfully laid out. It does tend to be taxing on the phone's resources, but when I'm in my car, I'm plugged in in, so it doesn't matter all that much. The biggest problem, actually an oversight of huge proportions, is that there is no Android Auto connectivity. By this point in history, someone at Cobra should have noticed this and fixed it. This is what cost you a star.
