Coda is an interesting blend of document and spreadsheet. In theory it is a great platform. In practice it is slow and only usable on a desktop pc. I am already invested in the platform but am using Trello to create new cards and then I import them into Coda later. This is because Coda is unusable on mobile due to how they store the document on the device. Coda puts all data on your device and your device does the hard work, not their servers. Dev team should focus on this.

Useless. They should remove it. Coda on the Web is amazing 10 stars. It's so good. The team are incredible. This app is embarrassing and needs to be removed until they have an entire team devoted to mobile. Having tested all productivity apps extensively i know that if Coda made a decent app like Notion and made their UI as nice as notion and they're nearly there, then they'd wipe the floor with competition. Add a bit more speed. Nothing compares.

I'm hoping to add more stars to my rating, but so far it's clunky, slow and tedious - the opposite of easy. Memento remains the best of this type of app - fast, fun, and so full of customization options! I'll give this one another try when I have lots and lots of spare time... ROFL!!! Hahahahaha!! But, really, I'll give it another chance to prove itself worthy and useful... We'll see...

Speed is a serious problem as your database grows. App has potential but developers need to think about improving performance drastically. It struggles to work even with a 1000 records and a few simple formulas. Customer support is useless when it comes to performance issues and will forward you useless documentation and refuse to acknowledge that the app is a problem. Not happy.

So many bugs, so little capabilities. While the Notion app is an almost complete, full-fledged Notion editor, Coda doesn't deliver even the basics. You can't use the Databases well, logging in is impossible with Firefox, Brave or SSO, you can't create new pages properly. This app is useless and shouldn't exist.

Web version is great and the payment model is much more reasonable than Notion. The navigation and performance of the app is terrible though. The making docs vs pages on docs is confusing and the home page kind of blends everything you have across workspaces? I need a tool like this and I want to use Coda, but wow the app needs some work.

Cannot login with Google account. Always in loop. I have already an account created in my laptop, but the app is useless 👎🏼

Great on desktop, but almost useless on mobile - "a doc as powerful as an app" on mobile this is not. Main problems are bugs with simple text editing (slow buggy typing, repeating words), can't add pages, inability to choose default table columns/data to display on summary tables, frequent doc crashes with no understanding as to why. Coda needs to invest more time into really improving their mobile app experience - I wonder if they even use it themselves to understand the issues + low ratings?

Seems to have good features and customizability but the most important thing about todo apps is that the ux is smooth and you do not have to wait for the app to load your content. Seamless experience is essential for a todo app as i want to spend least time possible using the app while still utilising it to the max. All these shiny features are useless if I have to wait for loading screens in every single transition.

Good on a desktop browser but the app leaves a lot to be desired. Problems include the strangely slow loading times and the apparent requirement to sign in (via Google) pretty much every time the app is launched - very inconvenient. Also, despite a message at the top of the app appearing recently stating "Coda works offline!", loading the app while offline just leads to a "looks like you're offline...you'll need a connection" screen - bit of a contradiction...

App is fantastic. I used to keep atleast 15 different documents. Now I have it all in 1 document. However there are 3 bugs I found in the mobile app. 1. I have to log in everytime I open the app. Sometimes it doesn't ask me to login. 2. While typing in the text box, due to the auto correct feature, once the word is typed it moves the error word forward, instead of replacing it. 3. While deleting the text in the textbox the cursor moves to the start.

It used to work great. Except for not being able to do basic things like creating new pages or moving pages around, it works fine. However, I haven't been able to log in for a while now. I'm stuck in a log in loop and I'm tired of trying.

Coda as a platform is phenomenal in what it can do and I stand by it. On a large screen, it's not all that bad. The interface is kind of ugly but you eventually learn to live with it. That's not the case with mobile. Anyone that actually plans to use Coda on their smartphone will quickly learn that the experience is beyond poor and will start looking into other platforms like Notion. Myself included. It needs major overhaul to the user experience as a whole.

Mobile App is very bad and they make it extra hard to export your data in the end. So don't even start using it, it's only going to annoy you 😅

I wasn't sure why the ratings were so poor in this app, but now that I've installed it, I understand. You can't actually DO anything besides basic text editing. The majority of desktop functionality is just not an option?! The notion app is light years ahead of this one unfortunately. I like Coda for work when I'm on a laptop, but the mobile experience is seriously lacking and I'll have to stick with notion for now. 🤷🏻♀️

I can't sign into coda if chrome is not my default browser. I use Firefox so the sign in buttons open Firefox and then the communication never gets back to the Coda app that I signed in. (Wonder if it is specifically using a Chrome web view instead of whatever is the system default web view.)

Skinned browser! Love using coda but the mobile app needs to be more to be able to store and sync the docs on device. I often need to access when I have no connection.

Fantastic web application. Love it! Able to build robust complex web applications. Unfortunately the mobile app is unusable of editing. It messes up pages when you turn to edit mode. They should turn this feature off until they have these bugs resolved as i needed to go back to my history to restore my pages. The mobile app may be ok for viewing.

I love this app, I use it all the time for things like school work, note taking, even grocery lists. My only issue with Coda is that it is difficult to use on mobile devices. You can still write things, but mobile Coda tends to bug out more on mobile then a laptop or computer. If your looking for something to take notes on your computer with, this should be your go to. Edit: Coda if your reading this, please add the add sub page option on mobile.🙏🙏 Thanks

I used Coda a lot to track all my projects, inventory, process, and results. My favorite feature is the table and buttons you can add to convert tables into apps on mobile. However, when actually use it as an app, it's very hard to use because the app only load 30 rows at a time. After you interact with a row, it resets and you have to navigate to later page again. I open have under 1000 rows but interact with rows on different pages all the time. Being able to search or filter would help.
