This app does a great job at manifesting the paint color on a live picture of your wall. But once I choose colors to try, there is no way to get back to the screen where it shows you the wall! The back button returns you to the initial page that says "start painting". The developers need to work heavily on the navigation because in its current state the app is unusable.

Like everyone is saying, this app looks good and could be great, but it doesn't actually function the way it should. If you use one of their very few stock photos, you can edit the colors with some accuracy, though they tend to look very computer-generated and unrealistic. However, if you upload a photo of your own, which is what most of us are trying to do with this, you cannot edit individual items within the photo with any sort of accuracy whatsoever and the colors don't even look right. Sad

Incredibly frustrating! Everything looks great at the beginning with a huge variety of colors to choose, color matching from photos, etc. But when you actually try to paint, it falls apart. You choose a color then when trying to return to the project, it starts over and everything is lost. Saving a pallette doesn't happen. There is no way to direct the color by masking certain spaces - it just paints the entire photo the same color if it can't decide where the edges are.

I downloaded the app on my Android phone and took the photos of the spaces that I am interested in painting, only to have the app crash REPEATEDLY. I can not upload any photos or take a photo on the app to use without it going to the main screen again and then shortly sending me a message that the app isn't responding and I can either close it or send feedback. Absolutely useless guys.

This app is Awful! Impossible to navigate, doesn't work as it should. You have to paint touching the picture which covers the whole thing with the color then erase what you don't want. I see no way to paint just details. If you go off accidentally...good luck figuring out how to get back to it. After nearly an hour...I quit. I'll be removing the app.

This app is completely worthless. It takes the nice photo from your camera and crunches it down into a pixelated mess. Click on anything and it colors the whole room or exterior. Good luck trying to change your palette. Once you pick palette cookies and return to the office l photo, it resets everything to the gaudy "expert" colors. Very frustrating app. This app is good only for looking at their palette colors and not for visualization.

Good for looking up colors and their LRV, hex etc. Not good for just about everything else. Color depiction is inaccurate as it adds an artificial shadow around the scene. Worst UI I have ever seen on a professional app makes it near impossible to navigate. I must've started and lost a palete 10x before finally figuring out how to save one. Paint a scene only let's you use one color (or the UI is so poor I can't figure put how to add a second one without loosing all progress). I could go on...

Color Visualizer does not work. I tried to use the camera outside to take a photo. First, it did not recognize the wall because it said it was too dark and I should turn on more lights. Its a sunny blue sky kind of day so I am sure it would struggle indoors. Then, after several attempts, I realized you cannot take a photo; you have to stand there for an unimaginable amount of time holding your arm out. If you bring the camera down to your hip during viewing it will say you are moving too much.

The interface is good looking and features would be super useful and well conceived IF THEY ACTUALLY WORKED. I'm pulling my hair out because after spending time picking out colors for a palette, saving the palette, and getting a confirmation that it was saved, as soon as i back out of the screen I'm on or just go to the "my ideas" section, the palette is gone. Nevermind that the actual paint a photo feature is clunky and lacks the features of any basic editor...

Applying the paint to the picture results in patchy, unrealistic looking walls. And the eraser tool isn't adjustable so it's a one size, circle eraser, making it hard to be accurate and create even a semi-realistic look. The colors don't match the sample at all once they're applied to the picture. I personally feel like this app isn't user friendly and isn't at all helpful.

So much potential and so many options but very frustrating to use. The UI is not user-friendly at all. It's actually very difficult to navigate. Every time I use a feature I have to tinker with to try to figure out how to use it. Pallets save, but when I use them in Paint Explore they delete, I don't understand. I try to add paint from Paint Explore but cannot go back to view it, it takes me back to the main page. An app should not be this frustrating to use. But has lot of potential.

In order for this app to get more than 2 stars it has a lot of improvements to go. It has the potential to really help users, but it's missing the mark at its current functionality space. I followed the instructions for this app but it doesn't work when snapping a photo of the wall, you can't get back to the photo to even use the color on the photo after finding one. Holding your phone in the location and using a color is just as bad... Just use it for color reference on the pics in app.

Disappointing. I wanted to virtually paint a house exterior to choose siding and trim colors before getting new windows and shingles in real life. The app couldn't tell the difference between any of the colors in a day lit real estate photo. When I tried to "paint" the garage door, the app selected the door, all the siding, roof and all the grass and trees in the photo as well. I tried multiple times. Useless!

Well, I think it TRIES to do what the description says, but I can't upload any photos to paint the colors I've matched onto. It just crashes. I can use the augmented reality camera to get an idea - sort of. I get the impression that it would only paint a wall completely if it was lit perfect from the front. But, again, if I try pretty much anything other than matching color to an image, the app crashes. And I've had it crash a few times just doing that too.

Useless. I literally have more ability to visualize paint colors using my phone camera's built-in image editor than with this mess. Edge detection is awful and non-adjustable, you can't manually define edges, the color overlay is tinted by the existing color, and you can only have one color on the screen at a time. Clearly a company that made an app just to say they had an app, and didn't worry about functionality.

Save your time. Believe the reviews. All complaints are correct. I thought that people were maybe being a bit harsh. It couldn't possibly be that bad, could it? Turns out, yeah, it's that bad. The "painting" is an overlay that has some kind of partial opacity. I assume to mimic shadows, but what actually happens is that you get wildly different variations of the same color that look absolutely nothing like the advertised color since it is keying off the existing color.

This app, like the Sherwin Williams website, is terribly unfriendly to users. It is not intuitive, it is clunky, and none of the features are actually helpful. I have spent HOURS trying to visualize paint colors in my home with this app, and it just doesn't work. The transparent "painting" overlay does help you get a sense of your potential color, but the brush is difficult to use. Can't zoom in to paint details, and can't use more than one color! This could be so much better.

It gets 2 stars for being able to loosely see how a room would look with different paint. It's not great. Streaks of the old color remain, especially at corners, the AR is buggy, and there seems to be no option to select a second color, even in photo edit mode. It seems like it would have been pretty rudimentary to just add it, and it would help a lot with things like floor colors, ceilings, splash walls... big missed opportunity. The UI is hard to navigate for something with so few options.

The concept of this app is nice. However, if you touch anywhere on any photo that you upload it colors the whole photo. Unless you zoom in super close and then it only colors a very very small area. Overall, it doesn't function and the only nice thing about this app is that you can look at the colors that Sherwin-Williams offers.

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!! Photo I uploaded looks extremely grainy on the app. Then, when I select a color and touch anywhere on the photo, it paints the whole screen. I tried to erase the parts I didn't want to paint and it erases in large streaks, so it's just impossible to paint with any efficiency at all! If ZERO STARS were an option, that's what this app deserves.
